POINTSInvestors shorting the meme stock AMC Entertainment are estimated to have lost $1.23 billion over the last week.Shares of the movie theater chain rallied more than 116% since Monday. The more than 1,100% jump in AMC's stock since January has defied Wall Street analyst predictions.Investors shorting the meme stockAMC Entertainmentare estimated to have lost $1.23 billion over the last week as the shares rallied more than 116% since Monday, according to data from S3 Partners. The rally cooled off late Friday after AMC’s stock skyrocketed as much as 38% during early morning trading. The shares closed at $26.12 per share Friday, up from $13.68 on Monday. At its peak, the stock reached $36.72 a share.AMC was the most active stock on the New York Stock Exchange by far on Friday as more than 650 million shares changed hands. Its 30-day trading volume average is just above 100 million shares, according to FactSet.With 450 million shares outstanding, the entire company changed hands nearly 1.5 times during Friday’s trading. The so-called short covering could be contributing to AMC’s massive rally this week. The company has about 20% of its outstanding shares sold short, compared with an average of 5% short interest in a typical U.S. stock, S3 Partners said. When a heavily shorted stock jumps higher in a rapid fashion, short sellers are forced to buy back borrowed shares to close out their short position and cut losses. The forced buying tends to fuel the rally even further.AMC’s new retail investors, who stand at3.2 million strong, owned about 80% of the company’s 450 million outstanding shares as of March 11, AMC reported earlier this month. Their efforts, which surged in January, pushed the stock to $20 a share, up from $5, and allowedAMC to lighten its debt load by around $600 million. The retail investors’ agenda has been to keep AMC alive and to “stick it” to the hedge funds, one analyst told CNBC.The more than 1,100% jump in AMC’s stock since January has defied Wall Street analyst predictions. AMC’s business has been under extreme duress. It has around $5 billion in debt and needed to defer $450 million in lease repayments as its revenue largely dried up during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Theaters were closed for several months to help stop the spread of the virus, and when the company reopened its doors, few consumers felt comfortable attending screenings, and movie studios held back new releases. While themovie theater business is rebounding, AMC is still facing strong headwinds. Though the company ended the first quarter with $1 billion in liquidity, the most it’s ever had in its 100-year history, that cash will only keep it afloat through 2022 unless audiences return in droves to make up for months of no revenue. While initial box-office receipts are promising, fundamental elements of the movie theater business have changed in the last year, including theater capacity, shared release dates with streaming services and the number of days that movies play in theaters.“All that really matters here long term, this company is never going to make cash again,” Rich Greenfield, co-founder of LightShed Partners, said Friday morning on CNBC’s “Squawk Box.” “They will never generate cash with their current capital structure. It traded at seven times EBITDA pre-pandemic. It’s now trading at 25 times EBITDA right now and it’s in a worse position today with the changed industry. This just defies all logic.”On the last day of 2019, AMC had a market value of $751.87 million. On Friday, that value stood at around $11.9 billion, according to data from FactSet.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":562,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":131757475,"gmtCreate":1621898891397,"gmtModify":1631888258124,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$$20 strike call options play for 18june good money to be make","listText":"$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$$20 strike call options play for 18june good money to be make","text":"$Tiger Brokers(TIGR)$$20 strike call options play for 18june good money to be make","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/131757475","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":542,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":131463677,"gmtCreate":1621875321399,"gmtModify":1631891467055,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"What do you guys think of amc?","listText":"What do you guys think of amc?","text":"What do you guys think of amc?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/131463677","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":247,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":192118623,"gmtCreate":1621160592662,"gmtModify":1631891467068,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"To the 🌝 ","listText":"To the 🌝 ","text":"To the 🌝","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/192118623","repostId":"1163454382","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1163454382","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1621004581,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1163454382?