2022?","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1128727196","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"These electric vehicle stocks are on sale, but that doesn't mean all are buys.","content":"
Key Points
\n
\n
Lucid and Rivian are unproven but have a lot of potential.
\n
Nio is down big from its high but just gave investors a jolt on Nio Day.
\n
Tesla has a high valuation but is in its best shape ever.
\n
\n
December has so far been a wild month as the major indices routinely make big moves each day. While some stocks are hovering around their all-time highs, many growth stocks are actually down a lot for the year, and some are close to their 52-week lows.
\n
Lucid Group(NASDAQ:LCID),Rivian Automotive(NASDAQ:RIVN),Nio(NYSE:NIO), and Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA) are four high-profile electric vehicle (EV) stocks that are all down 25% or more from their highs. Here's the lowdown on each, as well as the best one to buy now.
\n
\n
Lucid has some serious upside
\n
Share prices of Lucid Group are down 38% from their high as the up-and-coming electric sedan company faces what should be a challenging 2022. Lucid delivered on its promises in 2021 by expanding its manufacturing facility, going public and raising cash, entering mass production, and starting customer deliveries. Yet recent events, most notably a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) request for documents that was issued on Dec. 3 and a controversial senior note offering, have taken a toll on Lucid stock of late.
\n
Despite the bad press, there's reason to believe Lucid could be a great stock to own over the long term. The timing of the senior note offering was fantastic for Lucid, which valued its stock at $54.78 per share (a 37% premium to its share price at the time of this writing). It also gives the company the cash needed to accelerate production, expand manufacturing capacity, and meet a customer demand that currently sits at over 17,000 reservations. Given its incredible battery technology, Lucid could become a staple in the luxury sedan market over time.
\n
Rivian isn't worth $86 billion...yet
\n
Rivian has seen its stock sink as the honeymoon period after its initial public offering (IPO) draws to a close. In fact, Rivian's share price fell over 10% on Dec. 17 after the company reported its Q3 2021 earnings, which was its first report as a public company. Lower-than-expected customer deliveries, wider-than-expected losses, and the harsh reality that it's going to take a lot of money to grow its manufacturing and charging network to the size Rivian hopes added up to an overall disappointing quarter. However, Rivian's reservation numbers are growing at a breakneck pace -- quite a bit faster than Lucid's, in fact. However, until Rivian is able to set goals and then meet or exceed them, it's hard to trust the company's trajectory, let alone value Rivian at $86 billion.
\n
Down but not out
\n
No stock on this list is further off its high than Chinese automaker Nio, which got gut-punched with a 55% drawdown and is now hovering right around its 52-week low.
\n
LCID DATA BY YCHARTS
\n
It wasn't long ago that Nio was getting the same buzz Lucid and Rivian have received the last few months. But lately, it's found itself outside the limelight, or briefly in it for negative reasons.
\n
Nio has been mass-producing electric cars for a few years now and is becoming an established player in the space.Inconsistent production numbers, and an uncertain growth plan in Europe are all headwinds facing Nio right now. What's more, the SEC is tightening its grip on foreign companies like Nio.
\n
However, Nio held its highly anticipated Nio Day on Dec. 18, unveiling its new ET5 midsize sedan and making various announcements. Nio is showing no shortage of innovation and could be a great long-term winner.
\n
Firing on all electric motors
\n
Tesla is down \"just\" 25% from its high as investors grapple with valuation concerns for many growth stocks. Tesla isn't the same unprofitable and streaky company it once was, but it is priced to perfection at a 22.5 price-to-sales (P/S) ratio and a 301.8 price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio.
