Still, even though consensus rating is not a buy, 42% upside potential from current levels is projected, on average.
\n
Morgan Stanley’s Meta Marshall says that Zoom Video outperformed low expectations in Q3 as execution has been consistent with the strategy. The analyst reinforced the buy recommendation and forecasts a $365 price, representing 76% upside potential. He believes that Zoom’s Q3 results were \"net-encouraging\", and that the churn rate showcased stability. The price target cut was justified by “multiple compression and a trough likely to occur next year”.
\n
Skeptical, with a neutral rating on ZM and a $235 price target, Evercore ISI’s Peter Levine forecasts margins coming down in January 2023, as the company ramps up investments in both research and development, and sales and marketing. Despite seeing a more reasonable valuation for Zoom, he also sees several challenges ahead for the stock.
\n
Also skeptical, Deutsche Bank analyst Matthew Nikam lowered the firm's price target on Zoom Video to $280 from $350, maintaining a neutral rating on the shares following Q3 results. The analyst said that it is \"tougher to like a stock with more sharply decelerating growth and incremental pressure on profitability”. However, he sees positive strategic initiatives in key growth areas.
\n
Lastly, Mizuho analyst Siti Panigrahi also lowered the firm's price target on Zoom to $300 from $350, while he still maintained a buy recommendation on the stock and a 45% gain forecast. Zoom’s Q3 earnings above consensus “cleared a lowered bar”, aided by better-than-expected online churn ratio and revenue growth. The analyst also said that despite Zoom’s post pandemic growth being under pressure, Zoom Phone, Zoom Rooms and Video Engagement Center will remain crucial for hybrid workers going forward.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Zoom Stock: Growth A Concern, But Experts See 42% Upside
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nZoom Stock: Growth A Concern, But Experts See 42% Upside\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-29 23:32 GMT+8 TheStreet\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Despite reporting Q3 top- and bottom-line beats, Zoom guided low for 2022 and shares dropped 17% after earnings. Nonetheless, sentiment appears to remain positive when it comes to FUBO stock.
\n
The sports TV streaming subscription service just reported very strong growth for the third quarter 2021. It now is near 1 million subscribers, up from just 286,000 in Q2 of last year. In other words, the company’s base subscriber level has almost quadrupled in a little more than one year. However, FUBO stock has surprisingly not been reacting so positively to this news.
\n
For example, year-to-date (YTD), FUBO stock is down almost 25% from $28 on Dec. 31, 2020, to $20.68 on Nov. 22. Moreover, in the last month, the stock has tumbled 26% from Oct. 22 when it was at $28.50.
\n
So, what is going on here? Why would the stock go down even though it just reported really good growth? Something does not make sense here. Let’s dive in and take a closer look at FUBO stock.
\n
What Is Up With FuboTV
\n
First, let’s look carefully at the recent earnings and shareholder letter from FuboTV. The company posted $156.7 million in revenue for the quarter, up 156% year-over-year (YOY). It is also up 19.7% sequentially over Q2 total revenue of $130.9 million.
\n
That puts FuboTV on a run rate growth rate of 105% annually over the next four quarters if this quarterly growth rate continues. That is a fantastic forecast growth rate. And even though it’s lower than the 156% YOY rate, it still means that revenue will more than double over the next year at this pace.
\n
However, the problem seems to be that the company is still losing money. Last quarter its net loss was $105.9 million and adj. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) was negative $81.3 million.
\n
The reason this is disconcerting is that in Q2 its net loss was $94.9 million and adj. EBITDA was negative $47.4 million. In other words, the net loss worsened in Q3 over Q2, even though sales were higher in Q3.
\n
That’s not good. It implies that the underlying business model has a problem. Maybe it’s the company’s foray into sports gambling, or maybe the company has to overspend on advertising just to make higher sales. Both of these might mean it’s not worth it, and the business model needs to change.
\n
Where This Leaves FuboTV Stock
\n
The bottom line is that the company is spending a lot of money, or what it calls “strategic investments” in “programming, team, technology, and infrastructure.”
\n
The problem is that the company is bleeding cash now. Its operating cash flow for the quarter was negative $55.7 million. After capital expenditures, its free cash flow was negative $57.1 million for the quarter. This is not good, since FuboTV’s cash balance is now just $393 million.
\n
That implies that the company might burn through $228 million over the next year at this pace. That will use up 58% of the cash on the company’s balance sheet without a further capital raise.
\n
Moreover, it seems that the company spending really has no end in sight at least not yet. It is laying the “foundation,” in its own terms, with its own unique streaming and sports betting platform. It believes its “interactivity is a key product differentiator.”
\n
What To Do With FUBO Stock
\n
As it stands, eight analysts surveyed bySeeking Alphahave an average revenue target of $1.06 billion for 2022. This puts FUBO stock on a forward price-sales (P/S) target metric of 2.8 times. In addition, their average price target is $45.71 per share — or more than 117% higher than today’s price of $21 per share.
