touches and moves the right control lever by mistake, etc. After the active cruise control is mistakenly activated, if the cruise speed set by the vehicle is not the current speed, and the current That took any remaining wind out of the sails of the so-called reflation trade, which had favored shares of more cyclically sensitive companies expected to benefit the most from rising prices and accelerating economic growth.
\n
What changed? There are three important elements to the shift in the market narrative, said Lauren Goodwin, economist and portfolio strategist at New York Life Investments, which has $605 billion in assets under management.
\n
The first is a perceived change in the way the Federal Reserve reacts to data, with investors no longer looking for policy makers to be as tolerant of economic overheating and rising inflation as previously thought, she said. The second is that while economic growth is expected to remain strong, the pace of growth is expected to have peaked . Third, there are worries the spread of the delta and other variants of the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 could force a renewed round of restrictions that will weigh on global economic activity.
\n
\"Together, that's a very different consensus market narrative than we had a few weeks ago, when the focus was all about stimulus and overheating,\" Goodwin said, in a phone interview, noting that investors must now ask: \"Is this new narrative the right one?\"
\n
The real pain in the past week was in the Treasury market, where a rally drove long-term yields sharply lower and prices higher. Much of that rally was attributed to forced short covering by Treasury bears, who had feared inflation, creating something of a feeding frenzy, driving the 10-year yield to a five-month low below 1.25% on Thursday before finally relenting.
\n
But analysts said the move, at least in part, also reflected legitimate concerns over the global economic growth outlook .
\n
That Thursday dive in yields, and accompanying growth fears, triggered a broad stock-market selloff that saw the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite retreat from all-time highs, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed more than 500 points at its session low. Stocks trimmed losses by the close and then pushed higher Friday, with all three major indexes finishing at records .
\n
One casualty was the stock market reflation trade. The small-cap Russell 2000 index RUT (#phrase-company?ref=COMPANY%7CRUT;onlineSignificance=passing-mention) fell 1.1% for a second straight week of losses, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 saw a 0.4% weekly rise. Value stocks underperformed, with the Russell 1000 Value Index falling 0.3%, while the Russell 1000 Growth Index rose 1%.
\n
\"The 'reflation' and 'rotation' trades -- associated with optimism about rapid, broad-based economic recovery from the pandemic and higher inflation -- has arguably been flagging since as long ago as the end of the first quarter, but clearly took another hit this week,\" said Oliver Jones, senior markets economist at research firm Capital Economics, in a Friday note.
\n
Sectors, like energy and financials, and factors, such as value, that benefited most from the reflation/rotation narrative have underperformed, he noted.
\n
Jones argued that it makes sense for optimism about the U.S. economic recovery to top out as supply constraints bite into activity. And global growth expectations may also see pressure, with China's economy likely to continue to disappoint.
\n
At the same time, the U.S. economy remains on track for a very strong recovery in absolute terms, far exceeding the one that followed the global financial crisis of 2008. And core inflation in the U.S. may prove somewhat more persistent than anticipated, he argued.
\n
That sets the stage for a scenario in which \"the rotation/reflation trade label may become progressively less useful in the coming quarters,\" he said.
\n
In particular, parts of the trade, including rapid gains in most stock markets and outperformance by energy companies is likely over for now, he said, while the drop in Treasury yields is probably an \"overreaction\" given the path of growth and inflation in the U.S.
\n
Investors will get a look at evidence on both the inflation and growth front in the coming week. The June consumer-price index is set for release Tuesday, while a producer-price reading is set for Wednesday. A raft of other economic data is due over the course of the week, including June retail sales figures on Friday.
\n
And then there's the start of the corporate earnings reporting season, which is expected to offer another peak as profits roared in the second quarter relative to the early days of the pandemic last year.
\n
\"With earnings season kicking off next week, the bar is set quite high and corporate America better produce another stellar quarter or there could be some disappointed bulls,\" said Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at LPL Financial, after Friday's record close.
