Intel (INTC) plans to invest an additional $15 million in chip startup SambaNova, which is chaired by Intel Chief Executive Lip-Bu Tan, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing corporate records.
The investment, if approved by regulators, would lift Intel's ownership of SambaNova to 9%, according to the report.
Intel and SambaNova didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
Intel shares were down 2.7% in premarket activity Thursday.
