CNBC Pro looked through the most recent Wall Street research for the top stocks to buy as earnings season begins.\nThey include:Square,Alibaba,Domino’s,NetflixandSignature Bank.\nAlibaba\nShares of several U.S.-listed Chinese stocks tumbled after Chinese authorities said thatChina ride-sharing company Didi was the subject of a cybersecurity probe.\nAlibaba was no exception as shares finished the week down almost 5.4%.\nHowever, investors should look past the noise and stick with the stock, according to UBS analyst Jerry Liu.\n“We believe the risk/reward for the stock should slowly improve from here,” he said.\nIn fact, Liu wrote that regulation shouldn’t be the biggest concern at the moment for shareholders.\n“Regulation continues to tighten but competitive concerns are the key right now, in particular as Alibaba embarks on an investment cycle,” the firm added.\nIn the note to clients, Liu acknowledged that a crackdown by China was a slight overhang but said patient investors stands to be rewarded as the e-commerce company continues to ramp up investments and gain share.\n“We believe Alibaba remains an efficient way to capture the consumer and enterprise digitalization trends across China long term,” Liu said.\nSignature Bank\nSignature has been the subject of increased investor and analyst interest in recent months due to its rapid adoption of cryptocurrency, but there’s so much more to the regional bank, Wells Fargo analyst Jared Shaw said in a note this week.\nShares of Signature are up a whopping 89% this year and with earnings coming up later this month, investors should buckle up, Shaw wrote.\n“We continue to believe that SBNY has more positive catalysts than any other bank, and believe shares should eventually reach a 3x tangible book value valuation,” he wrote.\nShaw also said the bank is a key beneficiary of higher rates as Signature is a bit more leveraged than some other banks.\n“Shares have transformed from being one of a few liability sensitive banks in 2015, to now having the 3rd highest asset sensitivity,” he said.\nThe firm also noted that shares of Signature’s stock tends to trend higher whenever the company’s management speaks or provides an update.\n“We expect shares to once again react well to the 2Q actual growth, but we feel SBNY’s now industry leading asset sensitivity is still underappreciated,” Shaw said.\n“SBNY [is] the name to own for 2Q and beyond,” he added.\nDomino’s\nThe pizza chain restaurant was undoubtedly a beneficiary of the coronavirus but it should remain a big winner during the recovery too, according to investment firm Baird.\nDomino’s is scheduled to report second quarter earnings on July 22 and is well positioned to meet or beat earnings per share, analyst David Tarantino predicted.\nIn addition, Tarantino wrote that “we see potential for DPZ’s domestic comps to reach or exceed estimates.”\nMeanwhile, the stock is up just 2.3 % this month and Tarantino said investors should buy any weakness.\n“After strong outperformance for the shares in recent months, we would be more aggressive buyers on pullbacks and less aggressive into further strength, with an eye toward our new $510 price target,” the firm wrote.\nLooking ahead, the firm said management has several levers in its back pocket including a greater emphasis on carryout sales, increased spending on advertising and menu variation.\n“Given this outlook and our continued favorable view of the company’s attractive compounding growth characteristics, we still have a positive bias on DPZ,” he said.\nSquare- Buy rating, DA Davidson\n“SQ shares appear to be increasingly trading\n\n “SQ shares appear to be increasingly trading with Bitcoin, but there is so much more to the SQ story. As detailed in our recent initiation, we’re bullish into 2Q results despite Cash App deceleration as we see material upside in Seller and recent data supports this view. Although we’re way below consensus on 2Q Bitcoin gross revenue, it represents less than 5% of gross profit. With an incremental $1B in investment spending on tap, we believe SQ can outperform even if Bitcoin continues to slide. As a result, we recommend using any BTC-related weakness as a buying opportunity.”\n\nAlibaba- UBS, Buy rating\n\n “We see a slow but steady improvement for the stock In recent months, we believe consensus expectations for FY22 have finally reset to a realistic level. ... . We believe the risk/reward for the stock should slowly improve from here. ... .We believe Alibaba remains an efficient way to capture the consumer and enterprise digitalization trends across China long term. Regulation continues to tighten but competitive concerns are the key right now, in particular as Alibaba embarks on an investment cycle. But given the stock’s valuation, we like the risk/reward.”\n\nSignature Bank - Wells Fargo, Overweight rating\n\n “SBNY the name to own for 2Q and beyond. ... .The stock seems to react very well whenever management provides an update, with shares meaningfully outperforming the group during our May conference & more recently an investor conference on 6/10. We expect shares to once again react well to the 2Q actual growth, but we feel SBNY’s now-industry leading asset sensitivity is still underappreciated. Shares have transformed from being one of a few liability sensitive banks in 2015, to now having the 3rd highest asset sensitivity. We continue to believe that SBNY has more positive catalysts than any other bank & believe shares should eventually reach a 3x TBV valuation.”\n\nDomino’s- Baird, Outperform rating\n\n “We see potential for Q2 comps/EPS to meet or perhaps exceed our estimates, and we continue to believe DPZ is well positioned to show solid operating momentum in 2H21/2022. Given this outlook and our continued favorable view of the company’s attractive compounding growth characteristics, we still have a positive bias on DPZ. After strong outperformance for the shares in recent months, we would be more aggressive buyers on pullbacks and less aggressive into further strength, with an eye toward our new $510 price target.”\n\nNetflix- Cowen, Outperform rating\n\n “NFLX reports 2Q21 results on 7/20. ... .Our proprietary recurring US survey suggests NFLX continues to lead living room TV, as 28% of respondents said NFLX has the best video content, well ahead of other streaming and linear services. ... .We view 2Q21 earnings and 3Q21 sub guide as the next catalyst, as well as any update on long term margins beyond ’21 or any pricing increases in one of the company’s major markets.”","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"09988":0.9,"BABA":0.9,"DPZ":0.9,"NFLX":0.9,"SBNY":0.9,"SBNYP":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":713,"commentLimit":10,"likeStatus":false,"favoriteStatus":false,"reportStatus":false,"symbols":["09988","BABA"],"verified":2,"subType":0,"readableState":1,"langContent":"EN","currentLanguage":"EN","warmUpFlag":false,"orderFlag":false,"shareable":true,"causeOfNotShareable":"","featuresForAnalytics":[],"commentAndTweetFlag":false,"andRepostAutoSelectedFlag":false,"upFlag":false,"length":81,"xxTargetLangEnum":"ORIG"},"commentList":[],"isCommentEnd":true,"isTiger":false,"isWeiXinMini":false,"url":"/m/post/146170487"}
