Goldman continues to like levered risk reversals as a way to take advantage of this dynamic: Sell a 17-Sep 3800-strike put (12.1% OTM) to fund 2x 4550-strike (5.2% OTM) calls for zero net premium. The trade would be subject to dollar-for-dollar losses shouldthe SPX close below the downside strike at expiration.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1116,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":178100091,"gmtCreate":1626790038613,"gmtModify":1631891531219,"author":{"id":"3577185043030916","authorId":"3577185043030916","name":"Rontjk","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577185043030916","authorIdStr":"3577185043030916"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"How come?","listText":"How come?","text":"How come?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/178100091","repostId":"1182166123","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1182166123","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1626789320,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1182166123?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-20 21:55","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Virgin Galactic fell over 7% in morning trading","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1182166123","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"(July 20) Virgin Galactic fell over 7% in morning trading. Tesla will be able to update the software for impacted customers remotely, so they will not have to return their cars, the report said. The regulator did not immediately answer a question fromBarron’son whether the issue had already led to collisions in China.\nChina is a key market for Tesla, which sells about 30% of its vehicles there. Sales in China have been spotty lately, with a decline in April followed by more promising May numbers. Tesla has been making vehicles at a Shanghai plant since 2019.\nLately, there have been complaints from some Chinese customers about Tesla’s quality and service, with a protest at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. Tesla apologized to customers in April for how it dealt with customer complaints.\nThe issues are part of a larger public relations problem that may be weighing on Tesla stock, which is down 5% this year after rising eight-fold in 2020. That said, the stock was on an upswing over the past week, perhaps related to optimism about end-of-quarter vehicle deliveries. Tesla has not announced the date of its second-quarter earnings report yet.\nIt’s not clear if the issue in China could also impact vehicles in the U.S. Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Saturday morning.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":352,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":167240341,"gmtCreate":1624273339583,"gmtModify":1634008601769,"author":{"id":"3577185043030916","authorId":"3577185043030916","name":"Rontjk","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577185043030916","authorIdStr":"3577185043030916"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Yes","listText":"Yes","text":"Yes","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/167240341","repostId":"2145081082","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":320,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":167257364,"gmtCreate":1624273308858,"gmtModify":1634008602815,"author":{"id":"3577185043030916","authorId":"3577185043030916","name":"Rontjk","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577185043030916","authorIdStr":"3577185043030916"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$AMC Entertainment(AMC)$let’s go! They've retired the phrase 'thinking about thinking about tapering', and we expect that in the next few meetings, the committee will likely formally start discussions of tapering,\" BNP's Ahn said.\nThe Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 265.66 points, or 0.77%, to 34,033.67, the S&P 500 lost 22.89 points, or 0.54%, to 4,223.7 and the Nasdaq Composite dropped 33.17 points, or 0.24%, to 14,039.68.\nOnly two of the S&P's 11 main sector indexes ended in positive territory: consumer discretionary and retail.\nThe decliners were led by utilities, materials, and consumer staples.\nVolume on U.S. exchanges was 10.90 billion shares, compared with the 10.38 billion average over the last 20 trading days.\nThe S&P 500 posted 25 new 52-week highs and 1 new lows; the Nasdaq Composite recorded 95 new highs and 30 new lows.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"161125":0.9,"513500":0.9,".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"DDM":0.9,"DJX":0.9,"DOG":0.9,"DXD":0.9,"ESmain":0.9,"MNQmain":0.9,"NQmain":0.9,"IVV":0.9,"OEF":0.9,"OEX":0.9,"PSQ":0.9,"QID":0.9,"QLD":0.9,"QQQ":0.9,"SDOW":0.9,"SDS":0.9,"SH":0.9,"SPXU":0.9,"SQQQ":0.9,"SSO":0.9,"TQQQ":0.9,"UDOW":0.9,"UPRO":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":307,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":163656588,"gmtCreate":1623884295844,"gmtModify":1634026615013,"author":{"id":"3577185043030916","authorId":"3577185043030916","name":"Rontjk","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577185043030916","authorIdStr":"3577185043030916"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$AMC Entertainment(AMC)$Buy and hodl! Investing in AMC Entertainment","content":"
Gamestop (GME) made some investors rich… and then it broke many more. Investing in AMC Entertainment (AMC) did the exact same thing. These two stocks represent, if not failing businesses, at least ailing ones; companies that struggled to keep up with the new economy even before the pandemic shut down large swaths of it. Yet over the past few months they have posted some of the most volatile gains and losses on the market.
\n
How?
\n
It’s down to what Real Money's Timothy Collins calls the market of “meme stock hyperbole.” But, he writes, is it really all that different from how trading has always worked?
\n
Have you ever really thought about the phrases 'to the moon' or 'conviction buy,' and how they mess with out perception of fair value?
\n
\"Initially, I rolled my eyes at the continued use of the phrase 'To The Moon,'\" Collins says. \"It's not like 'Strong Buy with a price target of $65', for instance. 'To the moon' is completely arbitrary and open to interpretation, but then again so are most things about valuation, when you think about it,\" Collins wrote.
\n
\"For instance, when an analyst pounds the table on a stock, how is that different from 'to the moon?' Or when someone says, 'all in.' Are they really all in? Did they cash in all their assets, pool the liquidity, and buy every share they possibly could? Probably not. Actually, I'd say definitely not 99.9999% of the time. Of course, there's always that one person,\" Collins said.
\n
\"But the point isWall Street has been arbitraryfor years. We can't even have a standard rating system. Is it 'Neutral' or 'Hold?' And really, do I want to hold something that is only in the middle of your range? No.\"
\n
Collins writes, \"The system should be 'buy' or 'sell.' That's it. Black or white. Investing in AMC Entertainment (AMC) did the exact same thing. These two stocks represent, if not failing businesses, at least ailing ones; companies that struggled to keep up with the new economy even before the pandemic shut down large swaths of it. Yet over the past few months they have posted some of the most volatile gains and losses on the market.\nHow?\nIt’s down to what Real Money's Timothy Collins calls the market of “meme stock hyperbole.” But, he writes, is it really all that different from how trading has always worked?\nHave you ever really thought about the phrases 'to the moon' or 'conviction buy,' and how they mess with out perception of fair value?\n\"Initially, I rolled my eyes at the continued use of the phrase 'To The Moon,'\" Collins says. \"It's not like 'Strong Buy with a price target of $65', for instance. 'To the moon' is completely arbitrary and open to interpretation, but then again so are most things about valuation, when you think about it,\" Collins wrote.\n\"For instance, when an analyst pounds the table on a stock, how is that different from 'to the moon?' Or when someone says, 'all in.' Are they really all in? Did they cash in all their assets, pool the liquidity, and buy every share they possibly could? Probably not. Actually, I'd say definitely not 99.9999% of the time. Of course, there's always that one person,\" Collins said.\n\"But the point isWall Street has been arbitraryfor years. We can't even have a standard rating system. Is it 'Neutral' or 'Hold?' And really, do I want to hold something that is only in the middle of your range? No.\"\nCollins writes, \"The system should be 'buy' or 'sell.' That's it. Black or white. Own or don't own.\"\nAssets like GameStop and even cryptocurrency seem to be selling on nothing more than pure emotion. Investors are taking these products for a joy ride, and that tends to send prices flying up and down the ladder.\nThat’s confusing, to be sure.
