He revealed a $4.1 billion stake in Chevron and a $8.6 billion position in Verizon, answering the question of which mystery stocks he had been buying in recent months.\nBerkshire also trimmed the largest position in its portfolio,Apple, by 6%. Moreover, it halved its Wells Fargo holdings and exited JPMorgan,PNC, and M&T after slashing its positions in those banks in 2020.\nThe shareholder letter\nWarren Buffett\nBuffett published his annual letter to shareholders in February. The investor admitted to overpaying when he acquired Precision Castparts in 2016, trumpeted a bunch of Berkshire's subsidiaries, and contrasted his long-term shareholders with the speculators flocking to trendy assets such as meme stocks and cryptocurrencies.\nThe annual meeting\nBerkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett talks to reporters while holding an ice cream at a trade show during the company's annual meeting in Omaha, Nebraska May 3, 2014.\nBuffett warned rookie traders not to get cocky, bemoaned the lack of bargains in the market, rang the inflation alarm, and admitted to buying \"so-so\" stocks during Berkshire's annual shareholder meeting in May.\nThe investor also complained about the surge in people treating the stock market like a casino. Moreover, he acknowledged that trimming his Apple stake and selling Costco were likely mistakes, and suggested he avoided bailing out the \"big four\" US airlines by exiting his positions in them in April 2020.\nThe tax fracas\nWarren Buffett\nBuffett came under fire in June after ProPublica secured the tax returns of some of the wealthiest Americans, and reported the investor paid only $25 million in federal income tax between 2014 and 2018.\nThe Berkshire boss defended himself by noting that he's pledged to give over 99% of his net worth to philanthropic causes, and has already donated about half of his Berkshire \"A\" shares since 2006.\nThe Gates Foundation\nPaul Sakuma/AP Photo\nBuffett resigned as a trustee of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in June. The investor explained that he was barely involved in the foundation's work, and had already stepped down from all corporate boards except his own.\nHe also highlighted his annual donation of $4.1 billion in total to five charities, including the Gates Foundation.\nFriendship with Charlie Munger\nSCOTT MORGAN/REUTERS\nBuffett and his business partner, Charlie Munger, discussed their decades-long friendship in a CNBC interview that aired in June.\nThe pair sharply criticized Robinhood, and Munger called for tighter regulations on derivatives trading after Archegos Capital's meltdown. Buffett underlined the immense contribution that Munger has made to his life.\nBuybacks, cash, and stock sales\nWarren Buffett\nBerkshire's third-quarter earnings underlined how hard it has been for Buffett to find bargain stocks and businesses this year. That has prompted him to stockpile cash and ramp up share buybacks.\nThe conglomerate sold a net $7 billion of stock in the year to September 30, revealed it was on track to repurchase a record $25 billion of stock this year, and grew its cash pile to an unprecedented $149 billion.\nThe Apple bet\nWarren Buffett\nBuffett's biggest success this year might well be his Apple investment.\nThe investor plowed $36 billion into the iPhone maker between 2016 and 2018. ,"news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1765,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":877412906,"gmtCreate":1637971552624,"gmtModify":1637971844101,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586229488061125","authorIdStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"good","listText":"good","text":"good","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/877412906","repostId":"2186344440","repostType":2,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2054,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":877143964,"gmtCreate":1637903252960,"gmtModify":1637903253068,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586229488061125","authorIdStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"time The S&P 500 has also made it more than a year since its last 10% correction, and some investors are growing concerned that a combination of historically high stock valuations, rising inflation, the COVID-19 variant and the possibility that aggressive Federal Reserve tightening could trigger a market crash in the next couple of quarters.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/1f999347452cfb2fdd30570431642cb9\" tg-width=\"685\" tg-height=\"375\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer\"></p>\n<p>Historically, the S&P 500 has averaged about one 10% pullback per yearsince 1950. Long-term investors have no reason to fear temporary market pullbacks, but there are ways to prepare for the next stock market crash to reduce your risk and take advantage of the potential buying opportunity. Here are three things to do before the next stock market crash.