\n
Despite the sky-high valuation, there's a lot to like about Tesla the company. While some stocks are hovering around their all-time highs, many growth stocks are actually down a lot for the year, and some are close to their 52-week lows.\nLucid Group(NASDAQ:LCID),Rivian Automotive(NASDAQ:RIVN),Nio(NYSE:NIO), and Tesla(NASDAQ:TSLA) are four high-profile electric vehicle (EV) stocks that are all down 25% or more from their highs. Here's the lowdown on each, as well as the best one to buy now.\nIMAGE SOURCE: NIO.\nLucid has some serious upside\nShare prices of Lucid Group are down 38% from their high as the up-and-coming electric sedan company faces what should be a challenging 2022. Lucid delivered on its promises in 2021 by expanding its manufacturing facility, going public and raising cash, entering mass production, and starting customer deliveries. Yet recent events, most notably a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) request for documents that was issued on Dec. 3 and a controversial senior note offering, have taken a toll on Lucid stock of late.\nDespite the bad press, there's reason to believe Lucid could be a great stock to own over the long term. Given its incredible battery technology, Lucid could become a staple in the luxury sedan market over time.\nRivian isn't worth $86 billion...yet\nRivian has seen its stock sink as the honeymoon period after its initial public offering (IPO) draws to a close. However, until Rivian is able to set goals and then meet or exceed them, it's hard to trust the company's trajectory, let alone value Rivian at $86 billion.\nDown but not out\nNo stock on this list is further off its high than Chinese automaker Nio, which got gut-punched with a 55% drawdown and is now hovering right around its 52-week low.\nLCID DATA BY YCHARTS\nIt wasn't long ago that Nio was getting the same buzz Lucid and Rivian have received the last few months. But lately, it's found itself outside the limelight, or briefly in it for negative reasons.\nNio has been mass-producing electric cars for a few years now and is becoming an established player in the space.Inconsistent production numbers, and an uncertain growth plan in Europe are all headwinds facing Nio right now. What's more, the SEC is tightening its grip on foreign companies like Nio.\nHowever, Nio held its highly anticipated Nio Day on Dec. 18, unveiling its new ET5 midsize sedan and making various announcements. Nio is showing no shortage of innovation and could be a great long-term winner.\nFiring on all electric motors\nTesla is down \"just\" 25% from its high as investors grapple with valuation concerns for many growth stocks. Tesla isn't the same unprofitable and streaky company it once was, but it is priced to perfection at a 22.5 price-to-sales (P/S) ratio and a 301.8 price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio.\nDespite the sky-high valuation, there's a lot to like about Tesla the company. Its industry-leading operating margin, impressive growth, diverse business, and market-leading position in the growing EV industry are reasons to like the company for years to come.\nAn EV basket for 2022\nTwo ways to approach the sell-off in top-tier EV stocks are the basket strategy and the wait-and-see strategy. Investing in, say, a 50/50 split of Lucid and Tesla, or even an equal split of all four companies on this list, gives exposure to multiple aspects of the market while limiting the damage any single company can inflict on your portfolio.\nHowever, there's a good chance that we are years away from consistent profitability from Lucid, Rivian, or Nio. For many investors, simply waiting for the EV space to mature and then picking a winner may leave some money on the table, but it could be a safer and still rewarding bet.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"LCID":0.9,"NIO":0.9,"RIVN":0.9,"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1805,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":698567923,"gmtCreate":1640470565858,"gmtModify":1640470567144,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Really","listText":"Really","text":"Really","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/698567923","repostId":"1120042434","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1120042434","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1640312274,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1120042434?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-24 10:17","market":"us","language":"en","title":"NIO Stock Predictions: Why This Analyst Calls Nio an ‘Attractive Buy’ for 2022","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1120042434","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Nio stock is in the news Thursday thanks to a recent prediction for how the electric vehicle company will perform in 2022.Deutsche Bank analyst Edison Yu is behind that news today. He called out the current price of NIO stock as a “great entry point setting up for a pivotal 2022,” despite the stock underperforming these last few months.\nHere’s a portion of Yu’s prediction for NIO stock today, as collected by Seeking Alpha.\n\n “Investor sentiment has been lackluster due to lack of new vehicles and supply chain constraints, and most recently, the heightened US delisting risk. We believe these headwinds can all reverse in the coming 12 months with NIO launching 3 new models over the next 12 months and boosting manufacturing capacity from 120k to 600k.”