When Mr. Buffett and his estate sell off his remaining shares, it is likely those money managers will hold an even bigger stake in the company, Mr. Cunningham said.“There will be a dawning of significant leadership and structural change, and these holders are preparing for that battle,” Mr. Cunningham said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":730,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":109299705,"gmtCreate":1619697517307,"gmtModify":1634210654282,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"uwu","listText":"uwu","text":"uwu","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/109299705","repostId":"1183966356","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1183966356","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1619665696,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1183966356?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-29 11:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"NIO Q1 2021 Earnings Report Preview: What to Look For","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1183966356","media":"InvestoPedia","summary":"Analysts estimate earnings per ADS of -0.72 yuan vs. -1.66 yuan in Q1 FY 2020.Revenue is expected to soar on expanding vehicle sales.NIO Inc. , like many other automakers, was forced to halt production this year due to the global semiconductor shortage. Based on the responses, around 10% of the total gross payments, or around $40 billion of the $380 billion in direct checks, could be allocated to the world’s most popular digital asset and stock purchases.
\n
That’s in keeping with findings from other surveys and with a narrative that’s accompanied a surge in individual-investor activity over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Analysts and economists have speculated that boredom induced by the lockdowns coupled with earlier stimulus payments and a lack of activities to spend them on have sparked a surge in the opening of online brokerage accounts as well as interest in so-called meme stocks like GameStop Corp. and AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc..
\n
When it comes to the current round of payments, a Deutsche Bank survey late last month also found investors ready to use the money for trading. In fact, that poll found investors even more eager to push money into the market, estimating approximately $170 billion in potential stock-market inflows out of a then-estimated $465 billion in direct payments.
\n
Drilling down, the Mizuho survey found around 20% of check recipients expected to allocate as much as 20% of their checks to bitcoin and/or stocks, while 13% expected to allocate 20% to 80%, and 2% expected to put 80% or more into the markets.
\n
And between bitcoin and equities, the the cryptocurrency was by far the more popular choice.
\n

\n
“Bitcoin is the preferred investment choice among check recipients. It comprises nearly 60% of the incremental spend, which may imply $25 billion of incremental spend on bitcoin from stimulus checks,” wrote Mizuho analysts Dan Dolev and Ryan Coyne, in a Monday note (see chart above). “This represents 2-3% of Bitcoin’s current$1.1 trillion market cap.”
\n
Some Americans might already have received their money. The earliest batches of payments, coming in direct deposits, were due to hit accounts over the weekend. Paper checks and preloaded debit cards will start arriving in the coming weeks, according to IRS and Treasury Department officials. The IRS said it would not load the third round of payments on debit cards a person received in the first two rounds.
\n
It all comes as bitcoin exhibits its trademark volatility, pulling back Monday after surging past the $60,000 milestone for the first time over the weekend. Based on the responses, around 10% of the total gross payments, or around $40 billion of the $380 billion in direct checks, could be allocated to the world’s most popular digital asset and stock purchases.\nThat’s in keeping with findings from other surveys and with a narrative that’s accompanied a surge in individual-investor activity over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Analysts and economists have speculated that boredom induced by the lockdowns coupled with earlier stimulus payments and a lack of activities to spend them on have sparked a surge in the opening of online brokerage accounts as well as interest in so-called meme stocks like GameStop Corp. and AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc..\nWhen it comes to the current round of payments, a Deutsche Bank survey late last month also found investors ready to use the money for trading. In fact, that poll found investors even more eager to push money into the market, estimating approximately $170 billion in potential stock-market inflows out of a then-estimated $465 billion in direct payments.\nDrilling down, the Mizuho survey found around 20% of check recipients expected to allocate as much as 20% of their checks to bitcoin and/or stocks, while 13% expected to allocate 20% to 80%, and 2% expected to put 80% or more into the markets.\nAnd between bitcoin and equities, the the cryptocurrency was by far the more popular choice.\n\n“Bitcoin is the preferred investment choice among check recipients. It comprises nearly 60% of the incremental spend, which may imply $25 billion of incremental spend on bitcoin from stimulus checks,” wrote Mizuho analysts Dan Dolev and Ryan Coyne, in a Monday note (see chart above). “This represents 2-3% of Bitcoin’s current$1.1 trillion market cap.”\nSome Americans might already have received their money. The earliest batches of payments, coming in direct deposits, were due to hit accounts over the weekend. Paper checks and preloaded debit cards will start arriving in the coming weeks, according to IRS and Treasury Department officials. The IRS said it would not load the third round of payments on debit cards a person received in the first two rounds.\nIt all comes as bitcoin exhibits its trademark volatility, pulling back Monday after surging past the $60,000 milestone for the first time over the weekend. In recent dealings, bitcoin was down 6% at $56,537.\nStocks, meanwhile, ended a choppy sessionmodestly higher, building on record finishes for the Dow Jones Industrial Average,S&P 500,and the small-cap Russell 2000 on Friday. Investors continue to monitor bond yields. The yield on the 10-year note has risen for six straight weeks, sparking a rotation away from previously highflying large-cap growth stocks toward equities more sensitive to the economic cycle.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":325,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":328493420,"gmtCreate":1615546927060,"gmtModify":1703490744936,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"wow!","listText":"wow!","text":"wow!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/328493420","repostId":"1158535571","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":493,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":321739661,"gmtCreate":1615469037353,"gmtModify":1703489476075,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"wow","listText":"wow","text":"wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/321739661","repostId":"1195977229","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1195977229","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1615467127,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1195977229?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-11 20:52","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Toplines Before US Market Open on Thursday","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1195977229","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"U.S. stock futures rose on Thursday10-year rate below 1.5%Jobless claims data In focusU.S. stock fut","content":"

