He increased the firm’s price target for the shares from $1,298 to $1,580. Ferragu’s price target is incredibly bullish compared to his peers. The consensus price target for TLSA is sitting at$798.24.\nOf course, today’s news isn’t just that the New Street analyst is expecting major gains from Telsa, it’s also how quickly he expects them. Ferragu is estimating that TSLA stock will be trading at his price prediction by the end of the year.\nIt’s also worth pointing out that the new price target has Ferragu keeping a buy rating for TSLA. For comparison, the analyst consensus rating is hold. That comes from 14 buys, 10, holds, and 10 sells.\nSo why is this analyst taking such a bullish stance on TSLA stock? First off, the New Street analyst thinks that Tesla will surpass delivery estimates of 266,000 units in Q4. This has him predicting between 280,000 and 285,000 deliveries during the period.\nAnother reason for the bull position from Ferragu is high expectations for the company’s Shanghai plant. The analyst believes that this plan as an annual turnout of over 700,000 vehicles. That’s much higher than the initial 450,000 unit target.\nTSLA stock rose 1.64% on Wednesday.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3283,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":847776703,"gmtCreate":1636556382844,"gmtModify":1636556783472,"author":{"id":"3577785816786397","authorId":"3577785816786397","name":"KKSV","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af79ae4e2c2eee7b0446d54673c5439e","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577785816786397","authorIdStr":"3577785816786397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$NIO Inc.(NIO)$EV stocks is bouncing back","listText":"$NIO Inc.(NIO)$EV stocks is bouncing back","text":"$NIO Inc.(NIO)$EV stocks is bouncing back","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/066ee3277e2cb1f852c492c398132d8b","width":"1125","height":"2785"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/847776703","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3181,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":844591819,"gmtCreate":1636437173755,"gmtModify":1636437208087,"author":{"id":"3577785816786397","authorId":"3577785816786397","name":"KKSV","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af79ae4e2c2eee7b0446d54673c5439e","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3577785816786397","authorIdStr":"3577785816786397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"$Rivian Automotive, Inc.(RIVN)$ New EV maker stock which backed by Amazon and Ford, could this Electric SUV truck maker rival Tesla 🤔🤔🤔Rivian expected to have an IPO soon in middle November 2021. The EV startup has applied to trade under the symbol RIVN on the Nasdaq.
\n
The company plans to offer 135 million shares at $72-74 a share, up from prior plans of $57-$62. The automaker is expected to raise more than $9.8 billion when it sells 135 million shares.
\n
By comparison, EV leaderTesla(TSLA) now has a $1.19 trillion valuation, with the stock price exploding over the last several weeks.
\n
Among other U.S. automakers vying for EV market share,General Motors(GM) has a market valuation of $86.42 billion, andFord(F) $79.8 billion as of Nov. 8.
\n
Lucid Motors(LCID), which came public earlier this year via a SPAC merger, has a market cap of around $74 billion.
\n
Rivian EV Pickup
\n
TheAmazon(AMZN)- and Ford-backed Rivian's R1T beatTeslaand General Motors to the punch, as the EV market for electric trucks heats up. Rivian says limited R1T pickup deliveries began in September, with its R1S SUV due out by year-end.
\n
The R1T electric pickup starts at around $67,500, before the $7,500 federal tax credit. The seven-seat R1S SUV goes for about $70,000. The preorder launch editions of the two vehicles sold out at the end of 2020.
\n
Rivian Electric Delivery Van
\n
But Rivian is said to be prioritizing production of electric vans for Amazon. Amazon has ordered 100,000 of Rivian's electric vans. And while Rivian's R1T pickup has grabbed headlines recently, Amazon's vans are more likely to be revenue drivers in the near term. That's why Rivian is reportedly focused on producing hundreds of vans for Amazon this year, while pickup production is nominal.
\n
Amazon revealed in afilingon Oct. 28 that it had a roughly 20% stake in Rivian.
\n
However, Rivian recentlyupdated its websiteto say it will begin taking orders for its electric delivery vans in 2022 and will deliver them to fleet customers in early 2023, even though it has an exclusive deal to supply Amazon with electric vans for at least four years.
\n
Rivian said in anSEC filingthat Amazon would have exclusive rights to the delivery van for four years after the initial delivery date. After that period, Amazon would have the right of first refusal for two years over other customers that wanted to buy Rivian vans.
\n
Rivian IPO
\n
Rivian has raised $11.15 billion in private capital so far, according to PitchBook. In addition to Amazon's stake, Ford has about a 14% interest in Rivian, although it recently exited from its board of directors.
\n
Among the top funds, T. Rowe Price has a 19% stake. Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe controls about 11% of shareholder voting power.