\n\nHow do Yu’s fellow analysts feel about NIO stock? Many of them seem to have a similar stance. Currently, the consensus rating for the company is a buy. That comes from 12 buy ratings and three hold ratings. The consensus price target is also sitting at $65.90 with a high of $87 and a low of $45. That consensus price represents a 122.33% upside for the shares.\nWhile positive, today’s news isn’t translating to abnormal trading for NIO stock. As of this writing, some 14 million shares of the stock have changed hands. That still has a ways to go before it reaches the company’s daily average trading volume of about 42.9 million shares.\nNIO stock is up 2.24% today but is down 44% since the start of the year.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"NIO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3719,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":698669255,"gmtCreate":1640384642989,"gmtModify":1640384644341,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/698669255","repostId":"2193127176","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2108,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":698333586,"gmtCreate":1640302665880,"gmtModify":1640302671312,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/698333586","repostId":"1109764882","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1109764882","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing The company expects gross margin for the quarter of 46%, give or take a percentage point, down from 47% in the latest quarter.\nThe company also said it bought back $259 million of its shares in the latest quarter.\n“Micron delivered solid fiscal first quarter results led by strong product portfolio momentum,” Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra said in a statement. “We are now shipping our industry-leading DRAM and NAND technologies across major end markets, and we delivered new solutions to data center, client, mobile, graphics and automotive customers.”\nIn a presentation prepared for a call with investors scheduled for late Monday with investors, Micron said it expects “record revenue with solid profitability” for the August 2022 fiscal year, with stronger shipment growth in the second half. The company expects capital spending for the year in the $11 billion to $12 billion range, up from $9.7 billion in fiscal 2021.\nMicron expects demand for DRAM storage capacity, or bit demand, will grow in the low 20% range in 2021, with mid-to-high teens growth in 2022. For NAND, the company sees growth in the high 30% range for this year, and about 30% for next year.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"MU":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3588,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":693049203,"gmtCreate":1639953402445,"gmtModify":1639953403761,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/693049203","repostId":"1154435289","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1154435289","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Stock Market Quotes, Business News, Financial News, Trading Ideas, and Stock Research by Professionals","home_visible":0,"media_name":"Benzinga","id":"1052270027","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/d08bf7808052c0ca9deb4e944cae32aa"},"pubTimestamp":1639733312,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1154435289?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-17 17:28","market":"us","language":"en","title":"5 Stocks To Watch For December 17, 2021","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1154435289","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:\n\nWall Street expects Darden Restaurants, ","content":"
Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are:
\n
\n
Wall Street expects Darden Restaurants, Inc. to report quarterly earnings at $1.44 per share on revenue of $2.23 billion before the opening bell. As of 4 p.m. ET, shares of Adva","content":"
What happened
\n
It's Thursday, and semiconductor stocks are in a funk. As of 4 p.m. ET, shares of Advanced Micro Devices(NASDAQ:AMD)have already lost 5.37%, Qualcomm(NASDAQ:QCOM)is down 5.88%, and Skyworks Solutions(NASDAQ:SWKS)is taking it particularly hard on the chin -- down 8.47%.
\n
I blame Apple for all of the above.
\n
So what
\n
Investors in chips stocks today have only a choice between bad short-term news and potentially worse long-term news, I fear. In the short term, the bad news is this:
\n
iPhone 13 smartphones are in short supply this holiday season, according to a report from an analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets, relayed byThe Fly. Indeed, demand for the devices has outstripped supply since Thanksgiving. And despite reports that things had been getting better earlier this month as the delta COVID-19 pandemic switched over into an omicron COVID-19 pandemic, KeyBanc analyst John Vinh now observes that \"the majority of stores\" he has surveyed report not having any iPhone 13 Pro or Max phones in stock.
\n
Granted, he concludes that this news is ultimately only neutral for companies including AMD, Qualcomm, and Skyworks that supply chips for Apple devices -- but neutral isn't good. While suppliers can presumably charge Apple premium prices in a time of constrained chip supply, fewer iPhone sales still logically implies fewer chips being sold to build those Apple products.