\n
Goodwin said the choice for investors boils down to either leaning into the old narrative that benefits cyclical stocks and shorter duration assets or the new one that expects economic growth to prove more sluggish and anemic, much as it was before the pandemic, favoring growth stocks and defensive sectors.
\n
The best response, however, may be a little bit of both, Goodwin said.
\n
Reflation likely still has some room to run in the near term. Distribution of child tax credit payments will begin later this month, while labor shortages may be alleviated in coming months as children return to school and additional unemployment benefits expire, she said, while consumers are sitting on sizable savings.
\n
At the same time, growth and inflation are peaking, she said, and valuations are stretched across asset classes. While still maintaining a cyclical tilt, the changing backdrop calls for a more balanced approach to portfolios, she said.
\n
Investors need to look closely at sectors and individual companies that can leverage changing trends and pass rising prices on to consumers, she said, in a more selective environment rather than one in which a rising tide raises all boats.
","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Stocks trimmed losses by the close and then pushed higher Friday, with all three major indexes finishing at records .\nOne casualty was the stock market reflation trade. Value stocks underperformed, with the Russell 1000 Value Index falling 0.3%, while the Russell 1000 Growth Index rose 1%.\n\"The 'reflation' and 'rotation' trades -- associated with optimism about rapid, broad-based economic recovery from the pandemic and higher inflation -- has arguably been flagging since as long ago as the end of the first quarter, but clearly took another hit this week,\" said Oliver Jones, senior markets economist at research firm Capital Economics, in a Friday note.\nSectors, like energy and financials, and factors, such as value, that benefited most from the reflation/rotation narrative have underperformed, he noted.\nJones argued that it makes sense for optimism about the U.S. economic recovery to top out as supply constraints bite into activity. And global growth expectations may also see pressure, with China's economy likely to continue to disappoint.\nAt the same time, the U.S. economy remains on track for a very strong recovery in absolute terms, far exceeding the one that followed the global financial crisis of 2008. And core inflation in the U.S. may prove somewhat more persistent than anticipated, he argued.\nThat sets the stage for a scenario in which \"the rotation/reflation trade label may become progressively less useful in the coming quarters,\" he said.\nIn particular, parts of the trade, including rapid gains in most stock markets and outperformance by energy companies is likely over for now, he said, while the drop in Treasury yields is probably an \"overreaction\" given the path of growth and inflation in the U.S.\nInvestors will get a look at evidence on both the inflation and growth front in the coming week. The June consumer-price index is set for release Tuesday, while a producer-price reading is set for Wednesday. A raft of other economic data is due over the course of the week, including June retail sales figures on Friday.\nAnd then there's the start of the corporate earnings reporting season, which is expected to offer another peak as profits roared in the second quarter relative to the early days of the pandemic last year.\n\"With earnings season kicking off next week, the bar is set quite high and corporate America better produce another stellar quarter or there could be some disappointed bulls,\" said Ryan Detrick, chief market strategist at LPL Financial, after Friday's record close.\nGoodwin said the choice for investors boils down to either leaning into the old narrative that benefits cyclical stocks and shorter duration assets or the new one that expects economic growth to prove more sluggish and anemic, much as it was before the pandemic, favoring growth stocks and defensive sectors.\nThe best response, however, may be a little bit of both, Goodwin said.\nReflation likely still has some room to run in the near term. Distribution of child tax credit payments will begin later this month, while labor shortages may be alleviated in coming months as children return to school and additional unemployment benefits expire, she said, while consumers are sitting on sizable savings.\nAt the same time, growth and inflation are peaking, she said, and valuations are stretched across asset classes. While still maintaining a cyclical tilt, the changing backdrop calls for a more balanced approach to portfolios, she said.\nInvestors need to look closely at sectors and individual companies that can leverage changing trends and pass rising prices on to consumers, she said, in a more selective environment rather than one in which a rising tide raises all boats.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":211,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":141642309,"gmtCreate":1625871843701,"gmtModify":1633936625089,"author":{"id":"3574917771676685","authorId":"3574917771676685","name":"Neo81","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574917771676685","authorIdStr":"3574917771676685"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/141642309","repostId":"1155625151","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1155625151","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625845018,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1155625151?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-09 23:36","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Long-Term Prospects for Both Space Tourism and SPCE Stock","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1155625151","media":"investorplace","summary":"Virgin Galactic(NYSE:SPCE) stock bucked the broader market selloff today, as SPCE stock surged rough","content":"
Virgin Galactic(NYSE:SPCE) stock bucked the broader market selloff today, as SPCE stock surged roughly 20% on a day when most of Wall Street bled red. (NASDAQ: TSLA) is expected to report second-quarter earnings following the market close Monday, July 26.","content":"
Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) is expected to report second-quarter earnings following the market close Monday, July 26.
