price.
\n
The dilution risk and the continuous selling pressure are likely going to prevent the appreciation of Palantir’s stock anytime soon.
\n
\n
<img (PLTR) has been underperforming the market in recent weeks and we believe that its stock still has more room to fall. Our analysis shows that Palantir is extremely overvalued at the current levels and several issues are likely going to prevent its stock from appreciating further anytime soon. For that reason, we continue to believe that it’s better to avoid Palantir at the current price, as its upside appears to be limited.
\n
There Are Several Red Flags, Which You Shouldn’t Ignore
\n
Palantir specializes in creating custom software solutions for collecting data for its clients, who are mostly government agencies and public companies. While some might think that Palantir is a young company with lots of potential, the reality is that it’s not a startup, as it has been in the business for almost two decades already, and since that time it has managed to add less than 200 customers. As a result, the company is exposed to a limited pool of organizations, who generate most of the revenues. This is mostly because Palantir doesn’t have a scalable business. The value of the company’s average contract ranges from $5 million to $6 million, which prevents small and medium businesses from using its services. While Palantir tries to tackle this issue by offering its Foundry platform for the commercial sector at attractive terms, it’s still too soon to tell whether it will improve its affordability to most of the third parties and have any major impact on its financials in the long run.
\n
In addition, while bulls might want to deny this, but Palantir operates like a consulting company. The company has a special position of a forward-deployed engineer, who analyzes different processes of potential clients and then explains how Palantir’s software could help them improve their operations. Considering this, it’s safe to say that Palantir doesn’t have a unique business model since its whole proposition is that it can analyze the available data better than others. However, nothing stops new entrants from entering the field and offering similar solutions, and nothing stops organizations' internal IT departments from developing better tools to analyze all of the processes at a more affordable price.
\n
Another downside of Palantir is that despite the increase in margins and gross profit in recent quarters, it never made a profit in its history after being so long in the business. Its operating loss has onlywidenedin recent years from -$600 million in 2018 to -$1.17 billion in 2020, to -$1.22 billion in the last twelve months. This is due to the excessive stock-based compensation program that results in increased expenses and massive dilution, which is something that a lot of bulls tend to ignore. Let’s not forget that the company’s expenses relating to the SBC program increased by around 257% year over year last quarter and were $193 million. At the same time, Palantir already has 1.8 billion shares outstanding, an increase from 1.52 billion shares, which were outstanding at the end of last year. The problem is that the excessive SBC program will continue to be a major issue for the company’s investors since there are still 477 million optionsoutstanding, which will dilute the current shareholders by more than 20% if fully exercised.
\n
For that reason, we continue to believe that Palantir’s stock will continue to be an unattractive investment and it’ll likely continue to underperform the market. It’s already down ~15% since our bearisharticlewas published a month ago and we believe that there’s more room for a depreciation.
\n
Chart: Seeking Alpha
\n
Another reason to be bearish about Palantir is due to the fact that there’s an extreme selling pressure, which is created by the company’s insiders and its CEO in particular, who are constantly dumping their shares on an open market. In July alone insiderssoldin total $63 million worth of Palantir shares, which is only $31 million slightly less than what they sold in Q1 when the lockup period expired. Considering this and the fact that they still have ~10% ownership stake in the company, it’s safe to assume they’ll continue to sell their shares and create an even greater selling pressure, which is likely going to prevent the stock from significantly appreciating from the current levels.
\n
Valuation
\n
We created a discounted cash flow model to find Palantir’s fair value. The weighted average cost of capital in our model is 6%, while the terminal growth rate is 3%.
\n
Source: Capital IQ, Own estimates
\n
After doing all the necessary calculations, our DCF model showed that Palantir’s fair value is $8.47 per share, which represents a downside of over 60% from the current market price.
\n
Source: Own estimates
\n
For relative valuation, we compared Palantir to eight other companies from the tech industry and the SaaS niche in particular. By looking at the numbers below, we could safely say that Palantir is extremely overvalued to others, especially since its EBITDA margin of -72.8% is the worst among its peers, and at a market cap of ~$40 billion, its stock is overpriced.
\n
Source: Capital IQ
\n
By consolidating the DCF model and the relative valuation method and giving the former 75% weight in the final analysis, while giving the latter 25$ weight in the final analysis, we concluded that Palantir’s final fair value is $8.22 per share, which is significantly below its current market price of ~$22 per share.