\n
Now what
\n
At the same time, you have to figure that, at some point, Apple is going to get upset at its inability to obtain all the chips it wants. As of 4 p.m. ET, shares of Advanced Micro Devices(NASDAQ:AMD)have already lost 5.37%, Qualcomm(NASDAQ:QCOM)is down 5.88%, and Skyworks Solutions(NASDAQ:SWKS)is taking it particularly hard on the chin -- down 8.47%.\nI blame Apple for all of the above.\nSo what\nInvestors in chips stocks today have only a choice between bad short-term news and potentially worse long-term news, I fear. In the short term, the bad news is this:\niPhone 13 smartphones are in short supply this holiday season, according to a report from an analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets, relayed byThe Fly. Indeed, demand for the devices has outstripped supply since Thanksgiving. And despite reports that things had been getting better earlier this month as the delta COVID-19 pandemic switched over into an omicron COVID-19 pandemic, KeyBanc analyst John Vinh now observes that \"the majority of stores\" he has surveyed report not having any iPhone 13 Pro or Max phones in stock.\nGranted, he concludes that this news is ultimately only neutral for companies including AMD, Qualcomm, and Skyworks that supply chips for Apple devices -- but neutral isn't good. While suppliers can presumably charge Apple premium prices in a time of constrained chip supply, fewer iPhone sales still logically implies fewer chips being sold to build those Apple products.\nNow what\nAt the same time, you have to figure that, at some point, Apple is going to get upset at its inability to obtain all the chips it wants. This, combined with the company's already-confirmed belief that it can design better chips itself than it can buy from third-party chipmakers, creates a longer-term risk of semiconductor companies losing Apple (and eventually, companies other than Apple) as dependable customers.\nIn that regard, we note that Bloomberg is reporting today that Apple has begun hiring engineers skilled in building wireless communication chips, with the aim of \"eventually\" replacing suppliers Broadcom and Skyworks with wireless chips Apple designs in-house.\nNow, you might not think that bad news for Skyworks would necessarily affect companies like AMD and Qualcomm -- and today, Skyworksisin fact faring worse than the others. One reason: A decision by Apple to design its own wireless chips appears to be part of the same story that saw Apple oust Intel as its favored chip supplier last year.\nMore and more frequently, it appears that Apple -- and eventually other companies -- may be deciding that it's better to design their chips in-house than buy off the shelf. Long term, that's a threat to all dedicated semiconductor companies.\nAnd it's why pretty much everyone associated with the chip industry is going down.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMD":0.9,"QCOM":0.9,"SWKS":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":933,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":690098212,"gmtCreate":1639611831826,"gmtModify":1639611833077,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"K","listText":"K","text":"K","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":3,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/690098212","repostId":"2191924169","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1330,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":607856295,"gmtCreate":1639527510935,"gmtModify":1639527512155,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Ok","listText":"Ok","text":"Ok","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/607856295","repostId":"1175111161","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1175111161","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1639524053,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1175111161?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-15 07:20","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway outruns Cathie Wood's Ark Innovation","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1175111161","media":"seekingalpha","summary":"In what could be called a tortoise (value) vs. hare (growth) matchup, the tortoise appears to be win","content":"
In what could be called a tortoise (value) vs. hare (growth) matchup, the tortoise appears to be winning this year. I ask as a follow up tomy column earlier this monthin which I concluded that even under optimistic assumptions, the S&P 500SPX,+0.51%over the next 10 years is unlikely to produce an annualized total real return greater than the low single-digits.
\n
My argument was that the stock market will not be able to count on the three pillars that have propped it up over the past decade — increasing valuations, profit margins and more buybacks than new shares issued (net buybacks).
\n
Some readers responded that I had overlooked an escape hatch which would enable the market to produce decent returns: corporate revenues can grow faster than the overall U.S. economy. To the extent this is so, then the stock market does not need any of those three pillars to do well.