\n
In anticipation of this earnings call, analysts at Barclays, Credit Suisse, and Wedbush Securities provided insight into their expectations. Consensus estimates call for Tesla's second-quarter EPS to come in at 96 cents.
\n
Barclay's Take On Tesla
\n
Despite a bearish stance on shares of Tesla, analyst Brian Johnson is expecting an earnings beat, raising EPS estimates for the quarter from 92 cents to $1.08.
\n
The company is highly overvalued, though from conversations with investors, specifically bearish hedge fund managers, it seems many people are beginning to accept Tesla's lofty trading multiples, said Johnson.
\n
Earnings and delivery reports will likely be critical drivers of movement in the company's share price, said the analyst.
\n
Recent pricing increases are likely to outweigh cost pressures, helping to fuel profit improvement and an earnings beat, he said.
\n
The delay in the German plant opening could lead to increases in Chinese production and deliveries, as Tesla will likely ship European Model Ys from its China plant, Johnson said.
\n
With Bitcoin closing around $34,000 likely above Tesla's purchase price range of $32,000-$33,000, the company will probably not have to record an impairment, said the Barclays analyst.
\n
The analyst has raised his second-half earnings and revenue estimates, though they still sit below the consensus.
\n
Longer-term, the bank is still Underweight on Tesla, sticking with a $230 price target.
\n
Credit Suisse's Take On Tesla
\n
Credit Suisse analyst Dan Levy is also expecting an earnings beat, projecting second-quarter EPS at $1.34, according to the Thursday note. The analyst highlighted three themes for Tesla's upcoming earnings report.
\n
First, the development of Tesla's Berlin and Texas plants should materially grow the company's installed capacity, said the analyst. The European plant is crucial for Tesla, as its success will set up Tesla's future in the economic region, he said.
\n
Tesla should end 2021 with a unit capacity of 1.44 million units versus its current capacity of 1.05 million, Levy said.
\n
Second, gross margins should reach 25% (excluding credits) due to the company's price increases and lower than anticipated raw material cost inflation, the analyst said.
\n
Third, expected positive news on Tesla's full self-driving feature should lift the stock, he said.
\n
Longer-term, Credit Suisse remains Neutral on Tesla with an $800 price target.
\n
Wedbush Take's On Tesla
\n
Analyst Daniel Ives is expecting EPS of 99 cents. Despite increasing EV competition, Chinese PR and safety issues impacting demand and a chip shortage, Tesla managed to deliver over 200,000 vehicles in the June quarter, indicating the strength of the company and its ability to accelerate market share, said Ives.
\n
Points of focus for the second-quarter earnings call include a potential impairment charge due to Bitcoin price fluctuations, EV tax credit results, Berlin and Austin factory capacities and timelines, and updates on \"much-anticipated battery technology improvements into 2022,\" said the analyst.
\n
Looking ahead, Wedbush maintains its Outperform rating on Tesla with a $1,000 price target, mainly due to accelerating global adoption of EVs.
\n
TSLA Price Action: Tesla was down 0.91% at $643.38 at the close Friday.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
What 3 Tesla Analysts Are Watching For In Q2 Earnings Report
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWhat 3 Tesla Analysts Are Watching For In Q2 Earnings Report\n
\n\n
\n\n\n<div class=\"head\" \">\n\n\n

\n\n
\n
Benzinga
\n
2021-07-26 07:22
\n
\n\n
\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) is expected to report second-quarter earnings following the market close Monday, July 26.