\n
Source: Own estimates
\n
Takeaway
\n
Despite its advanced data software solutions, Palantir continues to be an unattractive investment in our opinion and its stock is unlikely to move significantly higher anytime soon. The company doesn’t have a unique proposition at an affordable price on the market and there’s every reason to believe that its expenses will continue to increase in the following years due to the higher inflation and increased competition, while its bottom line will continue to suffer. As a result, despite signing new multi-million contracts from time to time, it’s still hard to justify its ~$40 billion market cap. Considering this, we strongly believe that Palantir is not a value investment at this stage, and not a growth play as well since the dilution risk and the continuous selling pressure are likely going to prevent the appreciation of its stock anytime soon.
\n
While we don’t expect the stock to depreciate to its fair value of $8.22 per share in the foreseeable future, a decent decline from the current market price is more than possible, especially since the company already trades at 28 times its revenues and is considered to be overvalued. For that reason, we stick to our opinion that Palantir’s upside appears to be limited and its future growth is already priced in.
","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Palantir: Prepare To Be Disappointed
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nPalantir: Prepare To Be Disappointed\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-27 15:23 GMT+8 seekingalpha\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Summary\n\nWe continue to believe that Palantir’s upside appears to be limited and its future growth is already priced in.\nOur analysis shows that Palantir’s fair value is $8.22 per share, which ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n","type":0,"thumbnail":"","relate_stocks":{},"source_url":"https://seekingalpha.com/article/4441334-palantir-prepare-to-be-disappointed","is_english":true,"share_image_url":"https://static.laohu8.com/e9f99090a1c2ed51c021029395664489","article_id":"1139478455","content_text":"Summary\n\nWe continue to believe that Palantir’s upside appears to be limited and its future growth is already priced in.\nOur analysis shows that Palantir’s fair value is $8.22 per share, which represents a downside of over 60% from the current market price.\nThe dilution risk and the continuous selling pressure are likely going to prevent the appreciation of Palantir’s stock anytime soon.\n\nKevin Dietsch/Getty Images News\nPalantir (PLTR) has been underperforming the market in recent weeks and we believe that its stock still has more room to fall. By looking at the numbers below, we could safely say that Palantir is extremely overvalued to others, especially since its EBITDA margin of -72.8% is the worst among its peers, and at a market cap of ~$40 billion, its stock is overpriced.\nSource: Capital IQ\nBy consolidating the DCF model and the relative valuation method and giving the former 75% weight in the final analysis, while giving the latter 25$ weight in the final analysis, we concluded that Palantir’s final fair value is $8.22 per share, which is significantly below its current market price of ~$22 per share.\nSource: Own estimates\nTakeaway\nDespite its advanced data software solutions, Palantir continues to be an unattractive investment in our opinion and its stock is unlikely to move significantly higher anytime soon. Considering this, we strongly believe that Palantir is not a value investment at this stage, and not a growth play as well since the dilution risk and the continuous selling pressure are likely going to prevent the appreciation of its stock anytime soon.\nWhile we don’t expect the stock to depreciate to its fair value of $8.22 per share in the foreseeable future, a decent decline from the current market price is more than possible, especially since the company already trades at 28 times its revenues and is considered to be overvalued. For that reason, we stick to our opinion that Palantir’s upside appears to be limited and its future growth is already priced in.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1308,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":176871892,"gmtCreate":1626877777816,"gmtModify":1633770164107,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[你懂的] ","listText":"[你懂的] ","text":"[你懂的]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/176871892","repostId":"1182009211","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1182009211","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1626876025,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1182009211?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-21 22:00","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Cryptocurrency-related stocks soar in morning trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1182009211","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"(July 21) Cryptocurrency-related stocks soar in morning trading. \nOn day after sliding below $30,000","content":"
(July 21) Cryptocurrency-related stocks soar in morning trading.
\n
On day after sliding below $30,000, a key support level which many said has to hold, it did just that with bitcoin storming higher and back over $31,000.