U.S. stock futures rose on Thursday

10-year rate below 1.5%

Jobless claims data In focus

U.S. stock futures rose on Thursday after the market’s blue-chip average set another record high a day earlier.

Futures contracts for the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 96 points, or 0.3%. When Mr. Buffett and his estate sell off his remaining shares, it is likely those money managers will hold an even bigger stake in the company, Mr. Cunningham said.“There will be a dawning of significant leadership and structural change, and these holders are preparing for that battle,” Mr. Cunningham said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":730,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":386097135,"gmtCreate":1613106861927,"gmtModify":1631887922033,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$MAPLETREE INDUSTRIAL TRUST(ME8U.SI)$yes..","listText":"$MAPLETREE INDUSTRIAL TRUST(ME8U.SI)$yes..","text":"$MAPLETREE INDUSTRIAL TRUST(ME8U.SI)$yes..","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/5d71d89270e7292cf8f895f147cffe01","width":"1125","height":"2183"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/386097135","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":518,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":109299705,"gmtCreate":1619697517307,"gmtModify":1634210654282,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"uwu","listText":"uwu","text":"uwu","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/109299705","repostId":"1183966356","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1183966356","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1619665696,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1183966356?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-29 11:08","market":"us","language":"en","title":"NIO Q1 2021 Earnings Report Preview: What to Look For","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1183966356","media":"InvestoPedia","summary":"Analysts estimate earnings per ADS of -0.72 yuan vs. -1.66 yuan in Q1 FY 2020.Revenue is expected to soar on expanding vehicle sales.NIO Inc. , like many other automakers, was forced to halt production this year due to the global semiconductor shortage. The stock is now in bear market territory, having pulled back 35.7 % from the Feb. 10 high of $64.60.

Is the sell-off in the shares justified? Did fundamentals flash the red light to investors, who were thronging to the stock in droves ahead of the current downturn?

The 2020 Highs: The COVID-19 pandemic, which broke out at the end of 2019 and ravaged the global economies for much of 2020, proved a blessing for some companies that benefited from the adversity.