\n
In anticipation of this earnings call, analysts at Barclays, Credit Suisse, and Wedbush Securities provided insight into their expectations. Consensus estimates call for Tesla's second-quarter EPS to come in at 96 cents.\nBarclay's Take On Tesla\nDespite a bearish stance on shares of Tesla, analyst Brian Johnson is expecting an earnings beat, raising EPS estimates for the quarter from 92 cents to $1.08.\nThe company is highly overvalued, though from conversations with investors, specifically bearish hedge fund managers, it seems many people are beginning to accept Tesla's lofty trading multiples, said Johnson.\nEarnings and delivery reports will likely be critical drivers of movement in the company's share price, said the analyst.\nRecent pricing increases are likely to outweigh cost pressures, helping to fuel profit improvement and an earnings beat, he said.\nThe delay in the German plant opening could lead to increases in Chinese production and deliveries, as Tesla will likely ship European Model Ys from its China plant, Johnson said.\nWith Bitcoin closing around $34,000 likely above Tesla's purchase price range of $32,000-$33,000, the company will probably not have to record an impairment, said the Barclays analyst.\nThe analyst has raised his second-half earnings and revenue estimates, though they still sit below the consensus.\nLonger-term, the bank is still Underweight on Tesla, sticking with a $230 price target.\nCredit Suisse's Take On Tesla\nCredit Suisse analyst Dan Levy is also expecting an earnings beat, projecting second-quarter EPS at $1.34, according to the Thursday note. The analyst highlighted three themes for Tesla's upcoming earnings report.\nFirst, the development of Tesla's Berlin and Texas plants should materially grow the company's installed capacity, said the analyst. The European plant is crucial for Tesla, as its success will set up Tesla's future in the economic region, he said.\nTesla should end 2021 with a unit capacity of 1.44 million units versus its current capacity of 1.05 million, Levy said.\nSecond, gross margins should reach 25% (excluding credits) due to the company's price increases and lower than anticipated raw material cost inflation, the analyst said.\nThird, expected positive news on Tesla's full self-driving feature should lift the stock, he said.\nLonger-term, Credit Suisse remains Neutral on Tesla with an $800 price target.\nWedbush Take's On Tesla\nAnalyst Daniel Ives is expecting EPS of 99 cents. Despite increasing EV competition, Chinese PR and safety issues impacting demand and a chip shortage, Tesla managed to deliver over 200,000 vehicles in the June quarter, indicating the strength of the company and its ability to accelerate market share, said Ives.\nPoints of focus for the second-quarter earnings call include a potential impairment charge due to Bitcoin price fluctuations, EV tax credit results, Berlin and Austin factory capacities and timelines, and updates on \"much-anticipated battery technology improvements into 2022,\" said the analyst.\nLooking ahead, Wedbush maintains its Outperform rating on Tesla with a $1,000 price target, mainly due to accelerating global adoption of EVs.\nTSLA Price Action: Tesla was down 0.91% at $643.38 at the close Friday.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"QTWO":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":312,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":158376722,"gmtCreate":1625132949166,"gmtModify":1633944440810,"author":{"id":"3574917771676685","authorId":"3574917771676685","name":"Neo81","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574917771676685","authorIdStr":"3574917771676685"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/158376722","repostId":"1106223449","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1106223449","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625122086,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1106223449?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-01 14:48","market":"us","language":"en","title":"The S&P 500 Notches Its Second-Best First Half Since the Dot-Com Bubble. After all, they’ve worked hard to try to enjoy life as a senior and to not worry about their financial position. The best way to solve this problem is a well-rounded portfolio with the right balance of dividend, growth and value stocks. This article specifically focuses on the growth stocks to buy and how they can super-charge your retirement portfolio.
\n
Growth stocks typically belong to those companies that are growing at an above-average rate in their respective industries. Moreover, these companies are poised to expand over a long-term horizon thanks to their ability to innovate and reinvent themselves. Growth investors look at forward profitability and cash flow metrics when picking out the best growth stocks to buy.
