However, the automakers later said they were not in talks with Apple.\n\nApple CEO Tim Cook hinted at the company’s work in autonomous vehicles, following recent reports that the company is in renewed talks to develop its own car.\n“The autonomy itself is a core technology, in my view. If you sort of step back, the car, in a lot of ways, is a robot. An autonomous car is a robot. And so there’s lots of things you can do with autonomy. And we’ll see what Apple does,” Cook said in an interview released Monday with Kara Swisher on the “Sway” podcast.\n“We investigate so many things internally. Many of them never see the light of day. I’m not saying that one will not,” Cook added.\nWhen asked if Apple was working on a car itself or the technology within a car, Cook declined to comment.\n“We love to integrate hardware, software, and services, and find the intersection points of those because we think that’s where the magic occurs. And so that’s what we love to do. And we love to own the primary technology that’s around that,” he said.\nApple has long been expected to get into the auto business with its own vehicle or selling its technology to other car makers, and has made a number of moves indicating it planned to do so. Helping bolster its engineering ranks, the company acquired autonomous vehicle startup Drive.ai in 2019.\nAn autonomous vehicle could position the company against Tesla, which is rolling out its own self-driving features. In 2018, Apple hired back Doug Field, then Tesla’s senior vice president of engineering, to presumably work on self-driving cars. Apple has also brought in several other former Tesla employees, including former Tesla vice president of engineering Michael Schwekutsch, now senior director of engineering for the Special Projects Group at Apple.\nTesla CEO Elon Musk had even said last year that he once tried to start talks to sell the company to Apple, but Cook declined to take a meeting.\n“You know, I’ve never spoken to Elon, although I have great admiration and respect for the company he’s built. I think Tesla has done an unbelievable job of not only establishing the lead, but keeping the lead for such a long period of time in the EV space. So I have great appreciation for them,” Cook told Swisher.\nMost recently,CNBC reported that Apple was close to finalizing a deal with Hyundai-Kia to manufacture an Apple-branded autonomous electric vehicle at the Kia assembly plant in West Point, Georgia. However, the automakers later walked back on the claims.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AAPL":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1763,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":340979763,"gmtCreate":1617334408652,"gmtModify":1634521357783,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570006481216354","idStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yeeeeees","listText":"Yeeeeees","text":"Yeeeeees","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/340979763","repostId":"1168930514","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1168930514","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1617332876,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1168930514?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-02 11:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Li Auto Inc. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 199.42 points, or 0.6%, to 32,619.48 after losing as much as 348 points. The Nasdaq Composite also eked out a 0.1% gain to close at 12,977.68 as some major technology stocks reserved losses. Tesla rose 1.6%, while Apple closed in the green.\nStocks that are tied to a successful economic reopening such as airlines and cruise line operators led the intraday rebound. American Airlines and United gained more than 4% each, while Norwegian Cruise Line and Carnival both rose over 2%. Boeing climbed 3.3%.\nThe market experienced some weakness earlier in the day as Federal Reserve ChairmanJerome Powell hinted at one day starting to remove the stimulusthat has boosted the market during the pandemic.\n\"As we make substantial further progress toward our goals, we'll gradually roll back the amount of Treasurys and mortgage-backed securities we've bought,\" Powell told NPR's \"Morning Edition.\" \"We will very gradually over time and with great transparency, when the economy has all but fully recovered, we will be pulling back the support that we provided during emergency times.\"\nThursday's moves pared the major averages' week-to-date losses. The S&P 500 and the Dow are now down less than 0.1% each after hitting their record highs last week. The Nasdaq underperformed with a 1.8% loss this week.\nSome investors have been taking profits in their growth winners which led the market's rebound from the pandemic losses last year. Netflix has fallen 6.7% this month, while Tesla is down more than 5%. The Labor Department said first-time claims for unemployment insurancetotaled 684,000 for the week ended March 20, lower than an estimate of 735,000 from economists surveyed by Dow Jones.\n\"The signs of strength from today's jobless claims read may actually have a perverse effect on the broader market,\" said Mike Loewengart, managing director of investment strategy at E-Trade.\"Meaning that if we continue to see the labor market make strides, this could translate into pressure on equities and on the Fed to reassess its accommodative stance.\"\nOil prices fell more than 4% Thursday as demand concerns rekindled with fresh coronavirus pandemic lockdowns.\nThe 10-year Treasury yield gained just 1 basis point to 1.64%. The short-seller claimed the pickup was years away from production, however Lordstown maintains it’s on track to start producing the vehicle in September.\nLordstown CEO Steve Burns declined to comment on the SEC inquiry Thursday morning to CNBC. He told investors during the company’s first earnings call as a public company Wednesday that it was “cooperating” with federal officials.\nBurns said the company’s highly-touted pre-orders of more than 100,000 pickups — a main target of the Hindenburg report — were simply meant to gauge customer interest, not to confirm future sales. The company previously categorized the pre-orders as “non-binding production reservations” as well, but Burns also has referred to them as “very serious orders.”\n“We’ve always been very clear, right? These are just what they’re intended to be. These are non-binding, letters of intent. They’re called pre-orders out in the real world,” he said Thursday onCNBC’s “Squawk Box.”He later added, “I don’t think anyone thought that we had actual orders, right? That’s just not the nature of this business.”\nShares of Lordstown have tumbled by about 24% since Hindenburg released the report Friday. The stock was down by about 10% during intraday trading Thursday morning. The company’s market cap is $2.3 billion.\nThe company on Wednesday also increased its guidance on capital and operational expenses for this year, largely citing decisions to accelerate the development of its second product (a van) and do more in house production.