Such technical weakness in leading names is troubling, but other sectors, such as banking, are faring better.
\n
Recent action in the Innovator IBD Breakout Opportunities ETF (BOUT) reflects those trends.Banking and oil and gas stocks currently dominate the BOUT ETF, which is rebalanced weekly.
\n
Tesla(TSLA) is one of the few tech and growth stocks currently on theIBD Breakout Stocks Index. Meanwhile,EOG Resources(EOG),Matador Resources, Whiting Petroleum(WLL) and Denbury(DEN) represent just a few of the oil and gas stocks on the index.
\n
On the financial front, KeyCorp(KEY), U.S. Bancorp(USB), Citizens Financial(CFG) and Truist Financial(TFC) join many fellow banking stocks on the list.
\n
Louisiana-Pacific(LPX), Atkore(ATKR) and Builders FirstSource represent the building sector, while Boyd Gaming andChurchill Downs make showings from the leisure sector.
\n
Stocks Showing Strength In Stock Market Correction
\n
Because the overall trend is against you, it's best to avoid make new buys during a stock market correction. But it's during downtrends that leading growth stocks and companies showing the telltale CAN SLIM traits set upchart patterns that could lead to freshbreakoutswhen the market rebounds.
\n
So now is a good time to build your watchlist and be on the lookout for a follow-through day to emerge and launch a new stock market rally. Following a simple three-step routine helps you do that. You'll spot any changes in the stock market trend withThe Big Picture and Market Pulse. You can find stocks to watch with IBD Stock Lists, and evaluate your potential stock picks with charts and ratings inStock Checkup.
\n
Among other financial plays, bank stocks building new chart patterns and nearing buy points include U.S. Bancorp, KeyCorp and Citizens Financial.
\n
Oil and natural gas stocks have also been drilling for new buy zones. Such technical weakness in leading names is troubling, but other sectors, such as banking, are faring better.\nRecent action in the Innovator IBD Breakout Opportunities ETF (BOUT) reflects those trends.Banking and oil and gas stocks currently dominate the BOUT ETF, which is rebalanced weekly.\nTesla(TSLA) is one of the few tech and growth stocks currently on theIBD Breakout Stocks Index. Meanwhile,EOG Resources(EOG),Matador Resources, Whiting Petroleum(WLL) and Denbury(DEN) represent just a few of the oil and gas stocks on the index.\nOn the financial front, KeyCorp(KEY), U.S. Bancorp(USB), Citizens Financial(CFG) and Truist Financial(TFC) join many fellow banking stocks on the list.\nLouisiana-Pacific(LPX), Atkore(ATKR) and Builders FirstSource represent the building sector, while Boyd Gaming andChurchill Downs make showings from the leisure sector.\nStocks Showing Strength In Stock Market Correction\nBecause the overall trend is against you, it's best to avoid make new buys during a stock market correction. But it's during downtrends that leading growth stocks and companies showing the telltale CAN SLIM traits set upchart patterns that could lead to freshbreakoutswhen the market rebounds.\nSo now is a good time to build your watchlist and be on the lookout for a follow-through day to emerge and launch a new stock market rally. Following a simple three-step routine helps you do that. You'll spot any changes in the stock market trend withThe Big Picture and Market Pulse. You can find stocks to watch with IBD Stock Lists, and evaluate your potential stock picks with charts and ratings inStock Checkup.\nAmong other financial plays, bank stocks building new chart patterns and nearing buy points include U.S. Bancorp, KeyCorp and Citizens Financial.\nOil and natural gas stocks have also been drilling for new buy zones. Matador stock is now slightly extended, while EOG stock and Denbury are setting up. Whiting Petroleum is in the top of its buy range after pulling back Tuesday.\nIn terms of leisure plays, Churchill Downs stock is extended as Boyd Gaming places its bets on a 71.10 buy point in acup-shape pattern. That is a milestone investors who are bullish on Tesla stock have been waiting for, but it isn’t the most important one.
\n
Beginning deliveries should help the stock—-a little.
\n
Tesla(ticker: TSLA) stock rose 4.1% amid a broad market rally Thursday, but the gain still left shares down for the week. Tesla stock was up another 0.8% in Friday trading, a touch better than the 0.7% gain in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The S&P 500 was up 0.5%.
\n