\n
With that being said, this list below covers seven of the most promising growth stocks to buy, which will deliver returns across several markets.
\n
\n
Cloudflare(NYSE:NET)
\n
Shopify(NYSE:SHOP)
\n
Square(NYSE:SQ)
\n
Snap(NYSE:SNAP)
\n
Alibaba Group(NYSE:BABA)
\n
Etsy(NASDAQ:ETSY)
\n
Roku(NASDAQ:ROKU)
\n
\n
Cloudflare (NET)
\n
Cloudflare has arguably one of the most active companies in the past year, launching more than 550 new products. The cloud platform has been growing rapidly and has expanded its total addressable market to over $70 billion. Additionally, it plans to spread into other profitable areas apart from its traditional content delivery services. Moreover, NET stock’s 12-month returns are at a staggering 180%.
\n
Earnings in the past year have been nothing short of amazing, with double-digit growth in revenues for the past three quarters. Year-over-year revenue growth is at a healthy 51%, with forward estimates at 42%. As it looks to expand its product suite into large TAM areas such as cybersecurity and MPLS/SD-WAN, it will continue to post strong sales numbers for the foreseeable future.
\n
Shopify (SHOP)
\n
Shopify is a leading merchant platform that has consistently delivered for its long-term investors. With businesses having to close down during the pandemic, Shopify became a beacon of hope for small merchants starting their online businesses. As a result, its year-over-year revenue growth is dumbfounding 99.6%, which dwarfs its competition. Hence, with a wide moat and the ability to constantly evolve more than justifies SHOP stocks lofty valuation.
\n
2020 was another stellar year for the company, but it looks like it still has multiple chapters to write in its growth story. Its fulfillment center strategy is one of them, giving Amazon(NASDAQ:AMZN) a run for its money. Moreover, its Payments division and international markets are two major catalysts for future growth. The company expects to grow its revenues by $5 billion by 2023 and take a larger bite out of the e-commerce market.
\n
Square (SQ)
\n
Square has turned into a new-age financial services juggernaut. It has posted stellar growth rates, delivering monster quarterly results and outperforming its already high expectations. It continues to expand its distinct ecosystems, which includes its and Seller and Cash App. Both ecosystems exhibit a $160 billion addressable market opportunity collectively. Moreover, SQ stock has generated over 130% returns in the past 12-months.
\n
The Cash App platform has been a key driver of the company’s growth. Its monthly active users have grown by 50% to over 36 million in 2020. Through its Bitcoin(CCC:BTC-USD) functionalities and the impact of the Cash Card, it creates several monetization opportunities. Additionally, the re-opening of the U.S. and the worldwide economy will propel the stock further as more small and medium-sized enterprises regain their footing.
\n
Snap (SNAP)
\n
Social media giant Snap was in a tough spot a couple of years ago, as its user base stagnated considerably. However, it is now back in the game with improvements in monetization, augmented reality and unique content. Analysts point towards multiple years of double-digit revenue growth ahead, and its high long-term margin structure makes SNAP stock a highly attractive investment.
\n
Daily Active Users (DAUs) for the company increased on a year-over-year basisin each of the four quarters last year. The trend continued in the first quarter, where its DAUs grew by a healthy 22%. Moreover, revenues in the quarter were up 66% year-over-year to $170 million. It has multiple monetization avenues left to explore, including Maps, Spotlight, Stories and others. Hence, with forward revenue estimates of roughly 50%, the company is in pole position to deliver strong returns for the foreseeable future.
\n
Alibaba Group (BABA)
\n
Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has been one of the fastest-growing companies in the past several years. In the past seven years, its business has grown at a spectacular 23.8% CAGR and is still growing at an impressive pace. Year-over-year revenue growth has been at a remarkable 41%, with forward estimates over 35%. Analysts believe that BABA stock could generate over 300% returns in the next five years.
\n
Alibaba has gone a great job of diversifying its income streams from its traditional retail business. Some of these include cloud computing, entertainment, digital media and others. Cloud computing, in particular, is an area where Alibaba will look to invest heavily in the coming years. The high-margin business will help narrow down its losses and open up new opportunities in adjacent areas.