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-05-14 23:03","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Why AMC Entertainment Stock Jumped Again Friday","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1163454382","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"AMC investors have reason for more optimism on the heels of another capital raise.Yesterday's jump came after the company announcedit raised $428 million. Despite each company showing top and bottom-line beats in the first quarter this year, their stock trades diverged in the wake of their reports.\nAfter reviewing the reports, Cramer doubled down on his conviction that the banks are worth getting behind.\n“I am still bullish on the financials, especially the investment banks like ‘Goldman Slacks’ and the turnaround plays like Wells Fargo,” he said. “After these numbers, the banks have gotten dirt cheap. Believe me, they will not stay that way.”\nBelow is a round-up of Cramer’s reaction to earnings reports from the five financial giants:\nGoldman Sachs\n\nEarnings: $18.60 per share vs. $10.22 per share expected by analysts polled by Refinitiv.\nRevenue: $17.7 billion vs. $12.6 billion expected.\n\n“The numbers were so strong, I’m bringing back the old [nickname] … I’m calling them ‘Golden Slacks,’” Cramer said. “If it traded at 10-times earnings, this would be a $413 stock … I’m betting that is where it’s headed, especially now that Goldman’s allowed to buy back stock.”\nJPMorgan\n\nEarnings:$4.59 per share vs. $3.10 per share expected by analysts polled by Refinitiv.\nRevenue: $33.12 billion vs. $30.52 billion expected.\n\n“To me, this was the second-best report yesterday, although the market seemed to disagree as investors sold the news. But make no mistake, the numbers were fantastic,” he said. “I think the pullback in JP Morgan stock is a buying opportunity, plain and simple, and clearly somebody agrees because the stock started rebounding today.”\nWells Fargo\n\nEarnings: $1.05 in earnings per share versus 70 cents a share expected, according to Refinitiv.\nRevenue: $18.06 billion versus $17.5 billion expected.\n\n“Wells Fargo roared yesterday because this is viewed as more of a turnaround story than a banking story, which is why we actually own it for my charitable trust,” Cramer said. “I keep telling you it’s a better buy than JP Morgan because the expectations are much lower for Wells, and yesterday they absolutely cleared that low bar.”\nCiti\n\nEarnings: $3.62 a share, vs. $2.60 a share expected, according to Refinitiv.\nRevenue: $19.3 billion, vs. $18.8 billion expected\n\n“Just like the banks that reported yesterday, Citi’s got a lot of strength on the investment banking side, but traditional consumer banking was a lot less impressive,” he said. “If I had to rank this quarter, you know what, I’d put it right below JP Morgan’s.”\nBank of America\n\nEarnings:86 cents a share, vs. 66 cents a share expected by analysts polled by Refinitiv.\nRevenue: $22.9 billion, vs. $22.1 billion expected.\n\n“It got the worst reaction from the market. I’m going to say that the market’s wrong. It tumbled nearly 3% today. I thought it was insulting,” Cramer said. “There was nothing particularly surprising in the quarter itself. Do not despair. If we get a couple of rate hikes, this is the one to own, and we’re going to get them eventually.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":426,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":370346301,"gmtCreate":1618557075303,"gmtModify":1631891467163,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ya The shares closed at $26.12 per share Friday, up from $13.68 on Monday. On Friday, that value stood at around $11.9 billion, according to data from FactSet.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":562,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":376660739,"gmtCreate":1619110833221,"gmtModify":1631891467140,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like comment and subscribe!","listText":"Like comment and subscribe!","text":"Like comment and subscribe!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/376660739","repostId":"1171301745","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1171301745","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1619107041,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1171301745?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-22 23:57","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Warren Buffett could teach traders in dogecoin, GameStop and other hot trends a few things about ‘Mr. Market’","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1171301745","media":"MarketWatch","summary":"Be skeptical of fads, fashions and trends and operate within your circle of competence\nMarketWatch p","content":"
Be skeptical of fads, fashions and trends and operate within your circle of competence
\n
MarketWatch photo illustration/iStockphoto
\n