\n

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; The decline has come as the reopening of bars and restaurants has accelerated across the United States.\nGuggenheim analyst Laurent Grandet reiterated his buy rating on the stock and named it one of his best ideas, saying in a note to clients on Monday that soft numbers for retail alcohol sales were hiding the growth of Boston Beer’s Truly brand.\n“While the growth of the hard seltzer category in retail tracked channels appears optically softer, our analysis shows it’s primarily a function of the more challenging year-ago comparison that we believe should begin to abate in June, and a stronger than expected reopening of the on-premise channel that is driving a channel shift,” the note said.\nEven if the overall seltzer category is pulling back, Truly is still on track for dramatic growth, according to Guggenheim.\n“Truly has been pivoting successfully to ‘bolder’ flavors since the launch of Lemonade last year, and we estimate that for every 10 points of category deceleration, Truly can meet our 85% retail growth target by gaining roughly 2 points of share – which has been the case so far,” the note said.\nGuggenheim kept its $1,800 per share price target on the stock, which is more I mean, you can't get a better leader than they have.\"\nIn the same \"Trading Nation\" interview, Matt Maley, chief market strategist at Miller Tabak, noted that Tesla's stock has been relatively flat for the past several months, trading around its 200-day moving average.\n\n\"You don't see that very often,\" he said. \"Whichever way it breaks away from that 200-day moving average will give us a little bit of a hint [about] its next move.\"\nThe stock is also forming a descending triangle pattern, Maley said, saying the upper end of the pattern is around $650 and the lower end sits at $563. Those are the two levels to watch, and where shares move relative to those levels will be very indicative of where Tesla is headed, he said.\n\"In the past, when the stock has been stuck in this sideways range, once it breaks out, it starts to move in a big way. This should be no different,\" he said.\nTesla's deliveries report in the first week of July could be a breakout catalyst, Maley said.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":362,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":169576268,"gmtCreate":1623845604154,"gmtModify":1634027216107,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$🥲","listText":"$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$🥲","text":"$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$🥲","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/aa6fda8f94f8040aca4ded1b0c2c1151","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/169576268","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":309,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":187185594,"gmtCreate":1623746860618,"gmtModify":1631884627271,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Salesforce.com(CRM)$[鬼脸] ","listText":"$Salesforce.com(CRM)$[鬼脸] ","text":"$Salesforce.com(CRM)$[鬼脸]","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/57ab52149d39142bf1e42e2814e229a6","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/187185594","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":393,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":187186901,"gmtCreate":1623746771103,"gmtModify":1634029210707,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[惊讶] ","listText":"[惊讶] ","text":"[惊讶]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/187186901","repostId":"1122638224","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":293,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":167590627,"gmtCreate":1624275105169,"gmtModify":1631888035904,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Adobe(ADBE)$[愤怒] ","listText":"$Adobe(ADBE)$[愤怒] ","text":"$Adobe(ADBE)$[愤怒]","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3bdaa600a4488e9753c1eca72b15bbfb","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/167590627","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1520,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":170247955,"gmtCreate":1626439361277,"gmtModify":1633926758293,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[得意] ","listText":"[得意] ","text":"[得意]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/170247955","repostId":"2151150436","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2151150436","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1626437238,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/2151150436?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-16 20:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Investors are not pumped for Mark Wahlberg-backed fitness chain","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2151150436","media":"Yahoo Finance","summary":"F45 Training (FXLV), the fitness franchise backed by actor Mark Wahlberg, got a workout in its Wall ","content":"
F45 Training (FXLV), the fitness franchise backed by actor Mark Wahlberg, got a workout in its Wall Street debut on July 15. Shares of the Austin, Texas-based company rose as much as 11%, then briefly fell below the offer price of $16 a share, before closing up 1.3% to $16.20.
\n
In an interview with Yahoo Finance Live, Founder and CEO Adam Gilchrist compared F45’s IPO to that of another franchise fitness chain, Planet Fitness (PLNT).
\n
“We wanted to obviously be in a position to replicate the success of Planet Fitness where they were able to provide a lot of credibility and visibility to investors to come into their network.”
\n
Like F45, Planet Fitness also priced its shares at $16 apiece back in August of 2015. The stock also underwhelmed investors at the time, closing at the issue price in the company’s New York Stock Exchange debut. Nearly six years later, shares of Planet Fitness currently trade at more than 300% above their IPO price.
\n
F45, whose name is a combination of “functional training” and the 45-minute duration of its classes, offers workout programs both in studios and directly to members at home. It was founded in 2013 in Australia, and now has 1,555 studios and 2,801 franchises across 63 countries.
\n
Gilchrist said more than 90% of its studios have since reopened after being shut down because of the pandemic, and attendance at those studios is outstripping pre-Covid levels.
\n
Mark Wahlberg (L) and F45 Founder and CEO Adam Gilchrist pose on the trading floor as F45 Training rings the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on July 15, 2021 in New York City. The IPO gave F45 a market value of $1.46 billion, handing Wahlberg a return of at least 200% on his money.
\n
In addition to being an investor in F45, Gilchrist called Wahlberg “an incredible partner” who is also a franchisee and board member.