\n
Etsy (ETSY)
\n
Etsy is an online niche marketplace with a wide and sustainable moat. It has witnessed massive growth during the pandemic, as its revenues increased by triple-digit percentages in the past four quarters. Its gross merchandise value (GMV) and revenues increased by roughly 106% and 111%, respectively, in 2020. Moreover, its EBITDA growth on a year-over-year basis is at a stunning 391%. No wonder ETSY stock has surged over 78% in the past 12 months.
\n
With last year’s blow-out performance, investors are worried about whether the company can continue its progress. Etsy is expanding its business through some smart acquisitions. It recently acquired Reverb and Depop to expand its music and fashion recommerce expertise. These acquisitions will also facilitate the company’s global outreach.Etsy posted a 141% year-over-year growth in its first quarter, which suggests that it isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
\n
Roku (ROKU)
\n
Streaming giant Roku has been on a roll in the past year, with its revenues and subscribers fueled by the pandemic. It gained an unbelievable 16.7 million new users during the pandemic and now has 53.6 million users. It is likely to achieve a record 65 million users by the conclusion of this year. With strong user monetization and active user growth, ROKU stock could potentially surge to new heights.
\n
Looking ahead, the company has multiple growth drivers which could push its stock price higher in the future. After all, they’ve worked hard to try to enjoy life as a senior and to not worry about their financial position. The best way to solve this problem is a well-rounded portfolio with the right balance of dividend, growth and value stocks. This article specifically focuses on the growth stocks to buy and how they can super-charge your retirement portfolio.\nGrowth stocks typically belong to those companies that are growing at an above-average rate in their respective industries. Moreover, these companies are poised to expand over a long-term horizon thanks to their ability to innovate and reinvent themselves. Growth investors look at forward profitability and cash flow metrics when picking out the best growth stocks to buy.\nWith that being said, this list below covers seven of the most promising growth stocks to buy, which will deliver returns across several markets.\n\nCloudflare(NYSE:NET)\nShopify(NYSE:SHOP)\nSquare(NYSE:SQ)\nSnap(NYSE:SNAP)\nAlibaba Group(NYSE:BABA)\nEtsy(NASDAQ:ETSY)\nRoku(NASDAQ:ROKU)\n\nCloudflare (NET)\nCloudflare has arguably one of the most active companies in the past year, launching more than 550 new products. The cloud platform has been growing rapidly and has expanded its total addressable market to over $70 billion. Additionally, it plans to spread into other profitable areas apart from its traditional content delivery services. Moreover, NET stock’s 12-month returns are at a staggering 180%.\nEarnings in the past year have been nothing short of amazing, with double-digit growth in revenues for the past three quarters. Year-over-year revenue growth is at a healthy 51%, with forward estimates at 42%. As it looks to expand its product suite into large TAM areas such as cybersecurity and MPLS/SD-WAN, it will continue to post strong sales numbers for the foreseeable future.\nShopify (SHOP)\nShopify is a leading merchant platform that has consistently delivered for its long-term investors. With businesses having to close down during the pandemic, Shopify became a beacon of hope for small merchants starting their online businesses. As a result, its year-over-year revenue growth is dumbfounding 99.6%, which dwarfs its competition. Hence, with a wide moat and the ability to constantly evolve more than justifies SHOP stocks lofty valuation.\n2020 was another stellar year for the company, but it looks like it still has multiple chapters to write in its growth story. Its fulfillment center strategy is one of them, giving Amazon(NASDAQ:AMZN) a run for its money. Moreover, its Payments division and international markets are two major catalysts for future growth. The company expects to grow its revenues by $5 billion by 2023 and take a larger bite out of the e-commerce market.\nSquare (SQ)\nSquare has turned into a new-age financial services juggernaut. It has posted stellar growth rates, delivering monster quarterly results and outperforming its already high expectations. It continues to expand its distinct ecosystems, which includes its and Seller and Cash App. Both ecosystems exhibit a $160 billion addressable market opportunity collectively. Moreover, SQ stock has generated over 130% returns in the past 12-months.\nThe Cash App platform has been a key driver of the company’s growth. Its monthly active users have grown by 50% to over 36 million in 2020. Through its Bitcoin(CCC:BTC-USD) functionalities and the impact of the Cash Card, it creates several monetization opportunities. Additionally, the re-opening of the U.S. and the worldwide economy will propel the stock further as more small and medium-sized enterprises regain their footing.