\n
Moreover, other analysts tend to agree with this survey. For example,TipRanksreports that eight analysts who’ve written about FUBO stock in the last three months have an average target price of $46.33. That is 120% over the current price.
\n
In other words, despite the company’s losses and the falling stock price, these analysts remain extremely bullish on the stock. Their view on FUBO stock will likely be borne out in the long run. However, in the near term, the company is still going through a period of foundational spending. That is going to drag its earnings and cash flow down for a good while, and the stock may not rise until that spending abates.
","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
FuboTV Is Growing Very Quickly, but Fubo Stock Is Having a Hard Time Coping
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nFuboTV Is Growing Very Quickly, but Fubo Stock Is Having a Hard Time Coping\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-11-25 08:35 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
FuboTV (NYSE:FUBO) got off to a hot start at the beginning of 2021, but has since fallen off a bit. EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) was negative $81.3 million.\nThe reason this is disconcerting is that in Q2 its net loss was $94.9 million and adj. EBITDA was negative $47.4 million. In other words, the net loss worsened in Q3 over Q2, even though sales were higher in Q3.\nThat’s not good. It implies that the underlying business model has a problem. Maybe it’s the company’s foray into sports gambling, or maybe the company has to overspend on advertising just to make higher sales. Both of these might mean it’s not worth it, and the business model needs to change.\nWhere This Leaves FuboTV Stock\nThe bottom line is that the company is spending a lot of money, or what it calls “strategic investments” in “programming, team, technology, and infrastructure.”\nThe problem is that the company is bleeding cash now. Its operating cash flow for the quarter was negative $55.7 million. After capital expenditures, its free cash flow was negative $57.1 million for the quarter. This is not good, since FuboTV’s cash balance is now just $393 million.\nThat implies that the company might burn through $228 million over the next year at this pace. That will use up 58% of the cash on the company’s balance sheet without a further capital raise.\nMoreover, it seems that the company spending really has no end in sight at least not yet. It is laying the “foundation,” in its own terms, with its own unique streaming and sports betting platform. It believes its “interactivity is a key product differentiator.”\nWhat To Do With FUBO Stock\nAs it stands, eight analysts surveyed bySeeking Alphahave an average revenue target of $1.06 billion for 2022. This puts FUBO stock on a forward price-sales (P/S) target metric of 2.8 times. In addition, their average price target is $45.71 per share — or more than 117% higher than today’s price of $21 per share.\nMoreover, other analysts tend to agree with this survey. For example,TipRanksreports that eight analysts who’ve written about FUBO stock in the last three months have an average target price of $46.33. That is 120% over the current price.\nIn other words, despite the company’s losses and the falling stock price, these analysts remain extremely bullish on the stock. Their view on FUBO stock will likely be borne out in the long run. However, in the near term, the company is still going through a period of foundational spending. That is going to drag its earnings and cash flow down for a good while, and the stock may not rise until that spending abates.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"FUBO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":376,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":874154340,"gmtCreate":1637747666567,"gmtModify":1637747666733,"author":{"id":"3563930588845537","authorId":"3563930588845537","name":"leexy","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/99683f45d54760b438ec2c1856261ad3","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3563930588845537","authorIdStr":"3563930588845537"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/874154340","repostId":"1151967233","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1151967233","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1637745122,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1151967233?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-11-24 17:12","market":"us","language":"en","title":"HP stock rose over 8% in premarket trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1151967233","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"HP rose over 8% in extended trading on Wednesday as it saw office reopenings lifting PC demand ahead","content":"
HP rose over 8% in extended trading on Wednesday as it saw office reopenings lifting PC demand ahead of promising holiday season
\n
The company on Tuesday said it generated quarterly sales of $16.7 billion, up 9.3% from the year-ago period, and $3.1 billion in net income, including a one-time $1.78 billion legal settlement. The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished with a gain of about 9 points after being up more than 100 points earlier in the session, closing at 34,292.29. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite added about 0.2% for its own record of 14,528.33.\nHomebuilder stocks moved higher after S&P Case-Shiller saidhome prices rose more than 14% in Aprilcompared to the prior year. Five U.S. cities, including Seattle, saw their largest annual increase on record. Shares of PulteGroup rose 2%.\nSemiconductor stocks gained strength later in the session, with Skyworks and Advanced Micro Devices climbing 4.5% and 2.8%, respectively. General Electric boosted the industrials sector, rising over 1% afterGoldman Sachs named the stock a top idea.