As the old joke goes, St. Peter had some bad news for an oil prospector who appeared at the pearly gates of heaven: “You’re qualified for admission,” said St. Peter, “but, as you can see, the section for oil prospectors is packed. There’s no way to fit you in.”
\n
After a moment, the prospector asked to say just four words to the present occupants. That seemed harmless to St. Peter, so the prospector yelled, “Oil discovered in hell!” Immediately, most of the oil prospectors stampeded out for the nether regions. Impressed, St. Peter invited the prospector to move in and get comfortable. The prospector paused, saying “No, I think I’ll go along with the rest of them. There might be some truth to that rumor after all.”
\n
Let that be a warning to CEOs and shareholders. Steering clear of rumors and self-delusion has been one of Warren Buffett’s key rules, ingrained into Berkshire Hathaway for years. We all need to hear such lessons repeatedly because reality’s temptations are always at war with our ideals.
\n
The serial frenzies in meme stocks like GameStop and cryptocurrencies like dogecoin make this a good time to contrast what investors should do from what many seem to do. Comparing Berkshire’s and crypto’s faithful is apt given their outsized followings: an estimated 30 million Americanshave traded cryptocurrencies and 30 million are expected to stream this year’s Berkshire virtual annual meeting on May 1.
\n
Buffett defines Berkshire as a corporation with a partnership attitude. The value of each investor’s stake will rise (or fall) in lock step. This contrasts with how many seem to view companies with meme stocks or most of the crypto space. There, the culture is casino-like, where a small few stand to reap unimaginable riches while the overwhelming majority lose their shirts.
\n
Moreover, Berkshire’s culture emphasizes patience and permanence. The company ideally holds investments and businesses forever and encourages its shareholders to hold indefinitely, through thick and thin. In the world of meme stocks and cryptocurrency trading, a strong norm favors immediate payday profits to be taken off the board.
\n
Relatedly, the Berkshire ideal accepts that it requires decades to build capital and that accumulating wealth entails skill and time — as well as a bit of luck. In contrast are those who strive to get rich quickly — and effortlessly. Today, some investment market players even seem to believe that everyone should be rich, as a matter of entitlement.
\n
The ideal Berkshire investor focuses on business, operating strategies, products or services and competitive advantages. For many in the meme-crypto world, what counts is hype and adrenaline, not whether there’s a business plan, let alone operations or customers. The Berkshire model is skeptical of fads, fashions and trends, while dogecoin and other cryptos thrive on these.
\n
This leads to the Berkshire canon’s cardinal principle: the circle of competence. It prescribes to invest only in what you can understand with a moderate amount of effort. This excludes at least some meme stocks and many currently faddish “blank-check” IPO-mergers. For most people, cryptocurrencies are outside of their circle of competence. Indeed, large numbers of investors nowadays appear to be way out of their circle of competence.
\n
For investments within one’s circle of competence, Berkshire adherents appreciate that prices fluctuate widely and no one can predict such volatility. “Mr. Market” is a moody manic, always willing to trade with you at the going price, sometimes elevated, sometimes depressed.
\n
Following from both the limits of personal competence and the whims of markets, the Berkshire playbook demands a wide margin between the price paid and the value received. There’s no way to fit you in.”\nAfter a moment, the prospector asked to say just four words to the present occupants. There might be some truth to that rumor after all.”\nLet that be a warning to CEOs and shareholders. Steering clear of rumors and self-delusion has been one of Warren Buffett’s key rules, ingrained into Berkshire Hathaway for years. We all need to hear such lessons repeatedly because reality’s temptations are always at war with our ideals.\nThe serial frenzies in meme stocks like GameStop and cryptocurrencies like dogecoin make this a good time to contrast what investors should do from what many seem to do. Comparing Berkshire’s and crypto’s faithful is apt given their outsized followings: an estimated 30 million Americanshave traded cryptocurrencies and 30 million are expected to stream this year’s Berkshire virtual annual meeting on May 1.\nBuffett defines Berkshire as a corporation with a partnership attitude. The value of each investor’s stake will rise (or fall) in lock step. This contrasts with how many seem to view companies with meme stocks or most of the crypto space. There, the culture is casino-like, where a small few stand to reap unimaginable riches while the overwhelming majority lose their shirts. \nMoreover, Berkshire’s culture emphasizes patience and permanence. The company ideally holds investments and businesses forever and encourages its shareholders to hold indefinitely, through thick and thin. In the world of meme stocks and cryptocurrency trading, a strong norm favors immediate payday profits to be taken off the board. \nRelatedly, the Berkshire ideal accepts that it requires decades to build capital and that accumulating wealth entails skill and time — as well as a bit of luck. In contrast are those who strive to get rich quickly — and effortlessly. Today, some investment market players even seem to believe that everyone should be rich, as a matter of entitlement.