\n
The Rivian IPO is well-timed as the company is one of the few EV startups that is actually producing and delivering vehicles.
\n
LCID stock has nearly doubled in the past few weeks as deliveries of the Lucid Air luxury sedan began.
\n
The Rivian IPO will be sure to get lots of attention. But investors should be cautious about being among the first to buy RIVN stock. With new issues, investors should wait for initial price discovery and see how things shake out over several days or weeks. Look to see if Rivian stock can form anIPO base.
\n
Production Ramp-Up
\n
Rivian expects to deliver 20,000 vehicles in 2021. The EV startup has applied to trade under the symbol RIVN on the Nasdaq.\nThe company plans to offer 135 million shares at $72-74 a share, up from prior plans of $57-$62. The automaker is expected to raise more than $9.8 billion when it sells 135 million shares.\nBy comparison, EV leaderTesla(TSLA) now has a $1.19 trillion valuation, with the stock price exploding over the last several weeks.\nAmong other U.S. automakers vying for EV market share,General Motors(GM) has a market valuation of $86.42 billion, andFord(F) $79.8 billion as of Nov. 8.\nLucid Motors(LCID), which came public earlier this year via a SPAC merger, has a market cap of around $74 billion.\nRivian EV Pickup\nTheAmazon(AMZN)- and Ford-backed Rivian's R1T beatTeslaand General Motors to the punch, as the EV market for electric trucks heats up. Rivian says limited R1T pickup deliveries began in September, with its R1S SUV due out by year-end.\nThe R1T electric pickup starts at around $67,500, before the $7,500 federal tax credit. The seven-seat R1S SUV goes for about $70,000. The preorder launch editions of the two vehicles sold out at the end of 2020.\nRivian Electric Delivery Van\nBut Rivian is said to be prioritizing production of electric vans for Amazon. Amazon has ordered 100,000 of Rivian's electric vans. And while Rivian's R1T pickup has grabbed headlines recently, Amazon's vans are more likely to be revenue drivers in the near term. That's why Rivian is reportedly focused on producing hundreds of vans for Amazon this year, while pickup production is nominal.\nAmazon revealed in afilingon Oct. 28 that it had a roughly 20% stake in Rivian.\nHowever, Rivian recentlyupdated its websiteto say it will begin taking orders for its electric delivery vans in 2022 and will deliver them to fleet customers in early 2023, even though it has an exclusive deal to supply Amazon with electric vans for at least four years.\nRivian said in anSEC filingthat Amazon would have exclusive rights to the delivery van for four years after the initial delivery date. After that period, Amazon would have the right of first refusal for two years over other customers that wanted to buy Rivian vans.\nRivian IPO\nRivian has raised $11.15 billion in private capital so far, according to PitchBook. In addition to Amazon's stake, Ford has about a 14% interest in Rivian, although it recently exited from its board of directors.\nAmong the top funds, T. Rowe Price has a 19% stake. Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe controls about 11% of shareholder voting power.\nThe Rivian IPO is well-timed as the company is one of the few EV startups that is actually producing and delivering vehicles.\nLCID stock has nearly doubled in the past few weeks as deliveries of the Lucid Air luxury sedan began.\nThe Rivian IPO will be sure to get lots of attention. But investors should be cautious about being among the first to buy RIVN stock. With new issues, investors should wait for initial price discovery and see how things shake out over several days or weeks. Look to see if Rivian stock can form anIPO base.\nProduction Ramp-Up\nRivian expects to deliver 20,000 vehicles in 2021. It projects doubling that figure for 2022.\nIn its S-1 filing, Rivian said it had 48,390 preorders for its R1T pickup and R1S SUV in North America as of Sept. 30. Preorders require a $1,000 refundable deposit.\nThe Rivian R1T is the first electric pickup to market, but others are not far behind.\n\"Several traditional automakers and EV new entrants have announced plans to launch EV pickups in the 2021 through 2024 time frame,\" Goldman Sachs told clients in April.\nGM plans to begin deliveries of its high-end EV Hummer later this year. General Motors will follow up with a Silverado EV as well as a GMC electric pickup for 2023. Ford's first electric pickup, the F-150 Lightning, is coming in spring 2022. It has a targeted range of 300 miles vs. the Rivian's truck's 314-mile range per charge.\nRivian IPO: Financials\nRivian has yet to post a profit, as it is in the early stages of car production. Until the company scales output, losses are to be expected.\nIt had net losses of $426 million and $1 billion for 2019 and 2020, respectively. Rivian reported a loss of nearly $1 billion for the first half of the year.\nOn Oct. 22, it released preliminary results for Q3, which ended Sept. 30. It expects to post a record quarterly net loss of up to $1.28 billion. The operating loss for the quarter is expected to be $725 million to $775 million.\n\"The negative gross profit relates primarily to significant labor and overhead costs for our manufacturing facility in Normal, Ill., reflecting our factory's large-scale capabilities,\" the company said in anSEC filing. \"(H)owever, as we just started to ramp vehicle production at the site, the facility produced limited quantities of vehicles in the period.\"\nAuto, EV Stocks\nTesla stock fell 5% in Monday's trading, but was near session highs. Consensus estimates call for Tesla's second-quarter EPS to come in at 96 cents.
