Check outSeeking Alpha's Catalyst Watch for a detailed list of events to watch.

Barron's mentions: Disney(NYSE:DIS)makes the cover of Barron's this week as the media giant is given credit for positioning itself for post-COVID growth. Disney is said to have come out ahead after CEO Bob Chapek and team faced the severest of financial stress tests. \"When parks and theaters emptied out a year ago, costs kept rolling in, and the fastest-growing part of the business, streaming, was consuming cash—as it still is. Yet, Disney generated $3.6 billion in free cash during its fiscal year ended last September. It’s seen producing $3.3 billion this year before the numbers begin a sharp rebound,\" notes Jack Hough. While the movie business is still sputtering to restart and the TV business is seen holding steady at best, streaming results have shattered forecasts. Disney+ smashed expectations in piling up 100M in less than 18 months, compared to the 10 years it took Netflix to hit that level. Disney is targeting 300M to 350M subscribers by 2024 across all of its streaming platforms, including Hulu, ESPN+, Hotstar in India, and Star+ in Latin America (launches in June). PetIQ(NASDAQ:PETQ)and O'Reilly Automotive(NASDAQ:ORLY)also land favorable write-ups this week.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Stocks To Watch: Apple Event, Disney Callout And Earnings Blitz
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nStocks To Watch: Apple Event, Disney Callout And Earnings Blitz\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-04-19 00:17 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Welcome to Seeking Alpha's Stocks to Watch - a preview of key events scheduled for the this week. PetIQ(NASDAQ:PETQ)and O'Reilly Automotive(NASDAQ:ORLY)also land favorable write-ups this week.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":535,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":379151179,"gmtCreate":1618708998791,"gmtModify":1634291353545,"author":{"id":"3578568049321153","authorId":"3578568049321153","name":"TaiGerGenie","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4f7fb80ce571f502f97d061265ea3dbd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578568049321153","authorIdStr":"3578568049321153"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Please do the same when you get the chance","listText":"Please do the same when you get the chance","text":"Please do the same when you get the chance","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/379151179","repostId":"1156411249","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":619,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":379151041,"gmtCreate":1618708963083,"gmtModify":1634291353909,"author":{"id":"3578568049321153","authorId":"3578568049321153","name":"TaiGerGenie","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/4f7fb80ce571f502f97d061265ea3dbd","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3578568049321153","authorIdStr":"3578568049321153"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"If you read the entire article you will realise how scary the situation is with Fiat Currency. earnings seas","content":"
Apple, Microsoft and Nuance are the top three tech companies to watch as first-quarter earnings season begins, say analysts at Wedbush.
\n
Apple, Microsoft and Nuance Communications are the top three tech companies to watch as first-quarter earnings begin rolling out, with the trio poised to show better-than-expected earnings, sales and fundamentals thanks to their rising the fourth industrial revolution.
\n
In a research note to clients on Wednesday, Wedbush Securities analysts Dan Ives and Strecker Backe said that while valuations will continue to be an emotional bull/bear debate, “… the fundamental growth on the horizon for these next-generation technologies is unprecedented as this fourth Industrial Revolution begins to take hold across the tech landscape.
\n
“We believe first-quarter earnings over the next month will be a major positive catalyst for tech names as our checks continue to show robust fundamentals/deal activity across the board,” the analysts wrote, adding that a 25% to 30% upward move for tech stocks is potentially in the cards through the remainder of the year, despite lingering rotation fears.
\n
For Apple, Ives sees the“Supercycle” thesis playing out in both the March and June quarters, with the Cupertino, Calif. giant selling north of 240 million iPhones - well above current forecasts of 220 million for full-year 2021 and besting its previous record of 231 million units sold in 2015.
\n
Microsoft also is poised to be a long-term winner, based on Ives’ team’s field checks, with the Redmond, Wash.-based software giant making progress in the cloud arms race with growth of Azure, a move that they say will continue to narrow the gap between Microsoft and Amazon in the web-services world.
\n
Healthcare cloud giant Nuance, meantime, is another Wedbush favorite as the company continues to be laser-focused on building a global cloud healthcare and AI-driven business as more hospital-wide deployments shift to the cloud, especially as the focus on cloud, security, and sharing healthcare data becomes front and center.
\n
Ives and his team have outperform ratings on all three companies.
\n
At last check, shares of Apple were down 0.42% at $125.68, while shares of Microsoft were up 0.35% at $248.72.