\nThe ideal Berkshire investor focuses on business, operating strategies, products or services and competitive advantages. For many in the meme-crypto world, what counts is hype and adrenaline, not whether there’s a business plan, let alone operations or customers. The Berkshire model is skeptical of fads, fashions and trends, while dogecoin and other cryptos thrive on these.\nThis leads to the Berkshire canon’s cardinal principle: the circle of competence. It prescribes to invest only in what you can understand with a moderate amount of effort. This excludes at least some meme stocks and many currently faddish “blank-check” IPO-mergers. For most people, cryptocurrencies are outside of their circle of competence. Indeed, large numbers of investors nowadays appear to be way out of their circle of competence.\nFor investments within one’s circle of competence, Berkshire adherents appreciate that prices fluctuate widely and no one can predict such volatility. “Mr. Market” is a moody manic, always willing to trade with you at the going price, sometimes elevated, sometimes depressed.\nFollowing from both the limits of personal competence and the whims of markets, the Berkshire playbook demands a wide margin between the price paid and the value received. In Berkshire’s value-investing lexicon, this is the “margin of safety,” and Buffett has long said that these are the three most important words in investing.\nFinally, besides avoiding rumor-mongering and self-delusion, the Berkshire playbook says to beware the delusions of others. Berkshire’s Vice Chairman, Charlie Munger, tells a story about fishing for muskies at Leech Lake in Minnesota. A visiting angler asked the local guide, “Are any muskies caught in this lake?”\n“More muskies are caught in this lake than in any other lake in Minnesota,” the guide replied. “This lake is famous for muskies.”\n“How long have you been fishing here?”\n“Nineteen years,” the guide said.\n“And how many muskies have you caught?”\n“None.”\nSo the next time someone tells you of the untold riches being made in day trading, ask them, “How much cash have you banked?”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":465,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":188061833,"gmtCreate":1623416685622,"gmtModify":1631888258047,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Perfect comment and like article for tiger coins","listText":"Perfect comment and like article for tiger coins","text":"Perfect comment and like article for tiger coins","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/188061833","repostId":"2142022769","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":859,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":377354171,"gmtCreate":1619499603193,"gmtModify":1631891467117,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"help to like comment please 🦍🦍","listText":"help to like comment please 🦍🦍","text":"help to like comment please 🦍🦍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/377354171","repostId":"2130441393","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":378,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":370346301,"gmtCreate":1618557075303,"gmtModify":1631891467163,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ya ya guys please short or sell the stock so I can enter again at lower price ","listText":"Ya ya guys please short or sell the stock so I can enter again at lower price ","text":"Ya ya guys please short or sell the stock so I can enter again at lower price","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/370346301","repostId":"1153076451","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":235,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":327825819,"gmtCreate":1616077381931,"gmtModify":1634527351462,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"J pow pow pow 💥 💥 💥 ","listText":"J pow pow pow 💥 💥 💥 ","text":"J pow pow pow 💥 💥 💥","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/327825819","repostId":"1163358852","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1163358852","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1616076828,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1163358852?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-18 22:13","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Why Wait for a Crash to Buy? You can be sure the next time the market has a significant correction -- or even an inevitable crash -- that battle-tested investors won't flinch at taking advantage of lower prices. What if I told you that a lot of promising growth stocks havealreadycrashed?