\nLordstown went public through a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC,in October. It is among a growing group of electric vehicle start-ups going public through deals with SPACs, which have become a popular way of raising money on Wall Street because they have a more streamlined regulatory process than traditional initial public offerings.\nHindenburg’s report on Lordstown comes about six months after it released a scathing report regarding another EV-SPAC start-upNikola. That report also led to federal inquires as well asthe resignationof the company’s founder and chairman, Trevor Milton.\nShort selling is when investors, mostly professional hedge fund managers, borrow shares of a stock from a broker and sell them in the hope of buying them back cheaper. If the stock drops, the investors make a profit off the difference when they return the shares to the broker.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RIDE":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":244,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":327567856,"gmtCreate":1616111329075,"gmtModify":1634527215268,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570006481216354","idStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Drop drop drop!","listText":"Drop drop drop!","text":"Drop drop drop!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/327567856","repostId":"2120163660","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":247,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":327564439,"gmtCreate":1616111290721,"gmtModify":1634527215732,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3570006481216354","idStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Drop mor pls!","listText":"Drop mor pls!","text":"Drop mor pls!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/327564439","repostId":"2120776169","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"2120776169","kind":"highlight","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Reuters.com brings you the latest news from around the world, covering breaking news in markets, business, politics, entertainment and technology","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Reuters","id":"1036604489","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/443ce19704621c837795676028cec868"},"pubTimestamp":1616096021,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2120776169?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-19 03:33","market":"us","language":"en","title":"U.S. safety agency reviewing 23 Tesla crashes; 3 from recent weeks","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2120776169","media":"Reuters","summary":"WASHINGTON, March 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. auto safety agency disclosed on Thursday it has opened 25 ","content":"

WASHINGTON, March 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. auto safety agency disclosed on Thursday it has opened 25 investigations into crashes of Tesla vehicles, including three crashes in recent weeks, and 23 remain active.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) confirmed Thursday that it will send a team to investigate a recent crash of a Tesla in the Houston area. However, the automakers later walked back on the claims.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AAPL":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1763,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":340979763,"gmtCreate":1617334408652,"gmtModify":1634521357783,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570006481216354","authorIdStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yeeeeees","listText":"Yeeeeees","text":"Yeeeeees","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/340979763","repostId":"1168930514","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1168930514","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1617332876,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1168930514?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-02 11:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Li Auto Inc. If the stock drops, the investors make a profit off the difference when they return the shares to the broker.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"RIDE":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":244,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":368690193,"gmtCreate":1614314499312,"gmtModify":1703476236102,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570006481216354","authorIdStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Shud stick with consumer electronics and not apple car","listText":"Shud stick with consumer electronics and not apple car","text":"Shud stick with consumer electronics and not apple car","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/368690193","repostId":"1171144271","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":246,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":357648592,"gmtCreate":1617271884216,"gmtModify":1634521689866,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570006481216354","authorIdStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Rise pla","listText":"Rise pla","text":"Rise pla","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/357648592","repostId":"2124022412","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2124022412","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1617264000,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2124022412?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-01 16:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"NIO Inc. Pandemic winner Zoom Video has dropped nearly 16% in March.\n\"The weakness in technology stocks is undeniable, but it likely won't be a straight line down for the sector and there will be zigs and zags along the way,\" said David Bahnsen, chief investment officer at The Bahnsen Group. \"Tech stock valuations are too high and are screaming for a correction.\"\nInvestors pored over a better-than-expected reading on weekly jobless claims. The benchmark rate hit a 14-month high last week above 1.7%.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":809,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":353776583,"gmtCreate":1616542756042,"gmtModify":1634525324442,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570006481216354","authorIdStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hold palantir!","listText":"Hold palantir!","text":"Hold palantir!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/353776583","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1184,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":353397286,"gmtCreate":1616459881045,"gmtModify":1634525728068,"author":{"id":"3570006481216354","authorId":"3570006481216354","name":"lunthegreat","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":5,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3570006481216354","authorIdStr":"3570006481216354"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"No apple car pls.