\n
This escape hatch appears to have solid evidence behind it. Consider a recent note to clients from Jonathan Golub, chief U.S. equity strategist and head of quantitative research at Credit Suisse. He reported that, according to an econometric model he constructed based on S&P 500 sales and GDP since 2000, “every 1% upside in nominal GDP drives 2½–3% improvement in revenues.”
\n
If so, this certainly would be good for stock investors. It would mean that even without increasing valuations, profit margins or net buybacks, the stock market could significantly outperform the overall economy.
\n
Unfortunately, this argument is too good to be true. I analyzed S&P 500 sales back to the early 1970s (courtesy of data from Ned Davis Research), and found almost a 1:1 correlation between sales growth and GDP growth.
\n
This is entirely what we should expect, according to Robert Arnott, chairman and founder of Research Affiliates. In an email, he said that “aggregate sales should offer a pretty clean 1:1 relationship to GDP. Any other ratio makes no sense on a sustained basis.”
\n
How then did Golub come up with such a different answer? My hunch is that it traces to how he measured sales. In an email, Golub’s colleague Manish Bangard, an equity strategist at Credit Suisse, explained that they focused on sales per share. But, as Arnott points out, this per-share number reflects the impact of net buybacks. So the high sales-to-GDP ratio that Golub reports is not a pure measure of how sales growth relates to GDP. (I did not receive a response to my requests for additional comment.)
\n
Investment implication
\n
The implication is that we should not expect the U.S. stock market over the next decade to grow faster than the economy. I ask as a follow up tomy column earlier this monthin which I concluded that even under optimistic assumptions, the S&P 500SPX,+0.51%over the next 10 years is unlikely to produce an annualized total real return greater than the low single-digits.\nMy argument was that the stock market will not be able to count on the three pillars that have propped it up over the past decade — increasing valuations, profit margins and more buybacks than new shares issued (net buybacks).\nSome readers responded that I had overlooked an escape hatch which would enable the market to produce decent returns: corporate revenues can grow faster than the overall U.S. economy. To the extent this is so, then the stock market does not need any of those three pillars to do well.\nThis escape hatch appears to have solid evidence behind it. Consider a recent note to clients from Jonathan Golub, chief U.S. equity strategist and head of quantitative research at Credit Suisse. He reported that, according to an econometric model he constructed based on S&P 500 sales and GDP since 2000, “every 1% upside in nominal GDP drives 2½–3% improvement in revenues.”\nIf so, this certainly would be good for stock investors. It would mean that even without increasing valuations, profit margins or net buybacks, the stock market could significantly outperform the overall economy.\nUnfortunately, this argument is too good to be true. I analyzed S&P 500 sales back to the early 1970s (courtesy of data from Ned Davis Research), and found almost a 1:1 correlation between sales growth and GDP growth.\nThis is entirely what we should expect, according to Robert Arnott, chairman and founder of Research Affiliates. In an email, he said that “aggregate sales should offer a pretty clean 1:1 relationship to GDP. Any other ratio makes no sense on a sustained basis.”\nHow then did Golub come up with such a different answer? My hunch is that it traces to how he measured sales. In an email, Golub’s colleague Manish Bangard, an equity strategist at Credit Suisse, explained that they focused on sales per share. But, as Arnott points out, this per-share number reflects the impact of net buybacks. So the high sales-to-GDP ratio that Golub reports is not a pure measure of how sales growth relates to GDP. (I did not receive a response to my requests for additional comment.)\nInvestment implication\nThe implication is that we should not expect the U.S. stock market over the next decade to grow faster than the economy. It may in fact grow much more slowly if P/E ratios or profit margins regress even partway to their historical mean, or if net buybacks turn out to be negative (as they’ve been for most of U.S. history).\nBut even if P/E ratios and profit margins stay constant between now and 2031 and there are no net buybacks, the lesson of history is that the U.S. market will grow no faster than the economy.\nConsider what that means. TheCongressional Budget Office is projectingthat real GDP from 2022 through 2031 will grow at a 1.8% annualized rate. Even that may be optimistic, because the CBO projects no recession between now and then.\nThe bottom line: The stock market has its work cut out to produce even a fraction of the past decade’s fabulous return.