Shares ofFastly(NYSE: FSLY),fuboTV(NYSE: FUBO), andPalantir Technologies(NYSE: PLTR)have all fallen at least 40% from their 52-week highs. These aren't perfect stocks, but they're definitely not broken. Let's see why I think these are three investments are ripe for the picking in today's market climate.

1. Fastly

This next-gen content delivery network was rocking until the clock ran out on TikTok last year. Caught on the losing end of a trade war dispute between the U.S. and China late last year, Fastlylost a top accountthat was generating more than 10% of its revenue through the first nine months of last year -- and growing quickly, to boot.

There is life after TikTok, even if Fastly stock has shed nearly 45% of its value since topping out in October. Growth will slow from last year's 45% burst, but Fastly's guidance calls for decent 29% to 32% top-line growth in 2021. A recent acquisition is helping pad revenue gains, and Fastly's deficit will widen as it invests in new growth initiatives. This is far from a perfect company right now, but there's a lot to like here. Its net retention rate and dollar-based net expansion rate are slipping, but still comfortably over 100%. Fastly is keeping its customers happy, and there's no reason why the market believes that this is a little more than half the company it was five months ago.

2. fuboTV

We're cutting the cord, and live-TV streaming services are there to fill the void that the leading streaming services can't provide when it comes to live network programming. No one is growing faster than fuboTV in this niche, and it's stepping on the accelerator. Pro forma revenue rose 71% in the third quarter, 98% in the fourth quarter, and fuboTV's guidance calls for growth of 98% to 102% for the current quarter.

There are just545,000 subscribersright now, but they're a loyal and engaged lot of sports fans. Average revenue per user is up to $69.19 a month -- up 17% over the past year -- and that includes an industry-leading $8.47 a month in ad revenue. Why is this stock trading 49% below its December all-time high?

This isn't the only game to watch here. A pair of recent acquisitions will lead to a fantasy sports platform for members this summer and a more ambitious online sportsbook offering by the end of the year. If you think fuboTV's painting too rosy an outlook for 2021, keep in mind that it boosted its 2020 year-end guidance three times and it still found a way to come out on top.

3. Palantir

Palantir and Fastly may initially seem to have been separated at birth. Both companies grew revenue by 40% in their latest quarter, off from a pace in the mid-40% range for all of 2020 (up 45% for Fastly versus 47% for Palantir). Both stocks were slammed on uninspiring guidance. Palantir istargeting 30% growthfor 2021, roughly the midpoint of Fastly's outlook. Wall Street can be a rough crowd when 30%-ish growth brings out the boo birds.

