This is primarily because of smooth supply. Despite inventories remaining limited, higher supply has been helping sales.</p>\n<p>Sales jumped 14.4% in the <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/WSTC\">West</a> but declined over 20% in the <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/NBN\">Northeast</a> and Midwest regions.</p>\n<p>The report also showed that the median sales price of new homes rose 18.4% from a year earlier to hit a new record high of $390,500.