</p>\n<p><b>1. Diversify Your Portfolio</b></p>\n<p>Not all market sectors and asset classes take the same hit when the stock market crashes, but it’s difficult to predict beforehand which stocks will be hit hardest. The market crash in 2008 hit bank and housing stocks hardest, while the crash in 2020 was particularly bad for travel and retail stocks. Growth stocks also tend to take a harder hit than value stocks during market crashes. By diversifying your portfolio into different types of stocks, bonds, commodities and other investments, you are ensuring that your portfolio won’t be overexposed to the worst parts of the next market crash or underexposed to any investments that may avoid the sell-off.</p>\n<p><b>2. Raise Cash</b></p>\n<p>There have been countless pullbacks, crashes and recessions throughout history. One strategy that has worked every single time for long-term investors during those periods is buying the dip. But to buy the dip, you must have cash or margin available.</p>\n<p>If you are 100% invested, your hands will be tied and your only option may be tosell stockat the worst possible time. Market crashes are nearly impossible to predict, so there’s no need to dump all your stocks now and transition to all cash. But raising the amount of cash in your account to 10%, 20% or whatever level makes you feel more comfortable allows you to be opportunistic when the next crash happens.</p>\n<p><b>3. Maintain A Watch List</b></p>\n<p>Investors tend to not make the best, most rational decisions during the worst of a stock market crash. It’s best if you have a plan of action before the crash so that you aren’t trying to make emotional decisions when it seems like the sky is falling.</p>\n<p>Before the stock market turns south, make a list of stocks you may potentially be interested in buying on the dip. Research these companies and vet them prior to the crash so that all you have to do when the opportunity to buy the dip arises is click that “buy” button.</p>","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; charset=utf-8\" />\n<meta name=\"viewport\" content=\"width=device-width,initial-scale=1.0,minimum-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=1.0,user-scalable=no\"/>\n<meta name=\"format-detection\" content=\"telephone=no,email=no,address=no\" />\n<title>Worried About A Market Crash? Launched in August 2020, Shiba is now the 10th largest cryptocurrency.</p>\n<p>On the <a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/AONE.U\">one</a> hand, Shiba Inu’s mascot (the Shiba Inu dog breed) is the only characteristic it shares with its rival Dogecoin. Shiba was constructed as an “experiment in decentralized spontaneous community building” according to the project’s white paper, whereas Dogecoin was designed to be a satirical take on internet meme culture. And while Dogecoin’s developer community and long-term roadmap are notoriously sketchy, the Shiba ecosystem is seeking a number of use cases, including a decentralized exchange.</p>\n<p>On the other hand, Shiba -- which calls itself the “Dogecoin Killer” -- is just another dog-themed cryptocurrency hyped up by online speculators through Reddit, Telegram, and other online communities. By extension, in spite of its astounding market capitalization, Shiba is just another “meme asset” whose rise in value is untethered from any fundamental analysis or network utility.</p>\n<p>Shiba coin is far from the only decentralized project -- there are dozens of decentralized cryptocurrencies available. Many have been engineered by respected cryptographers and technologists, receive backing from leading Silicon Valley venture capitalists, and boast sophisticated governance systems. But it is Shiba -- an asset like Dogecoin, whose core appeal is its hilarity -- that is the hottest asset in crypto.</p>\n<p>But the appetite for dog-inspired meme cryptocurrencies is so voracious, even Shiba Inu is already facing fresh competition in the form of Floki Inu, a new coin reportedly named after the future dog of Elon Musk (the original Dogecoin promoter). Floki Inu coin has risen over 1,500 percent since August; the project is barraging London’s subway system with advertisements. Moreover, Floki says it has partnered with the food insecurity group Millions Garden Movement, which is associated with Kimbal Musk, Elon Musk’s brother and a Tesla board member. Floki’s core appeal to investors, it seems, is that it embodies multiple meme references at once.</p>\n<p>Bitcoin investors might dismiss all this madness, but that would be a mistake: Dogecoin, Shiba Inu Coin, even Floki coin are part of the cryptocurrency universe that Bitcoin created and still belongs to. Bitcoin may have recently hit new highs above $65,000, but it has now settled in at $60,000 once again, failing to even approach the extraordinary price predictions of so many analysts over the last six months.