Palantir's business model is naturally completely different than Fastly's. It's more ticktock than TikTok. Palantir's speciality is big-data business intelligence. It arms enterprises with actionable analysis from the data it collets. For better or worse more than half of Palantir's business comes from government contracts. It didn't generate a lot of buzz through its first few weeks of trading after last year'sIPO, but it certainly made up for lost time until peaking two months ago. It's been a 44% tumble from January's high. Palantir's valuation may have been overextended earlier this year, but this quality stock has gone from overbought to oversold in a hurry.
","source":"lsy1603171495471","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Why Wait for a Crash to Buy? Both companies grew revenue by 40% in their latest quarter, off from a pace in the mid-40% range for all of 2020 (up 45% for Fastly versus 47% for Palantir). Both stocks were slammed on uninspiring guidance. Palantir istargeting 30% growthfor 2021, roughly the midpoint of Fastly's outlook. Wall Street can be a rough crowd when 30%-ish growth brings out the boo birds.Palantir's business model is naturally completely different than Fastly's. Palantir's valuation may have been overextended earlier this year, but this quality stock has gone from overbought to oversold in a hurry.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":171,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":169286804,"gmtCreate":1623837928108,"gmtModify":1631888258025,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Can anyone help me like this beautiful comment ?","listText":"Can anyone help me like this beautiful comment ?","text":"Can anyone help me like this beautiful comment ?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/169286804","repostId":"1122785578","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1122785578","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1623836629,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1122785578?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-16 17:43","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Is Arrival Becoming A Short Squeeze Target? On Tuesday, they sold off many sector favorites, including Aprhria(NASDAQ:APHA),Aurora Cannabis(NYSE:ACB),OrganiGram Holdings(NASDAQ:OGI),HEXO(NYSE:HEXO), and Curaleaf Holdings(OTC:CURLF). All fell at rates ranging from 3.4% to 4.5%. Meanwhile, multistate operator Green Thumb Industries(OTC:GTBIF) really took it on the chin, declining 8.4%.
\n
So what
\n
There was little news of any consequence from those companies. Rather, it seems that investors are reacting to one development in Washington that's encouraging on its surface. Following a similar move in the House of Representatives last week, Sen. Jeff Merkley, an Oregon Democrat, and his Republican counterpart Steve Daines of Montana have reintroduced the SAFE Banking Act in the Senate.
\n
\n
But Democrats, who tend to support marijuana reform measures, only control the Senate these days because of the potential tie-breaking vote of Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Senate filibuster is still available to Republicans (who clearly intend to do their best to scotch Democrat initiatives). That means the SAFE Banking Act -- which would protect financial institutions in legalized states that want to offer basic banking services to marijuana businesses -- currently looks like a nonstarter there.
\n
Now what
\n
So the one-step-forward-and-two-steps-back lurch of U.S. marijuana reform continues. On Tuesday, they sold off many sector favorites, including Aprhria(NASDAQ:APHA),Aurora Cannabis(NYSE:ACB),OrganiGram Holdings(NASDAQ:OGI),HEXO(NYSE:HEXO), and Curaleaf Holdings(OTC:CURLF). All fell at rates ranging from 3.4% to 4.5%. Meanwhile, multistate operator Green Thumb Industries(OTC:GTBIF) really took it on the chin, declining 8.4%.\nSo what\nThere was little news of any consequence from those companies. Rather, it seems that investors are reacting to one development in Washington that's encouraging on its surface. Following a similar move in the House of Representatives last week, Sen. Jeff Merkley, an Oregon Democrat, and his Republican counterpart Steve Daines of Montana have reintroduced the SAFE Banking Act in the Senate.\nIMAGE SOURCE: GETTY IMAGES.\nBut Democrats, who tend to support marijuana reform measures, only control the Senate these days because of the potential tie-breaking vote of Vice President Kamala Harris, and the Senate filibuster is still available to Republicans (who clearly intend to do their best to scotch Democrat initiatives). That means the SAFE Banking Act -- which would protect financial institutions in legalized states that want to offer basic banking services to marijuana businesses -- currently looks like a nonstarter there.\nNow what\nSo the one-step-forward-and-two-steps-back lurch of U.S. marijuana reform continues. But shareholders of Aprhia, Aurora, and their fellow cannabis stocks shouldn't be discouraged. Momentum still favors progress, as witnessed by the recent recreational-legalization switch thrown by Virginia. Believers in the future of corporate weed should stay the course.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":328,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":320143399,"gmtCreate":1615055295611,"gmtModify":1703484454403,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[开心] ","listText":"[开心] ","text":"[开心]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/320143399","repostId":"2117639609","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":608,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":189150602,"gmtCreate":1623248835606,"gmtModify":1631888258074,"author":{"id":"3572252350661669","authorId":"3572252350661669","name":"Elongated","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/38d2fb3ef1779fef227be51f2e720466","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3572252350661669","authorIdStr":"3572252350661669"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Woah","listText":"Woah","text":"Woah","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/189150602","repostId":"1188697627","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":359,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