\nSnap (SNAP)\nSocial media giant Snap was in a tough spot a couple of years ago, as its user base stagnated considerably. However, it is now back in the game with improvements in monetization, augmented reality and unique content. Analysts point towards multiple years of double-digit revenue growth ahead, and its high long-term margin structure makes SNAP stock a highly attractive investment.\nDaily Active Users (DAUs) for the company increased on a year-over-year basisin each of the four quarters last year. The trend continued in the first quarter, where its DAUs grew by a healthy 22%. Moreover, revenues in the quarter were up 66% year-over-year to $170 million. It has multiple monetization avenues left to explore, including Maps, Spotlight, Stories and others. Hence, with forward revenue estimates of roughly 50%, the company is in pole position to deliver strong returns for the foreseeable future.\nAlibaba Group (BABA)\nChinese e-commerce giant Alibaba has been one of the fastest-growing companies in the past several years. In the past seven years, its business has grown at a spectacular 23.8% CAGR and is still growing at an impressive pace. Year-over-year revenue growth has been at a remarkable 41%, with forward estimates over 35%. Analysts believe that BABA stock could generate over 300% returns in the next five years.\nAlibaba has gone a great job of diversifying its income streams from its traditional retail business. Some of these include cloud computing, entertainment, digital media and others. Cloud computing, in particular, is an area where Alibaba will look to invest heavily in the coming years. The high-margin business will help narrow down its losses and open up new opportunities in adjacent areas.\nEtsy (ETSY)\nEtsy is an online niche marketplace with a wide and sustainable moat. No wonder ETSY stock has surged over 78% in the past 12 months.\nWith last year’s blow-out performance, investors are worried about whether the company can continue its progress. Etsy is expanding its business through some smart acquisitions. It recently acquired Reverb and Depop to expand its music and fashion recommerce expertise. These acquisitions will also facilitate the company’s global outreach.Etsy posted a 141% year-over-year growth in its first quarter, which suggests that it isn’t slowing down anytime soon.\nRoku (ROKU)\nStreaming giant Roku has been on a roll in the past year, with its revenues and subscribers fueled by the pandemic. It gained an unbelievable 16.7 million new users during the pandemic and now has 53.6 million users. It is likely to achieve a record 65 million users by the conclusion of this year. With strong user monetization and active user growth, ROKU stock could potentially surge to new heights.\nLooking ahead, the company has multiple growth drivers which could push its stock price higher in the future. Its CTV ad segment, in particular, could pay a lot of dividends with the gradual shift from linear to CTV. Moreover, it continues to invest heavily in its content library, with its recent launch of Roku Originals and its acquisition of Saban Films. Hence, it has an incredible growth runway ahead and should continue posting strong top and bottom-line numbers.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"BABA":0.9,"ETSY":0.9,"NET":0.9,"ROKU":0.9,"SHOP":0.9,"SNAP":0.9,"SQ":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":200,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":810770732,"gmtCreate":1630019868126,"gmtModify":1704954571559,"author":{"id":"3574917771676685","authorId":"3574917771676685","name":"Neo81","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574917771676685","authorIdStr":"3574917771676685"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/810770732","repostId":"1158216410","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":240,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":896938613,"gmtCreate":1628550794532,"gmtModify":1631891851949,"author":{"id":"3574917771676685","authorId":"3574917771676685","name":"Neo81","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574917771676685","authorIdStr":"3574917771676685"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/896938613","repostId":"1178202513","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":232,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":173890480,"gmtCreate":1626651429740,"gmtModify":1633925330656,"author":{"id":"3574917771676685","authorId":"3574917771676685","name":"Neo81","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574917771676685","authorIdStr":"3574917771676685"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/173890480","repostId":"1111084715","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":144,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":179390168,"gmtCreate":1626484896154,"gmtModify":1633926370718,"author":{"id":"3574917771676685","authorId":"3574917771676685","name":"Neo81","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574917771676685","authorIdStr":"3574917771676685"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/179390168","repostId":"1198202103","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1198202103","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1626481985,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1198202103?