\n
“Mark wrote a check for more than $5 million to buy into the company, which is a sign of confidence,” he said. “I think today was probably one of his major milestones outside, you know, of his acting career, which has been absolutely stellar. Shares of the Austin, Texas-based company rose as much as 11%, then briefly fell below the offer price of $16 a share, before closing up 1.3% to $16.20.\nIn an interview with Yahoo Finance Live, Founder and CEO Adam Gilchrist compared F45’s IPO to that of another franchise fitness chain, Planet Fitness (PLNT).\n“We wanted to obviously be in a position to replicate the success of Planet Fitness where they were able to provide a lot of credibility and visibility to investors to come into their network.”\nLike F45, Planet Fitness also priced its shares at $16 apiece back in August of 2015. The stock also underwhelmed investors at the time, closing at the issue price in the company’s New York Stock Exchange debut. Nearly six years later, shares of Planet Fitness currently trade at more than 300% above their IPO price.\nF45, whose name is a combination of “functional training” and the 45-minute duration of its classes, offers workout programs both in studios and directly to members at home. It was founded in 2013 in Australia, and now has 1,555 studios and 2,801 franchises across 63 countries.\nGilchrist said more than 90% of its studios have since reopened after being shut down because of the pandemic, and attendance at those studios is outstripping pre-Covid levels.\nMark Wahlberg (L) and F45 Founder and CEO Adam Gilchrist pose on the trading floor as F45 Training rings the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange on July 15, 2021 in New York City. (Photo by Noam Galai/Getty Images for F45 Training)Noam Galai via Getty Images\nWahlberg, self-professed fitness fanatic, bought a stake in F45 in 2019 through the investment vehicle MWIG, when the company was valued at roughly $450 million. The IPO gave F45 a market value of $1.46 billion, handing Wahlberg a return of at least 200% on his money.\nIn addition to being an investor in F45, Gilchrist called Wahlberg “an incredible partner” who is also a franchisee and board member.\n“Mark wrote a check for more than $5 million to buy into the company, which is a sign of confidence,” he said. “I think today was probably one of his major milestones outside, you know, of his acting career, which has been absolutely stellar. And the two of us have always dreamed of being here, so it’s been a thrilling day and a thrilling moment to ring the opening bell [at the NYSE].”\nFor the first three months of 2021, F45 had a net loss of $37 million on revenue of $18 million, compared with a loss of $733,000 on $25 million revenue during the same period last year, according to its filings.\nDelayed by the pandemic uncertainty\nF45’s IPO had two false starts. The coronavirus pandemic delayed initial plans to go public in early 2020 and then in June of last year, it struck a deal to go public by merging with the special acquisition company, Crescent Acquisition Corp. That agreement, which would have valued the combined company at $845 million including debt, fell apart in October.\nMark Wahlberg hosts the opening of F45 Training at Miramar MCAs, the first fitness franchise on a US military base on June 11, 2021 in San Diego, California. deal from happening.\nThe company intends to use the $280 million in proceeds from the stock sale to pay down debt, pay cash bonuses to certain employees, and pay the $25 million purchase price for F45’s acquisition of the Flywheel indoor cycling studio.\nGilchrist called the buyout of Flywheel a “great acquisition” because the cycling chain “spent over $65 million on technology,” something Gilchrist said would have taken F45 at least three years and about $40 million to build on its own.\nGilchrist said he hopes to make acquisitions “outside the boutique fitness space with services and products that really complement F45, like protein or supplements.”","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1234,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":168250192,"gmtCreate":1623976947516,"gmtModify":1634024953865,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Awesome","listText":"Awesome","text":"Awesome","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/168250192","repostId":"2144286417","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":283,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":185722061,"gmtCreate":1623674694153,"gmtModify":1634030274759,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice","listText":"Nice","text":"Nice","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/185722061","repostId":"1146430910","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":286,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":176871892,"gmtCreate":1626877777816,"gmtModify":1633770164107,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[你懂的] should buy the dip inBoston Beeras jumpy data from the economic reopening appears to be overshadowing a strong underlying growth story, according to investment firm Guggenheim.\nThe beverage stock has struggled mightily over the past two months, falling more than 25% since April 20th. The decline has come as the reopening of bars and restaurants has accelerated across the United States.\nGuggenheim analyst Laurent Grandet reiterated his buy rating on the stock and named it one of his best ideas, saying in a note to clients on Monday that soft numbers for retail alcohol sales were hiding the growth of Boston Beer’s Truly brand.\n“While the growth of the hard seltzer category in retail tracked channels appears optically softer, our analysis shows it’s primarily a function of the more challenging year-ago comparison that we believe should begin to abate in June, and a stronger than expected reopening of the on-premise channel that is driving a channel shift,” the note said.\nEven if the overall seltzer category is pulling back, Truly is still on track for dramatic growth, according to Guggenheim.\n“Truly has been pivoting successfully to ‘bolder’ flavors since the launch of Lemonade last year, and we estimate that for every 10 points of category deceleration, Truly can meet our 85% retail growth target by gaining roughly 2 points of share – which has been the case so far,” the note said.\nGuggenheim kept its $1,800 per share price target on the stock, which is more than 85% above where the stock closed on Friday.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1244,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":165431879,"gmtCreate":1624154553791,"gmtModify":1634010214228,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a limited and its future growth is already priced in.