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":394,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":120430293,"gmtCreate":1624331074012,"gmtModify":1634007660514,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like and comment pls","listText":"Like and comment pls","text":"Like and comment pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/120430293","repostId":"1167650307","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":401,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":113364927,"gmtCreate":1622594904569,"gmtModify":1634100147253,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like and comment pls","listText":"Like and comment pls","text":"Like and comment pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":5,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/113364927","repostId":"1106176005","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1106176005","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1622588821,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1106176005?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-02 07:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"S&P 500 dips, as healthcare weighs; Dow ends higher","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1106176005","media":"Reuters","summary":"The S&P 500dipped on Tuesday, with declines in healthcare and tech shares countered by energy and financial gains, as investors weighed the latest U.S. economic data for signs of a rebound and rising inflation. The S&P 500 financial sectorhit a record high, while expected growth in fuel demand boosted oil prices and helped lift the energy sector3.9%, its biggest $one$-day gain in nearly four months. The day's corporate results kicked off third-quarter earnings for S&P 500 companies.\n\"My hope is that as we work our way through earnings season, that the forward-looking guidance will be good enough that we'll close the year higher. But right now the market is in a show-me phase,\" said Jim Awad, senior managing director at Clearstead Advisors LLC in New York.\nMega-caps growth names including Amazon.com Inc, Google-parent Alphabet and Microsoft Corp all rose.\nThe Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.53 points to 34,377.81, the S&P 500 gained 13.15 points, or 0.30%, to 4,363.8 and the Nasdaq Composite added 105.71 points, or 0.73%, to 14,571.64.\nBlackRock Inc gained 3.8% after the world's largest money manager beat quarterly profit estimates as an improving economy helped boost its assets under management, driving up fee income.\nAlso in earnings, Delta Air Lines fell 5.8% after the company reported its first quarterly profit without federal aid since the coronavirus pandemic, but warned of a pre-tax loss for the fourth quarter due to a sharp rise in fuel prices.\nAnalysts expect corporate America to report strong profit growth in the third quarter but investor worries have been mounting over how supply chain problems, labour shortages and higher energy prices might affect businesses emerging from the pandemic.\nBank of America, Citigroup, Wells Fargo and Morgan Stanley will report results on Thursday, while Goldman Sachs is due to report on Friday.\nAmong other movers, Apple Inc dipped 0.4% after a report said the iPhone marker was planning to cut production of its iPhone 13.0 trading days.\nAdvancing issues outnumbered declining ones on the NYSE by a 1.73-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.39-to-1 ratio favored advancers.\nThe S&P 500 posted 8 new 52-week highs and 9 new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 47 new highs and 56 new lows.\nVolume on U.S. exchanges was 9.31 billion shares, compared with the 10.8 billion average for the full session over the last 20 trading days.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"161125":0.9,"513500":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"ESmain":0.9,"NQmain":0.9,"IVV":0.9,"JPM":0.9,"OEF":0.9,"OEX":0.9,"SDS":0.9,"SH":0.9,"SPXU":0.9,"SPY":0.9,"SSO":0.9,"UPRO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":455,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":834010578,"gmtCreate":1629761843094,"gmtModify":1631893610697,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"K","listText":"K","text":"K","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/834010578","repostId":"2161777891","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":249,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":143887291,"gmtCreate":1625787917913,"gmtModify":1633937403782,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like pls","listText":"Like pls","text":"Like pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/143887291","repostId":"1195657546","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":452,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":125690588,"gmtCreate":1624670283244,"gmtModify":1633949854709,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Pls like and comment","listText":"Pls like and comment","text":"Pls like and comment","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":7,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/125690588","repostId":"2146073358","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":328,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":133176980,"gmtCreate":1621731891340,"gmtModify":1634186962623,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like and comment pls! It’s an indication of speculation. You can be successful if you get in at the right moment but it’s very difficult to play successfully over time.”