Nio, a luxury EV maker, should have taken a big hit in the year, as cash-strapped users preferred to hold back on big-ticket buys. The company did have its momentum of despair in the first two months of 2020. Not bogged down by the adverse geopolitical milieu, the EV startup chose to be proactive instead. The company announced several innovative product andservice offerings.

Deliveries continued to climb through the year, with Nio's charismatic CEO William Bin attributing the strength to the growing recognition of its premium brand, the competitive and compelling products and services, the expanding sales network, and most importantly, the support from its passionate and loyal user community.

For 2020, Nio delivered 43,728 vehicles, an increase of 111% year-over-year.

The company also managed to rein in costs, giving margins a lift. It also succeeded in mobilizing finances through a combination of equity, debt and strategic investments, removing a key existential risk it faced in 2019.

Promptly the stock began discounting the fundamental improvement and closed out 2020 with a gain in excess of 1,100%. The strong rally stretched valuation to levels, with some skeptics beginning to question the irrational exuberance in the stock.

Fundamentals, Stock Pause At Start of 2021: Nio had a strong start to the year, as it continued to clock record monthly deliveries in January. The stock raced to a record high of $66.99 on Jan. 11, as it reacted to the announcements the company made at the annual Nio Day held on Jan. 10.

Thereafter, it has been a bumpy ride for the stock. Since the start of February, the stock has been caught in the vortex of the tech sell-off. Incidentally, market leader and EV pioneerTesla, Inc.TSLAwas not spared either. Since the all-time split-adjusted high of $900.40 hit in late January, Tesla shares have given back over 30%.

Nio investors were pinning their hopes on a stellar fourth-quarter report to lift the stock from the depressed levels. It was not to be. The stock continued to bleed despite the EV maker reporting $1 billion revenues for the quarter and seeing an expansion in gross margins.

Naysayers were quick to highlight the wider-than-expected loss and the month-over-month drop in deliveries.

As outlined by Deutsche Bank Securities analyst Edison Yu, the underperformance on the bottom line had to do with forex losses, engendered by a weaker dollar.

Although initially Nio did not explain away the February softness, it later clarified in a blog post the weeklong Lunar New Year holiday that fell in the month played spoilsport.

\"The majority of the employees receive seven days off work as a public holiday to spend time with their families, though the celebrations can last for more than two weeks nationwide. Most of the factories were shut down for weeks, and many products that rely on shipping and manufacturing might have been delayed,\" Nio said in the post.