\n
Barclay's Take On Tesla
\n
Despite a bearish stance on shares of Tesla, analyst Brian Johnson is expecting an earnings beat, raising EPS estimates for the quarter from 92 cents to $1.08.
\n
The company is highly overvalued, though from conversations with investors, specifically bearish hedge fund managers, it seems many people are beginning to accept Tesla's lofty trading multiples, said Johnson.
\n
Earnings and delivery reports will likely be critical drivers of movement in the company's share price, said the analyst.
\n
Recent pricing increases are likely to outweigh cost pressures, helping to fuel profit improvement and an earnings beat, he said.
\n
The delay in the German plant opening could lead to increases in Chinese production and deliveries, as Tesla will likely ship European Model Ys from its China plant, Johnson said.
\n
With Bitcoin closing around $34,000 likely above Tesla's purchase price range of $32,000-$33,000, the company will probably not have to record an impairment, said the Barclays analyst.
\n
The analyst has raised his second-half earnings and revenue estimates, though they still sit below the consensus.
\n
Longer-term, the bank is still Underweight on Tesla, sticking with a $230 price target.
\n
Credit Suisse's Take On Tesla
\n
Credit Suisse analyst Dan Levy is also expecting an earnings beat, projecting second-quarter EPS at $1.34, according to the Thursday note. The analyst highlighted three themes for Tesla's upcoming earnings report.
\n
First, the development of Tesla's Berlin and Texas plants should materially grow the company's installed capacity, said the analyst. The European plant is crucial for Tesla, as its success will set up Tesla's future in the economic region, he said.
\n
Tesla should end 2021 with a unit capacity of 1.44 million units versus its current capacity of 1.05 million, Levy said.
\n
Second, gross margins should reach 25% (excluding credits) due to the company's price increases and lower than anticipated raw material cost inflation, the analyst said.
\n
Third, expected positive news on Tesla's full self-driving feature should lift the stock, he said.
\n
Longer-term, Credit Suisse remains Neutral on Tesla with an $800 price target.
\n
Wedbush Take's On Tesla
\n
Analyst Daniel Ives is expecting EPS of 99 cents. But this one comes from Hayes Martin, president of investment advisory firmMarket Extremes. I was introduced to Martin’s work several years ago and since then I’ve found his predictions of market turning points to be impressive. (For the record: Martin does not have an investment newsletter; my newsletter-tracking firm does not audit his investment performance.)
\n
I devoted two columns to Martin’s forecasts over the past year, and both proved prescient. In May 2020, I concluded that “the stock market… is stronger than even the most bullish investors believe.” In January of this year, I wrote that the market was still “firing on all cylinders.”
\n
In an interview on July 14, Martin said the U.S. stock market today is most definitely not firing on all cylinders. In fact, he said, the market’s internal health is now worse than at any time since October 2018. That was the beginning of a 20% decline in the S&P 500SPX,-0.33%and a 26% decline in the small-cap Russell 2000 IndexRUT,-0.55%.(Martin anticipated that decline as well; seemy Oct. 4, 2018, column.)
\n
Martin hastened to add that the market’s internal health is not as bad today as it was in 2018. This time around, he is forecasting a decline of 10% or more for the leading U.S. stock indexes. As for timing, he says that the decline could begin at any time, but he anticipates that it will begin no later than mid-August.
\n
The source of the market’s ill-health
\n
Martin bases his sobering forecast on the increasing divergences within the U.S. market, as indicated by fewer and fewer stocks participating in the headline-grabbing strength of the leading indices. One indicator of these divergences is the growing number of stocks hitting new lows, for example. On Wednesday of this week, for example, even as the Nasdaq 100NDX,-0.71%and the S&P 100OEX,-0.37%indexes were hitting new highs, many sectors were registering a plurality of new lows.
\n
This was particularly evident in the small- and mid-cap sectors, as represented by the Russell 2000 index. On July 13 there were more new lows than new highs within that index for the second consecutive day. In Martin’s data for the Russell 2000’s new highs and new lows, which extends back to June 2000, what happened this week has happened only three other times — in September 2014, July 2015 and October 2018. In all three cases, three months later both the S&P 500 and Russell 2000 were at least 10% lower.
