referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"></p><p>5月26日，国家卫生健康委在北京发布《中国吸烟危害健康报告2020》。</p><p>《报告2020》称，虽然电子烟对人群健康危害的研究有限，但已有研究表明，使用电子烟可以增加心血管疾病和肺部疾病的发病风险，可以影响胎儿发育。</p><p>比如，一项基于8087例研究对象的横断面调查结果显示，电子烟使用与慢性肺部疾病和非吸烟者哮喘之间密切相关。</p><p>另外，由于大多数电子烟使用者同时使用卷烟或其他烟草制品，会出现两种或多种产品导致的健康危害叠加。</p><p>另一项基于39747例研究对象的横断面调查结果显示，与使用传统卷烟的吸烟者相比，同时使用传统卷烟和电子烟的吸烟者健康评分更低，呼吸困难评分更高；该研究还发现，使用电子烟可增加疾病风险，特别是呼吸系统疾病风险。</p><p><b>青少年使用电子烟后更容易去吸卷烟</b></p><p>《报告2020》还对电子烟对青少年的影响做出评估：使用电子烟可能致人更容易使用卷烟，这一现象在青少年中尤为明显。</p><p>一项纳入91051名青少年的Meta分析研究结果显示，青少年使用电子烟后成为卷烟使用者的风险是从不使用电子烟者的2.21倍。</p><p>电子烟除了会吸引青少年使用卷烟外，本身亦对青少年的身心健康和成长造成不良影响。2016年《美国卫生总监报告》中关于青少年电子烟使用的报告显示，电子烟中的尼古丁会影响青少年的大脑发育，青春期使用会对青少年的注意力、学习、情绪波动和冲动控制产生影响。</p><p>《报告2020》称，目前普遍认为，“加味”是吸引青少年尝试电子烟的重要原因之一。“世界卫生组织烟草控制框架公约缔约方会议-第七届会议报告”指出：3/4的青少年被调查者表示，如果电子烟没有添加口味，他们不会再使用这些产品。2019年美国对青少年的最新调查结果显示，目前使用电子烟的青少年中，估计有72.2%的高中生和59.2%的初中生使用了调味电子烟，其中水果、薄荷醇或薄荷、糖果味最常见。</p><p>此外，《报告2020》还强调，电子烟的“香味”和包装上的卡通图案亦会增加儿童误食电子烟烟液的可能。国外医学界曾报道一名儿童由于误食用电子烟烟液而突发感觉神经性听力障碍。</p><p>在我国，电子烟的使用呈明显增长趋势。《2015中国成人烟草调查报告》显示，我国15岁及以上人群电子烟的使用率仅为0.5%，且绝大部分是偶然使用。然而，《2018中国成人烟草调查报告》显示，我国电子烟的使用率已经上升到0.9%，使用电子烟的人数约为1035万，其中年轻人使用比例相对较高，15~24岁年龄组为1.5%，在所有年龄段中是最高的。</p><p>此外，我国《2019中国中学生烟草调查》显示，初中学生的电子烟使用率为2.7%，普通高中学生为2.2%，职业学校学生为4.5%。</p>","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE That growth rate is fairly good, assuming the company can keep it up.</p><p type=\"text\">Careful consideration of revenue growth and earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) margins can help inform a view on the sustainability of the recent profit growth. While we note Methode Electronics's EBIT margins were flat over the last year, revenue grew by a solid 2.0% to US$1.0b. referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\">5月26日，国家卫生健康委在北京发布《中国吸烟危害健康报告2020》（下简称《报告2020》），与2012年原卫生部发布的旧版报告相比，《报告2020》新增加了电子烟的健康危害章节，指出“有充分证据表明电子烟是不安全的”。</p><p><b>“电子烟烟雾等具有细胞毒性”</b></p><p>《报告2020》指出，电子烟烟液中含有有害物质。专门从事癌症研究的机构罗斯韦尔•帕克综合癌症中心的Goniewicz2014年曾发表一项研究，对12个电子烟样品中的醛类化合物进行测定，甲醛检出率100%、乙醛检出率100%、丙烯醛检出率91.67%、邻甲基苯甲醛检出率100%。</p><p>这些物质属于低分子醛酮类化合物，这是一类对呼吸系统有强烈刺激作用的有害物质，甲醛、乙醛分别被国际癌症研究所（IARC）列为1类、2B类致癌物。</p><p>电子烟烟液基本上都含有尼古丁成分。《报告2020》指出，尼古丁作为电子烟的主要成分，除了让使用者产生依赖性，还会在妊娠期对胎儿的发育产生不良影响，并可能导致心血管疾病。胎儿和青少年接触尼古丁可能对大脑发育造成长期不良后果，可能导致学习障碍和焦虑症。</p><p>实验室研究证据还表明，电子烟气溶胶中含有有害物质，二手气溶胶是一种新的空气污染源。</p><p>《报告2020》指出，当气溶胶的浓度达到足够高时，将对人类健康造成威胁，尤其是对哮喘患者及有呼吸道疾病的人群。有研究表明，电子烟烟雾可增加空气中丙二醇、甘油、尼古丁、细颗粒物、挥发性有机化合物和多环芳烃等的浓度。</p><p>《报告2020》还提出，电子烟气溶胶中的金属含量可能比可燃烟草卷烟中的多。而且在某些情况下，其浓度比卷烟烟雾中的含量高。虽然电子烟气溶胶的纳米粒子质量很小，但其毒理学影响可能是显著的。“有毒化学物质附着在小纳米颗粒上可能比附着在较大亚微米颗粒上对健康的影响更大。”</p><p>此外，“电子烟烟雾等具有细胞毒性”，《报告2020》援引一些实验室研究称，暴露于电子烟烟雾提取物的细胞比未暴露的细胞更容易发生DNA损伤和死亡。</p><p>和传统卷烟产品不一样的是，电子烟产品往往会添加不同的香味。《报告2020》指出，电子烟调味剂加热后可产生有害物质。电子烟中调味剂的不合理使用，会增加对电子烟使用者的危害。</p><p><b>同时使用卷烟和电子烟，危害会叠加</b></p><p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1da6da632b67273d69abf134fa7f84bc\" tg-width=\"550\" tg-height=\"733\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"></p><p>5月26日，国家卫生健康委在北京发布《中国吸烟危害健康报告2020》。