\nThe market has churned out a series of record highs in recent weeks, but the gains have been relatively modest and some strategists have pointed to weak market breadth, measured by the performance of the average stock and the number of individual names making new highs, as a potential area of concern.\nOn Tuesday, there were slightly more declining stocks in the S&P 500 than those that rose during the session.\nHowever, the diminished breadth and volatility could simply be a natural pause during the summer months ahead of the busy earnings season in July, said Bill McMahon, the chief investment officer for active equity strategies at Charles Schwab Investment Management.\n\"I think people are in a little bit of a wait-and-see mode, so it's not surprising to see volatility decline and breadth worsen a tad,\" McMahon said, adding that concern about the spreading Delta variant of Covid-19 could also be weighing on stocks.\nShares of Morgan Stanley jumped more than 3% after the bank said it willdouble its quarterly dividend. The bank also announced a $12 billion stock buyback program. The announcement follows last week's stress tests by the Federal Reserve, which all 23 major banks passed. However, some other bank stocks gave up early gains and weighed on the broader indexes despite increasing their own payout plans.\nThe Conference Board's consumer confidence reading for June came in higher than expected, adding to the bullish readings about the economic recovery.\nWith the market entering the final trading days of June and the second quarter, the S&P 500 is on track to register its fifth straight month of gains. The Nasdaq is pacing for its seventh positive month in the last eight. The Dow, however, is in the red for the month, and on track to snap a four-month winning streak.\nSo far in 2021, the S&P 500 has added 14%, while the Nasdaq has added more than 12% with the Dow close behind.\nJPMorgan quantitative strategist Dubravkos Lakos-Bujas said on CNBC's \"Squawk Box\" that the market appeared to have near-term upside.\n\"The growth policy backdrop in our opinion still remains supportive for risk assets in general, certainly including equities. At the same time, the positioning is not really stretched to where we are in a problematic territory. So we do think there is still a runway. ... It’s too volatile to serve well as a medium of exchange,” he said.\nAsked about bitcoin’s price and Tesla’s market cap, Munger said, “I don’t know which is worse.”\n\nCharlie Munger, vice chairman of Berkshire Hathaway and Warren Buffett’s longtime business partner, on Wednesday dismissed the rocketing share price of Tesla and the recent bitcoin frenzy.\nDuring an interview at the Daily Journal’s annual shareholder’s meeting,Munger was asked whether he thought it was crazier for bitcoin to hit $50,000 or for Tesla to reach a $1 trillion fully diluted enterprise value, he said: “Well I have the same difficulty that Samuel Johnson once had when he got a similar question, he said, ‘I can’t decide the order of precedency between a flea and a louse,’ and I feel the same way about those choices. I don’t know which is worse.”\nShares of Tesla rocketed 743% last year, though it’s currently down about 3% for 2021. Its market cap is about $689 billion. Bitcoin continued to surge to more than $50,000 over the past week after Tesla announced it bought $1.5 billion worth of the cryptocurrency.\nMunger was also asked what the biggest threat to banking is, and whether it was bitcoin or digital wallets like Apple Pay and Square.\n“I don’t think I know what the future of banking is, and I don’t think I know how the payment system will evolve,” he said. “I do think that a properly run bank is a great contributor to civilization and that the central banks of the world like controlling their own banking system and their own money supplies.”\n“So I don’t think bitcoin is going to end up the medium of exchange for the world. It’s too volatile to serve well as a medium of exchange. And it’s really kind of an artificial substitute for gold. International benchmarkBrent cruderose 1.2%, or 93 cents, to $77.10 per barrel.\nDiscussions beganlast weekbetween OPEC and its allies, known as OPEC+, as the energy alliance sought to establish output policy for the remainder of the year. The group on Friday voted on a proposal that would have returned 400,000 barrels per day to the market each month from August through December, resulting in an additional 2 million barrels per day by the end of the year. Members also proposed extending the output cuts through the end of 2022.\nThe United Arab Emirates rejected these proposals, however, and talks stretched from Thursday to Friday as the group tried to reach a consensus. Initially, discussions were set to resume on Monday but were ultimately called off.\n“The date of the next meeting will be decided in due course,” OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Barkindo said in a statement.\nOPEC+ took historic measures in April 2020 and removed nearly 10 million barrels per day of production in an effort to support prices as demand for petroleum-products plummeted. Since then, the group has been slowly returning barrels to the market, while meeting on a near monthly basis to discuss output policy.\n“For us, it wasn’t a good deal,” UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail Al Mazroueitold CNBC on Sunday. He added that the country would support a short-term increase in supply, but wants better terms if the policy is to be extended through 2022.\nOil’s blistering rally this year — WTI has gained 57% during 2021 — meant that ahead of last week’s meeting many Wall Street analysts expected the group to boost production in an effort to curb the spike in prices.\n“With no increase in production, the forthcoming growth in demand should see global energy markets tighten up at an even faster pace than anticipated,” analysts at TD Securities wrote in a note to clients.\n“This impasse will lead to a temporary and significantly larger-than-anticipated deficit, which should fuel even higher prices for the time being.
