They, too, were up Monday as investors digested the delivery data.\nLi investors will have a chance to hear more about the outlook for deliveries when Li reports first-quarter results later in May.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"LI":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":960,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":107261439,"gmtCreate":1620513551921,"gmtModify":1634198389090,"author":{"id":"3581061044456313","authorId":"3581061044456313","name":"Mando88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f135e12e9726aa04a56e19e7f1991436","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581061044456313","authorIdStr":"3581061044456313"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Cryptos prices, not just Dogecoin, are likely to be affected by Elon Musk appearance on SNL","listText":"Cryptos prices, not just Dogecoin, are likely to be affected by Elon Musk appearance on SNL","text":"Cryptos prices, not just Dogecoin, are likely to be affected by Elon Musk appearance on SNL","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/107261439","repostId":"1160802774","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1160802774","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1620442206,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1160802774?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-05-08 10:50","market":"other","language":"en","title":"Dogecoin price’s ‘make-or-break’ moment looms with Elon Musk set to host ‘Saturday Night Live’","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1160802774","media":"Marketwatch","summary":"Nikki Beesetti started investing in crypto back in 2017 and paid off her final semester at Purdue Un","content":"
Nikki Beesetti started investing in crypto back in 2017 and paid off her final semester at Purdue University with proceeds from the sale of a single bitcoin that she bought on a whim, which had surged to nearly $20,000.

Now, the product manager for a startup in New York is dabbling in dogecoin ,and sees this weekend as a possible make-or-break moment for the parody coin that has seen a stratospheric, nearly 13,000% rise in 2021.

“This Saturday is going to be a total make-or-break for dogecoin,” Beesetti told MarketWatch in a phone interview.

“If he can really get the messaging right, dogecoin can really take off…or it’s going to crash to wherever it’s going to crash to,” she said.

The 25-year-old investor is one of a number of relatively young traders who are piling into speculative altcoins like dogecoin as the so-called joke asset mints millionaires and draws some concerns about a bubble forming in the nascent crypto complex.

Musk will host NBC’s late-night live television comedy sketch show, “Saturday Night Live,” this weekend and his coming appearance has already drawn cheers and jeers.