</p><p>《报告2020》称，虽然电子烟对人群健康危害的研究有限，但已有研究表明，使用电子烟可以增加心血管疾病和肺部疾病的发病风险，可以影响胎儿发育。</p><p>比如，一项基于8087例研究对象的横断面调查结果显示，电子烟使用与慢性肺部疾病和非吸烟者哮喘之间密切相关。</p><p>另外，由于大多数电子烟使用者同时使用卷烟或其他烟草制品，会出现两种或多种产品导致的健康危害叠加。</p><p>另一项基于39747例研究对象的横断面调查结果显示，与使用传统卷烟的吸烟者相比，同时使用传统卷烟和电子烟的吸烟者健康评分更低，呼吸困难评分更高；该研究还发现，使用电子烟可增加疾病风险，特别是呼吸系统疾病风险。</p><p><b>青少年使用电子烟后更容易去吸卷烟</b></p><p>《报告2020》还对电子烟对青少年的影响做出评估：使用电子烟可能致人更容易使用卷烟，这一现象在青少年中尤为明显。</p><p>一项纳入91051名青少年的Meta分析研究结果显示，青少年使用电子烟后成为卷烟使用者的风险是从不使用电子烟者的2.21倍。</p><p>电子烟除了会吸引青少年使用卷烟外，本身亦对青少年的身心健康和成长造成不良影响。2016年《美国卫生总监报告》中关于青少年电子烟使用的报告显示，电子烟中的尼古丁会影响青少年的大脑发育，青春期使用会对青少年的注意力、学习、情绪波动和冲动控制产生影响。</p><p>《报告2020》称，目前普遍认为，“加味”是吸引青少年尝试电子烟的重要原因之一。“世界卫生组织烟草控制框架公约缔约方会议-第七届会议报告”指出：3/4的青少年被调查者表示，如果电子烟没有添加口味，他们不会再使用这些产品。2019年美国对青少年的最新调查结果显示，目前使用电子烟的青少年中，估计有72.2%的高中生和59.2%的初中生使用了调味电子烟，其中水果、薄荷醇或薄荷、糖果味最常见。</p><p>此外，《报告2020》还强调，电子烟的“香味”和包装上的卡通图案亦会增加儿童误食电子烟烟液的可能。国外医学界曾报道一名儿童由于误食用电子烟烟液而突发感觉神经性听力障碍。</p><p>在我国，电子烟的使用呈明显增长趋势。《2015中国成人烟草调查报告》显示，我国15岁及以上人群电子烟的使用率仅为0.5%，且绝大部分是偶然使用。然而，《2018中国成人烟草调查报告》显示，我国电子烟的使用率已经上升到0.9%，使用电子烟的人数约为1035万，其中年轻人使用比例相对较高，15~24岁年龄组为1.5%，在所有年龄段中是最高的。</p><p>此外，我国《2019中国中学生烟草调查》显示，初中学生的电子烟使用率为2.7%，普通高中学生为2.2%，职业学校学生为4.5%。</p>","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE It's no surprise, then, that I like to invest in companies with EPS growth. Over the last three years, Methode Electronics has grown EPS by 9.7% per year. That growth rate is fairly good, assuming the company can keep it up.</p><p type=\"text\">Careful consideration of revenue growth and earnings before interest and taxation (EBIT) margins can help inform a view on the sustainability of the recent profit growth. While we note Methode Electronics's EBIT margins were flat over the last year, revenue grew by a solid 2.0% to US$1.0b. That's a real positive.</p><p type=\"text\">In the chart below, you can see how the company has grown earnings, and revenue, over time. So it is good to see that Methode Electronics insiders have a significant amount of capital invested in the stock. Indeed, they hold US$37m worth of its stock. That's a lot of money, and no small incentive to work hard. Even though that's only about 3.4% of the company, it's enough money to indicate alignment between the leaders of the business and ordinary shareholders.</p><p type=\"text\">It means a lot to see insiders invested in the business, but I find myself wondering if remuneration policies are shareholder friendly. A brief analysis of the CEO compensation suggests they are. For companies with market capitalizations between US$400m and US$1.6b, like Methode Electronics, the median CEO pay is around US$3.1m.</p><p type=\"text\">The Methode Electronics CEO received total compensation of just US$1.5m in the year to . That's clearly well below average, so at a glance, that arrangement seems generous to shareholders, and points to a modest remuneration culture. While the level of CEO compensation isn't a huge factor in my view of the company, modest remuneration is a positive, because it suggests that the board keeps shareholder interests in mind.
