NIO is seeking new listing in Hong Kong. As such, large lots of new shares are being offered to big shareholders and other big investors and the offer prices must be made attractive to them. The usual way to do it is suppressing the market prices. This happened with the previous offers of new shares and it is happening now again. If you didn't expect a pullback soon, you must have been dreaming. You can't go up 20% in a few days and not expect some kind of pullback. This is very healthy and a good time to start adding on this dip. It may dip a bit more, but this upward trend over the last month is your friend. The trend is your friend. Blue skies are coming. Battery day is in another week, and there doesn't appear to be a slowdown in demand. Shorters are just shorting, because they saw the quick rise. Smart ones will be covering very soon and catching the next wave. In the meantime, go fish or golf and wait for earnings and future projections. Take advantage of the market pullback. There is no direct news to impact $NIO or $XPEV. Keep in mind that education companies based in China that have been hammered are being regulated by the government because they want 'fair/equal' education for all of their citizens. That does not translate to the EV market, as much as the fearmongering would suggest. Again, NIO and XPEV are above the fray. The market pullback is more profit taking before ER of many of companies reporting this week, which is just creating volatility. WE should bounce back soon...majority are holding.