Musk has been one of the biggest cheerleaders for dogecoin and crypto broadly. AMD's numerous product launches over the last several months are now paying major dividends for the company that is enjoying high demand, being a poster child for the current chip shortage. However, even after selling over 3.4 billion dollars' worth of chips during the first quarter, it's still not enough.
\n
Q1 Figures
\n
For the first quarter of 2021, AMD reported $3.45 billion in revenue, topping analyst estimates and rising 93% YoYcompared to last year's quarter where revenue amounted to only $1.79 billion and it was the company's best first quarter in a decade.
\n
The stunning jump was made thanks in large part to standout performance by the company's Enterprise, Embedded and Semi-Custom segment that includes server and embedded processor, semi-custom System-on-Chip (SoC), and game console technology development businesses. The big jump in revenue translates to the fact that the segment is well into the black on an operating income basis, which is a major improvement over last year's quarter when it made a loss.
\n
AMD's big run-up in revenue is also reflected in the company's other metrics; along with that revenue AMD's net income has grown by 243% YoY, amounting to $555 million. And if not for an unusual, one-off tax benefit during the previous quarter, this quarter would be AMD's most profitable quarter ever– and it is on a non-GAAP basis.
\n
Along with the EPS that nearly tripled YoY, beating analysts' expectations, AMD's gross margin is holding at 46%, steady versus the previous quarter, the fourth quarter of 2020. If there's a metric that shows clearly just how much things have turned around for a company that nearly went bankrupt five years ago, it's the company's cash balance or more precisely $3.1 billion in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments with long-term debt down to $313million. From this perspective, AMD is in a stronger financial position than it ever has been.
\n
Well Ahead Of Intel
\n
One week before, Intel reported a slowdown in revenue from its data center group. AMD revealed its data center revenue doubled with six straight quarters of record mobile processor revenue that was generated due to an increasing number of customers. Compared to Intel, AMD is more competitive by being more innovative, it performs better, it has a better price point and although its most important business is the data center, its portfolio even gains in diversification with the acquisition of Xilinx.
\n
Outlook
\n
AMD's expectations for both the quarter and for the rest of the year are just as resilient as during previous quarters. For FY 2021, AMD guided revenue growth of 50% YoY whereas Intel expects a revenue decline of 1% YoY.
\n
Demand for its.chips still outpaces supply in most segments, so AMD has yet to fully tap the current market and find ways to meet demand. As its computer processor chip products are commodity goods, the differentiation in quality between competing manufacturers is minimal, which means that the company's profitability depends on maintaining its operations as lean as possible.
As its computer processor chip products are commodity goods, the differentiation in quality between competing manufacturers is minimal, which means that the company's profitability depends on maintaining its operations as lean as possible. major au","content":"
By Ankit Ajmera
\n
May 7 (Reuters)-U.S. auto parts suppliers warned of more production cuts at major automakers as a global semiconductor chip shortage worsens before easing in the second half of the year and aiding in a partial recovery of lost sales.
\n
The chip shortage came at an inopportune time for automakers as demand rebounded from pandemic lows due to low interest rates and consumers' preference for personal transport amid the health crisis.
\n
\"We've embedded a 3% reduction in industry production to factor in what we're anticipating and expecting as further announced downtime that hasn't been publicly announced at this point,\" Lear CorpLEA.NChief Financial Officer Jason Cardew said on Friday.
\n
\"We have line of sight on a more meaningful reduction (in production) in the second quarter than IHS Markit and others are projecting,\" Cardew said.
\n
Ford Motor CoF.N, a major customer for Lear and peers including BorgWarnerBWA.Nand Magna InternationalMG.TO, has said the chip shortage would halve its vehicle output in the second quarter.
\n
Europe's VolkswagenVOWG_p.DE, another customer for the three suppliers, has said it is in \"crisis mode\" over the lack of badly needed automotive chips, with the shortage intensifying and hitting its profits in the second quarter.
\n
Lear, which makes automotive seating, cut its global vehicle production forecast to a 9% rise, from up to 12% it had predicted at the beginning of the year, while also expecting second-quarter revenue to fall 9% from the first.
\n
Auto suppliers also cautioned that the pain from the shortage could linger at least until the next year.
\n
\"We don't expect the supply/demand imbalance to fully recover to normalized levels until 2022,\" said Joseph Massaro, chief financial officer of AptivAPTV.N, a maker of advanced driver assistance systems, vehicle computers and high-voltage cabling.
\n
Auto suppliers are also grappling with pressure on their margins from rising costs of key inputs such as steel and copper.
\n
However, many expect to offset some of those costs as automaker customers focus on building higher margin, more profitable pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles.
\n
\"On the biggest raw material purchases, we have about 60% pass through with our customers,\" BorgWarner Chief Executive Officer Frederic Lissalde said.
\n
Still, most suppliers have raised or reaffirmed their full-year financial outlooks, thanks to the better-than-expected performance in the first quarter.
\n
Analysts highlighted risks associated with the production outlooks from some suppliers as chip demand rises from other sectors such as enterprise, cloud and consumer electronics following speedy COVID-19 vaccinations and economies reopening.
\n
\"The question in my mind is can this (production loss) be made up later on in the year. And that's really an unknown,\" Magna Chief Financial Officer Vincent Galifi said.
","source":"lsy1603171495471","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; And that's really an unknown,\" Magna Chief Financial Officer Vincent Galifi said.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"F":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":437,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":104775884,"gmtCreate":1620430968648,"gmtModify":1634198897215,"author":{"id":"3581061044456313","authorId":"3581061044456313","name":"Mando88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f135e12e9726aa04a56e19e7f1991436","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581061044456313","authorIdStr":"3581061044456313"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/104775884","repostId":"1199435328","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":506,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":376534833,"gmtCreate":1619136275222,"gmtModify":1634288329753,"author":{"id":"3581061044456313","authorId":"3581061044456313","name":"Mando88","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/f135e12e9726aa04a56e19e7f1991436","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3581061044456313","authorIdStr":"3581061044456313"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Go AMD!","listText":"Go AMD!","text":"Go AMD!","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/376534833","repostId":"1143429933","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1143429933","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1619135800,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1143429933?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-04-23 07:56","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Semiconductor Watchlist: AMD Shares Soar Amid Shortage","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1143429933","media":"The Street","summary":"See buy or sell recommendations for Nvidia, Qualcomm, Nxp, Broadcom, Taiwan Semiconductor, and more ","content":"
See buy or sell recommendations for Nvidia, Qualcomm, Nxp, Broadcom, Taiwan Semiconductor, and more semiconductor stocks.

Chip shortages are only worsening in the auto sector, according to Jim Cramer, the founder of TheStreet.