\n“I don’t think you should read too much regarding the broader market.”\nGameStop named Matt Furlong as its new CEO ahead of its earnings report, which showed a quarterly loss of $1.01 per share. Its shares fell over 4% in after-hours trading.\nU.S. President Joe Biden changed course in ongoing negotiations to reach a bipartisan agreement on infrastructure spending after one-on-one talks with Senator Shelley Capito broke down.\nIndustrial stocks, which stand to benefit from an infrastructure deal, slid by 1%.\nWashington lawmakers passed a sweeping bill designed to boost the United States’ ability to compete against Chinese technology, providing funds for research and semiconductor production amid an ongoing chip supply drought. The bill now heads to the House of Representatives.\nEven so, the Philadelphia SE Semiconductor index slipped 0.4%.\nThe Labor Department’s consumer price index report due out Thursday will provide another take on inflation amid the recovery’s demand/supply imbalance as investors determine whether inflationary pressures, as the Fed asserts, will be transitory.\nThe Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 152.68 points, or 0.44%, to 34,447.14; the S&P 500 lost 7.71 points, or 0.18%, at 4,219.55; and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 13.16 points, or 0.09%, to 13,911.75.\nAmong the 11 major sectors in the S&P 500, healthcare gained the most.\nBenchmark Treasury yields dropped below 1.5% for the first time since May, weighing on interest-sensitive financials.\nCampbell Soup Co missed quarterly profit expectations and slashed its full-year earnings forecast, sending its shares down 6.5%.\nDrugmaker Merck & Co rose 2.3% on the heels of its announcement the U.S. government had agreed to buy about 1.7 million courses of the company’s experimental COVID-19 treatment, molnupiravir, for about $1.2 billion, if the drug meets regulatory approval.\nDeclining issues outnumbered advancers on the NYSE by a 1.12-to-1 ratio; on Nasdaq, a 1.13-to-1 ratio favored decliners.\nThe S&P 500 posted 38 new 52-week highs and two new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 126 new highs and 14 new lows.\nVolume on U.S. exchanges was 11.53 billion shares, compared with the 10.74 billion average over the last 20 trading days.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"AEMD":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":350,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":112749072,"gmtCreate":1622936757896,"gmtModify":1634096877758,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like and comment pls","listText":"Like and comment pls","text":"Like and comment pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/112749072","repostId":"1119588401","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":275,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":194296462,"gmtCreate":1621381451256,"gmtModify":1634192057278,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Sad","listText":"Sad","text":"Sad","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":6,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/194296462","repostId":"2136999458","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":377,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":824598493,"gmtCreate":1634335484280,"gmtModify":1634335485852,"author":{"id":"3574897713454581","authorId":"3574897713454581","name":"JCai","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/a4408059854d4abfa5d3e8513d447a16","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3574897713454581","authorIdStr":"3574897713454581"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Good","listText":"Good","text":"Good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/824598493","repostId":"1180900172","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1180900172","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1634309275,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1180900172?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-10-15 22:47","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Amazon stock rose 1.5% in morning trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1180900172","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Amazon stock rose 1.5% in morning trading after challenging record $865 million EU data-protection f","content":"
Amazon stock rose 1.5% in morning trading after challenging record $865 million EU data-protection fine.
\n

\n
Amazon.com Inc. appealed a record 746 million-euro ($865 million) penalty for allegedly violating the European Union’s tough data-protection rules.
\n
The appeal was filed at the Luxembourg Administrative Tribunal on Friday, according to Luxembourg court spokesman Henri Eippers.
\n
The challenge comes after CNPD, Luxembourg’s data protection regulator, where Amazon has its EU base, slapped the U.S. tech giant with the fine in July.
\n
The regulator ruled that Amazon violated the bloc’s General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, through its processing of users’ personal data.