Is Recovery In The Cards: The company has several catalysts ahead, including the launch of its first sedan, named ET7, and its plan to expand into Europe this year. The stock is now in bear market territory, having pulled back 35.7 % from the Feb. 10 high of $64.60.Is the sell-off in the shares justified? Did fundamentals flash the red light to investors, who were thronging to the stock in droves ahead of the current downturn? The 2020 Highs: The COVID-19 pandemic, which broke out at the end of 2019 and ravaged the global economies for much of 2020, proved a blessing for some companies that benefited from the adversity.Nio, a luxury EV maker, should have taken a big hit in the year, as cash-strapped users preferred to hold back on big-ticket buys. The company did have its momentum of despair in the first two months of 2020. Not bogged down by the adverse geopolitical milieu, the EV startup chose to be proactive instead. The company announced several innovative product andservice offerings.Deliveries continued to climb through the year, with Nio's charismatic CEO William Bin attributing the strength to the growing recognition of its premium brand, the competitive and compelling products and services, the expanding sales network, and most importantly, the support from its passionate and loyal user community. For 2020, Nio delivered 43,728 vehicles, an increase of 111% year-over-year.The company also managed to rein in costs, giving margins a lift. It also succeeded in mobilizing finances through a combination of equity, debt and strategic investments, removing a key existential risk it faced in 2019.Promptly the stock began discounting the fundamental improvement and closed out 2020 with a gain in excess of 1,100%. The strong rally stretched valuation to levels, with some skeptics beginning to question the irrational exuberance in the stock.Fundamentals, Stock Pause At Start of 2021: Nio had a strong start to the year, as it continued to clock record monthly deliveries in January. The stock raced to a record high of $66.99 on Jan. 11, as it reacted to the announcements the company made at the annual Nio Day held on Jan. 10.Thereafter, it has been a bumpy ride for the stock. Since the start of February, the stock has been caught in the vortex of the tech sell-off. Incidentally, market leader and EV pioneerTesla, Inc.TSLAwas not spared either. Since the all-time split-adjusted high of $900.40 hit in late January, Tesla shares have given back over 30%.Nio investors were pinning their hopes on a stellar fourth-quarter report to lift the stock from the depressed levels. It was not to be. The stock continued to bleed despite the EV maker reporting $1 billion revenues for the quarter and seeing an expansion in gross margins.Naysayers were quick to highlight the wider-than-expected loss and the month-over-month drop in deliveries. As outlined by Deutsche Bank Securities analyst Edison Yu, the underperformance on the bottom line had to do with forex losses, engendered by a weaker dollar.Although initially Nio did not explain away the February softness, it later clarified in a blog post the weeklong Lunar New Year holiday that fell in the month played spoilsport.\"The majority of the employees receive seven days off work as a public holiday to spend time with their families, though the celebrations can last for more than two weeks nationwide. Most of the factories were shut down for weeks, and many products that rely on shipping and manufacturing might have been delayed,\" Nio said in the post.Is Recovery In The Cards: The company has several catalysts ahead, including the launch of its first sedan, named ET7, and its plan to expand into Europe this year. The company is also making solid progress with respect to its advanced driver-assisted system, battery technology and battery swapping stations. With the increasing uptake of its battery-as-a-service offering and its recently announced autonomous driving-as-a-service, the company has laid the groundwork for recurrent revenue streams. This apart, the attractive market opportunity presented by the burgeoning EV market, both domestically and globally, will prove salubrious for the company. There is no denying the fact that EV manufacturing is turning out to be a crowded field. However, early entrants such as Nio are at an advantage, given their experiences in grinding it out in the early stages.Patient investors, who are willing to ride out the trying times, could be in for rich rewards when things settle down.Nio shares closed down 5.5% at $39.28, with the stock dropping below the $40 handle for the first time since mid-December.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":103,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":362336737,"gmtCreate":1614595193629,"gmtModify":1703478610196,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"good","listText":"good","text":"good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/362336737","repostId":"1181303892","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":145,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":369621488,"gmtCreate":1614041168644,"gmtModify":1634551445175,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"good","listText":"good","text":"good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/369621488","repostId":"1135994288","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":222,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":325957741,"gmtCreate":1615859493683,"gmtModify":1703494084886,"author":{"id":"3573362788573319","authorId":"3573362788573319","name":"petpetbbhams","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8f4c470f4ae6cc1dc2cc6e8a18697498","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3573362788573319","authorIdStr":"3573362788573319"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"wow","listText":"wow","text":"wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/325957741","repostId":"1135565737","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1135565737","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1615856656,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1135565737?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-03-16 09:04","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Americans ready to pour $40 billion into bitcoin and the stock market as stimulus checks arrive: survey","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1135565737","media":"MarketWatch","summary":"Bitcoin more popular than stocks among stimulus recipients: Mizuho\nAnother round of stimulus checks ","content":"
Bitcoin more popular than stocks among stimulus recipients: Mizuho
\n
Another round of stimulus checks could provide a shot in the arm for stocks and, especially, bitcoin, according to a survey released Monday by Mizuho Securities.
\n
The poll of 235 individuals who expect to receive checks courtesy of the latest round of COVID-19 relief signed into law by President Joe Biden found that two out of five recipients plan to invest at least some part of the proceeds into bitcoin and stocks.