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-17 08:33","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Dow drops nearly 300 points on Friday, snaps 3-week winning streak","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1198202103","media":"CNBC","summary":"U.S. stocks fell on Friday, pushing the Dow Jones Industrials Average into the red for the week, as ","content":"
\n
U.S. stocks fell on Friday, pushing the Dow Jones Industrials Average into the red for the week, as inflation fears overshadowed strong retail sales numbers and better-than-expected earnings reports.\n...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The S&P 500 dipped 0.75% to 4,327.16 and the Nasdaq Composite shed 0.8% to 14,427.24.\nThe three averages closed the week lower to each snap 3-week win streaks. The Dow ended the week down 0.52%, while the S&P 500 dipped 0.97% and the Nasdaq Composite fell 1.87% during the same period.\n\nA U.S.consumer sentimentindex from the University of Michigan came in at 80.8 for the first half of July, down from 85.5 last month and worse than estimates from economists, who projected an increase. The report released Friday showed inflation expectations rising, with consumers believing prices will increase 4.8% in the next year, the highest level since August 2008.\nThe Dow gave up its gains early Friday shortly after the University of Michigan report came out 30 minutes into the session. Losses increased as the day went on with major averages closing at the lows of the session.\nThe consumer sentiment weakness “is at face value hard to square with the acceleration in employment growth and the continued resilience of the stock market,” said Andrew Hunter, senior U.S. economist at Capital Economics, but the report “suggested that concerns over surging inflation are now outweighing those positive trends.”\nInflation fears\nThe market was held back all week by inflation fears although the S&P 500 and Dow did touch new all-time highs briefly. On Tuesday, theconsumer price indexshowed a 5.4% increase in June from a year ago, the fastest pace in nearly 13 years.\nStocks got off to a good start Friday with the Dow rising more than 100 points to above 35,000 shortly after the open.Data released before the bell showed retail and food service salesrose 0.6% in June, while economists surveyed by Dow Jones had expected a 0.4% decline. If that level held, it would have been the Dow’s first close ever above 35,000.\nDespite the week’s losses, the Dow is still up 13% for the year and sits just 1.15% from an all-time high. The S&P 500 is up 15% on the year and is 1.51% below its record level.\n“The market looks broadly fairly valued to me, with most stocks priced to provide a market rate of return plus or minus a few percent,” Bill Miller, chairman and chief investment officer of Miller Value Partners,said in an investor letter.\n“There are pockets of what look like appreciable over-valuation and pockets of significant undervaluation in the US market, in my opinion. We can find plenty of names to fill our portfolios and so remain fully invested,” the value investor added.\nEnergy correction\nEnergy stocks, the hottest part of the market in 2021, fell into correction territory on Friday as oil prices pulled back from their highs.\nThe Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund fell more than 2% on Friday, the worst of any group, dropping 14% from its high. Still, the sector is up about 28% in 2021, making it the top performer of any of the 11 main industry groups.\nWeaker performance from technology stocks also weighed on the market Friday. Shares of Apple closed 1.4% lower afternotching a record closejust two days prior. Netflix shares fell ahead of the streaming giant’s second-quarter earnings report next week.\nInvestors digested strong earnings results from the first major week of second-quarter reports. Though some of the nation’s largest companies posted healthy earnings and revenues amid the economic recovery, the reaction in the stock market has so far been muted.\nThe Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund ended the week 1.5% lower despite big profit growth numbers posted by the likes of JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America.\n“Good earnings might have become an excuse for some investors to take profit. And with earnings expectations so high in general, it takes a really big beat for a company to impress,” JJ Kinahan, TD Ameritrade chief market strategist, said.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":238,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"lives":[]}