\n
The Plaid is billed by Tesla as the fastest production car ever, going zero to 60 in under 2 seconds. A Bugatti Chiron, which costs about $2.3 million and is equipped with a 16-cylinder, four-turbocharger engine, can go zero to 60 in about 2.3 seconds.
\n
Electric motors have better torque at zero revolutions a minute, giving drivers an incredible jolt from their initial acceleration.
\n
The Plaid edition of the Model S won’t cost anywhere near as much as a Chiron, but it will still run buyers $120,000 or more. Prices like that mean the car won’t sell in the high volumes seen from the Tesla Model 3 or Model Y. Those cars can be had for what a nicely equipped sedan from BMW (BMW.Germany) or evenToyota Motor (TM) or Honda (HMC) can cost.
\n
Still, the launch highlights Tesla’s ability to update its designs. The first Model S went into production almost a decade ago. Its performance shows Tesla is improving on its technologies for battery management and electric motors.
\n
All that is important for perceptions about Tesla, but there are bigger things on investors’ minds. Tesla is building new capacity in Austin, Texas, andBerlin. Investors want to see both plants on line by the end of the year, giving Tesla the output capacity needed to increase sales.
\n
Investors also want updates about the company’s autonomous driving programs. Musk has boasted the company is close to achieving fully autonomous cars with newer versions of its self-driving software. The new versions probably won’t mean drivers can actually leave the driver seat, but better driver-assistance functions are a competitive advantage for auto makers.
\n
The next version of the Tesla software is due to roll out in coming weeks.
\n
Capacity and autonomous driving have the potential to lift the stock in coming years. That is a milestone investors who are bullish on Tesla stock have been waiting for, but it isn’t the most important one.\nBeginning deliveries should help the stock—-a little.\nTesla(ticker: TSLA) stock rose 4.1% amid a broad market rally Thursday, but the gain still left shares down for the week. Tesla stock was up another 0.8% in Friday trading, a touch better than the 0.7% gain in the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The S&P 500 was up 0.5%.\n\nThe Plaid is billed by Tesla as the fastest production car ever, going zero to 60 in under 2 seconds. A Bugatti Chiron, which costs about $2.3 million and is equipped with a 16-cylinder, four-turbocharger engine, can go zero to 60 in about 2.3 seconds.\nElectric motors have better torque at zero revolutions a minute, giving drivers an incredible jolt from their initial acceleration.\nThe Plaid edition of the Model S won’t cost anywhere near as much as a Chiron, but it will still run buyers $120,000 or more. Prices like that mean the car won’t sell in the high volumes seen from the Tesla Model 3 or Model Y. Those cars can be had for what a nicely equipped sedan from BMW (BMW.Germany) or evenToyota Motor (TM) or Honda (HMC) can cost.\nStill, the launch highlights Tesla’s ability to update its designs. The first Model S went into production almost a decade ago. Its performance shows Tesla is improving on its technologies for battery management and electric motors.\nAll that is important for perceptions about Tesla, but there are bigger things on investors’ minds. Tesla is building new capacity in Austin, Texas, andBerlin. Investors want to see both plants on line by the end of the year, giving Tesla the output capacity needed to increase sales.\nInvestors also want updates about the company’s autonomous driving programs. Musk has boasted the company is close to achieving fully autonomous cars with newer versions of its self-driving software. The new versions probably won’t mean drivers can actually leave the driver seat, but better driver-assistance functions are a competitive advantage for auto makers.\nThe next version of the Tesla software is due to roll out in coming weeks.\nCapacity and autonomous driving have the potential to lift the stock in coming years. The Model S Plaid can help it in coming quarters.\nTesla stock is in need of a lift. Shares are down about 35% from their 52-week high of more than $900, reached in January.