\n
Our analysis shows that Palantir’s fair value is $8.22 per share, which represents a downside of over 60% from the current market price.
\n
The dilution risk and the continuous selling pressure are likely going to prevent the appreciation of Palantir’s stock anytime soon.
\n
\n
Kevin Dietsch/Getty Images News
\n
Palantir (PLTR) has been underperforming the market in recent weeks and we believe that its stock still has more room to fall.
Our analysis shows that Palantir is extremely overvalued at the current levels and several issues are likely going to prevent its stock from appreciating further anytime soon. For that reason, we continue to believe that it’s better to avoid Palantir at the current price, as its upside appears to be limited.\nThere Are Several Red Flags, Which You Shouldn’t Ignore\nPalantir specializes in creating custom software solutions for collecting data for its clients, who are mostly government agencies and public companies. While Palantir tries to tackle this issue by offering its Foundry platform for the commercial sector at attractive terms, it’s still too soon to tell whether it will improve its affordability to most of the third parties and have any major impact on its financials in the long run.\nIn addition, while bulls might want to deny this, but Palantir operates like a consulting company. However, nothing stops new entrants from entering the field and offering similar solutions, and nothing stops organizations' internal IT departments from developing better tools to analyze all of the processes at a more affordable price.\nAnother downside of Palantir is that despite the increase in margins and gross profit in recent quarters, it never made a profit in its history after being so long in the business. The problem is that the excessive SBC program will continue to be a major issue for the company’s investors since there are still 477 million optionsoutstanding, which will dilute the current shareholders by more than 20% if fully exercised.\nFor that reason, we continue to believe that Palantir’s stock will continue to be an unattractive investment and it’ll likely continue to underperform the market. It’s already down ~15% since our bearisharticlewas published a month ago and we believe that there’s more room for a depreciation.\nChart: Seeking Alpha\nAnother reason to be bearish about Palantir is due to the fact that there’s an extreme selling pressure, which is created by the company’s insiders and its CEO in particular, who are constantly dumping their shares on an open market. In July alone insiderssoldin total $63 million worth of Palantir shares, which is only $31 million slightly less than what they sold in Q1 when the lockup period expired. Considering this and the fact that they still have ~10% ownership stake in the company, it’s safe to assume they’ll continue to sell their shares and create an even greater selling pressure, which is likely going to prevent the stock from significantly appreciating from the current levels.\nValuation\nWe created a discounted cash flow model to find Palantir’s fair value. The weighted average cost of capital in our model is 6%, while the terminal growth rate is 3%.\nSource: Capital IQ, Own estimates\nAfter doing all the necessary calculations, our DCF model showed that Palantir’s fair value is $8.47 per share, which represents a downside of over 60% from the current market price.\nSource: Own estimates\nFor relative valuation, we compared Palantir to eight other companies from the tech industry and the SaaS niche in particular. For that reason, we stick to our opinion that Palantir’s upside appears to be limited and its future growth is already priced in.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1308,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":129273264,"gmtCreate":1624375609258,"gmtModify":1634007029504,"author":{"id":"3567827268544698","authorId":"3567827268544698","name":"HOONGINN","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":3,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3567827268544698","authorIdStr":"3567827268544698"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"[呆住] ","listText":"[呆住] ","text":"[呆住]","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/129273264","repostId":"1180651681","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1180651681","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624374662,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1180651681?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-22 23:11","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Someone At The Fed Needs To Speak Up To Avoid Committing A Major Policy Error","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1180651681","media":"zerohedge","summary":"Someone At The Fed Needs To Speak Up To Save Itself From Committing A Major Policy Blunder\nMonetary ","content":"
Someone At The Fed Needs To Speak Up To Save Itself From Committing A Major Policy Blunder
\n
Monetary policy in 2021 is actively promoting the fast cyclical growth bounce and even welcoming the uptick in inflation.