\n
Martin reports that the only area of the market not showing dangerous divergences right now is the large-cap dominated S&P 500. Except for that sector, he says that the “stock market’s current internals are some of the worst I’ve seen in decades.”
\n
Martin added that these severe divergences are occurring as equities are severely overvalued — with some stocks in bubble territory. This means that, when the market does decline, it’s likely to fall more than it would otherwise.
\n
Adding fuel to the fire, he continued, is the too-bullish investor sentiment that prevails right now. But this one comes from Hayes Martin, president of investment advisory firmMarket Extremes. I was introduced to Martin’s work several years ago and since then I’ve found his predictions of market turning points to be impressive. (For the record: Martin does not have an investment newsletter; my newsletter-tracking firm does not audit his investment performance.)\nI devoted two columns to Martin’s forecasts over the past year, and both proved prescient. In May 2020, I concluded that “the stock market… is stronger than even the most bullish investors believe.” In January of this year, I wrote that the market was still “firing on all cylinders.”\nIn an interview on July 14, Martin said the U.S. stock market today is most definitely not firing on all cylinders. 4, 2018, column.)\nMartin hastened to add that the market’s internal health is not as bad today as it was in 2018. This time around, he is forecasting a decline of 10% or more for the leading U.S. stock indexes. As for timing, he says that the decline could begin at any time, but he anticipates that it will begin no later than mid-August.\nThe source of the market’s ill-health\nMartin bases his sobering forecast on the increasing divergences within the U.S. market, as indicated by fewer and fewer stocks participating in the headline-grabbing strength of the leading indices. One indicator of these divergences is the growing number of stocks hitting new lows, for example. On Wednesday of this week, for example, even as the Nasdaq 100NDX,-0.71%and the S&P 100OEX,-0.37%indexes were hitting new highs, many sectors were registering a plurality of new lows.\nThis was particularly evident in the small- and mid-cap sectors, as represented by the Russell 2000 index. On July 13 there were more new lows than new highs within that index for the second consecutive day. In Martin’s data for the Russell 2000’s new highs and new lows, which extends back to June 2000, what happened this week has happened only three other times — in September 2014, July 2015 and October 2018. In all three cases, three months later both the S&P 500 and Russell 2000 were at least 10% lower.\nMartin reports that the only area of the market not showing dangerous divergences right now is the large-cap dominated S&P 500. Except for that sector, he says that the “stock market’s current internals are some of the worst I’ve seen in decades.”\nMartin added that these severe divergences are occurring as equities are severely overvalued — with some stocks in bubble territory. This means that, when the market does decline, it’s likely to fall more than it would otherwise.\nAdding fuel to the fire, he continued, is the too-bullish investor sentiment that prevails right now. As contrarians remind us, such sentiment extremes mean that the path of least resistance for the market is down.\nTo be sure, Martin concluded, stocks have been overvalued for some time now, and bullish sentiment has been at or close to extremes. The missing piece was market divergences. That piece is now in place.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9,"SPY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":789,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":854341999,"gmtCreate":1635423632943,"gmtModify":1635423737209,"author":{"id":"3577785816786397","authorId":"3577785816786397","name":"KKSV","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af79ae4e2c2eee7b0446d54673c5439e","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3577785816786397","idStr":"3577785816786397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a BLOOMBERG NEWS
\n
Apple Inc.’s whopping fiscal third quarter was overshadowed by the company’s forecast for slowing growth Tuesday, putting a damper on its record results and sending shares south.
\n
Apple reported its strongest June quarter ever on Tuesday, with a near doubling of its profits and a whopping iPhone beat— iPhone revenue surpassed Wall Street’s expectations by a stunning $5 billion. That’s much higher than the initial 450,000 unit target.\nTSLA stock rose 1.64% on Wednesday.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TSLA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":3283,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":172568336,"gmtCreate":1626966881225,"gmtModify":1631891073959,"author":{"id":"3577785816786397","authorId":"3577785816786397","name":"KKSV","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/af79ae4e2c2eee7b0446d54673c5439e","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3577785816786397","idStr":"3577785816786397"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Microsoft stock is a good buy 👍","listText":"Microsoft stock is a good buy 👍","text":"Microsoft stock is a good buy 👍","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/172568336","repostId":"1100978830","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1100978830","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1626961977,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1100978830?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-22 21:52","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Microsoft rose over 1%, reaching record high","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1100978830","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"(July 22) Microsoft rose over 1%, reaching record high.","content":"
(July 22) Microsoft rose over 1%, reaching record high.
\n

\n

","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html;