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":259,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":170608282,"gmtCreate":1626424108746,"gmtModify":1633926870065,"author":{"id":"3555039416426653","authorId":"3555039416426653","name":"ChallengerDT","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/fe2ad6b3ba29bf7cdfd0b40f90313a1b","crmLevel":6,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3555039416426653","authorIdStr":"3555039416426653"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"buy more Tesla!! The company sold more chips for personal computers, but investors seem focused on a dip in Intel’s ever-important data center revenue.Shares of Intel (ticker: INTC) dropped 2.2% in premarket trading. The stock, which closed at $62.57 Thursday, is up about 40% since late October.Intel reported first-quarter net income of $3.4 billion, or 82 cents a share, compared with net profit of $5.7 billion, or $1.31 a share, in the year-ago quarter. Revenue dipped 1% to $19.7 billion. Excluding the company’s flash memory business, and a legal judgment, among other things, Intel reported earnings of $1.39 a share. Non-GAAP revenue was flat at $18.6 billion.Analysts had expected adjusted earnings of $1.15 on revenue of $17.74 billion.“This is a pivotal year for Intel,” CEO Pat Gelsinger said. “We are setting our strategic foundation and investing to accelerate our trajectory and capitalize on the explosive growth in semiconductors that power our increasingly digital world.”On Thursday, Intel credited strong personal computer demand for the billion-dollar beat, and “initial recovery” of its enterprise and government sales that contribute to is data center segment. Revenue in its PC segment grew 8% to $10.6 billion, when Wall Street expected $10.02 billion.Nonetheless, the company’s data center revenue fell short of expectations, declining 20% to $5.6 billion. Wall Street had expected $5.84 billion.Weeks ago, at the same time the company announced its future manufacturing plans, Intel said that it would report results above its guidance but didn’t provide precise figures.Intel’s self-driving technology unit, Mobileye, was a bright spot. Revenue grew 48% to $377 million.A $2.18 billion judgment, stemming from a recent loss in a Texas patent fight, also weighed on first-quarter profit. Intel said it “strongly disagrees with the jury’s verdict in March and intends to appeal.”The company said it expected non-GAAP second quarter earnings of $1.05 a share, and revenue of $17.8 billion, excluding the company’s flash memory business. Intel sold the memory unit last year, but the deal hasn’t yet closed. Including flash revenue, Intel expects to report second-quarter revenue of $18.9 billion. The consensus for adjusted first-quarter earnings is $1.12 a share on sales of $17.64 billion.Intel raised its guidance for the year to non-GAAP earnings of $4.60 a share and revenue $72.5 billion, excluding its flash memory unit.Shares of Intel have gained 4.1% over the past 12 months. Total revenues are expected between $900 million and $905 million.

The Zacks Consensus Estimate for earnings stayed at 97 cents per share over the past 30 days. The company had reported earnings of 20 cents per share in the year-ago quarter.

The consensus mark for revenues is pegged at $905.2 million, suggesting 175.8% growth from the figure reported in the year-ago quarter.

Zoom Video Communications, Inc. Price and EPS Surprise

Zoom Video Communications, Inc. price-eps-surprise | Zoom Video Communications, Inc. Quote

Zoom’s earnings beat the Zacks Consensus Estimate in all of the past four quarters, the average surprise being 73.2%.

Let’s see how things have shaped up for this announcement.

Factors to Watch

Zoom’s fiscal first-quarter revenues are expected to have benefited from the coronavirus-induced work-from-home and online-learning wave despite the vaccination campaigns.

Notably, the company’s freemium business model helps it win customers rapidly, whom it can later convert into paying customers. Net dollar-expansion rate on a trailing twelve-month basis was more than 156% in fourth-quarter fiscal 2021.
