Whatta run! I’ve had 4K shares @ $42, recently added 1K XLNX @ $148 on the arbitrage.

I’ve been selling Calls on and off on AMD for awhile, being careful not to ‘lose’ them.

Today I decided to ‘sell on the news’, but only sold Calls. I sold 40 AMD 160Cs @ $2.25 for this Friday’s expiration. That’s $9K in possible option monies Friday.

IF called it’ll be @ $162.25 and on my 4K shares, that’s $44K higher than today’s close.

I like the odds that I’ll keep the shares and the $9k, but nothing’s guaranteed.

Thought about selling Calls on my 1K XLNX, but I’ll get 1723 shares of AMD on the close of the merger and that’s my safety net to stay in AMD.
