per share\nRevenue:$387 million, up 140% from a year ago.\n\nThe company's net loss for the quarter was $134.2 million.\nThe gaming app for kids hassurged in popularityduring the coronavirus pandemic, as schools shut down and sports teams suspended games. This translated to a successful stock market debut in March, with shares beginning trading at $64.50, a 43% increase from the company's last private financing round in January.\nIt closed at $64 on Monday before the after-hours move.\nIn the first quarter, daily active users, or DAUs, rose to 42.1 million, up 79% from last year. Users spent 9.7 billion hours on the platform, up 98% year over year from March 2021.\nThis engagement translated to $652.3 million in bookings, up 161% year over year. If the company really wanted to turn a profit it could just curb its spending on sales and marketing.</p><p>It may not be a typical Buffett stock, but Snowflake definitely fits the mold of Wood's investments. Losing money never sounds good, but that is closer to profitability than the negative 135% for the year ending January 2020 or the negative 192% in 2019. If the company really wanted to turn a profit it could just curb its spending on sales and marketing.</p><p>It may not be a typical Buffett stock, but Snowflake definitely fits the mold of Wood's investments.