</p>\n<p>Those who have already made money investing in Bitcoin won’t be complaining too much with its recent performance, and to be sure, plenty of potential upside remains for the patient investor. But the longer crypto’s meme coin parody dominates headlines, the less Bitcoin becomes about Bitcoin, and the more it becomes about broader crypto chaos.\nThe views and opinions expressed herein are the views and opinions of the author and do not necessarily reflect those of Nasdaq, Inc.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":589,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":857149923,"gmtCreate":1635515412060,"gmtModify":1635515412147,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586229488061125","authorIdStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/METX\">$Meten EdtechX(METX)$</a>this is the dip. buy the dips. today will be interesting to see how it closed.","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/METX\">$Meten EdtechX(METX)$</a>this is the dip. buy the dips. today will be interesting to see how it closed.","text":"$Meten EdtechX(METX)$this is the dip. buy the dips. today will be interesting to see how it closed.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/857149923","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":726,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":855091692,"gmtCreate":1635310297253,"gmtModify":1635310297382,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586229488061125","authorIdStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"up up on the way.","listText":"up up on the way.","text":"up up on the way.","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/855091692","repostId":"1171475292","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1171475292","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1635305420,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1171475292?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-10-27 11:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"The Next Big Move With Lucid Stock May Take Time","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1171475292","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"LCID stock could stay stuck at current prices (or move lower) in the next year","content":"<p>Back up past $26 per share after its recent production progress, is it time to buy <b>Lucid Group</b>(NASDAQ:<b><u>LCID</u></b>) stock?</p>\n<p>It depends on your time horizon. This occurs when an investor sells a stock at loss in order to offset capital gains realized earlier in the year and on which capital gains tax would otherwise be due. Such selling needs to be completed before Dec. 31 in order to reduce 2021 taxes.</p>\n<p>To appreciate the big role that tax-loss selling plays as the new year approaches, consider the performance of a hypothetical portfolio containing the 10% of U.S. stocks with the lowest trailing-12 month returns, rebalanced monthly. The stocks in this portfolio should be the ones most susceptible to tax-loss selling.</p>\n<p>Since 1927, according to data from Dartmouth professor Ken French, this “losers” portfolio does progressively worse as the end of the year approaches, as the chart below indicates.</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://static.tigerbbs.com/12e3b59139cb6d4691115a1d40802807\" tg-width=\"700\" tg-height=\"471\" width=\"100%\" height=\"auto\"></p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>\n<p>The investment implication of this pattern depends on your time horizon. If you’re not a short-term trader, then the takeaway is that you should prepare for extra market volatility over the next two months. Resist the inclination to dump a stock because of artificial selling pressure having nothing to do with its fundamentals.</p>\n<p>For traders and short-term investors, there’s a separate investment implication — profit from others’ tax-loss selling. As the chart also shows, the stocks most punished by this selling tend to bounce back sharply in January. That makes sense, because tax-loss selling ends on Dec. 31; in January a huge weight is lifted off these already-beleaguered stocks, and many perform strongly.</p>\n<p>With that in mind, I constructed a list of stocks with attractive longer-term prospects that are also losers for the year through Oct. 22. There’s a good chance that tax-loss selling will significantly depress their returns between now and the end of the year, enabling traders to pick up a few of them at bargain prices.</p>\n<p>You might consider placing buy limits well-below the current market on a basket of them, in hopes that a couple of them get filled. If history is any guide, these stocks stand a good chance of rebounding significantly in January.</p>\n<p>To construct the table below, I started with a list of stocks in the S&P 1500 index that were losers through the close of trading on Oct. 22. I narrowed the list further to include only those that are currently recommended by two or more of the top-performing investment newsletters that my auditing firm monitors.</p>\n<p></p>\n<table>\n <tbody>\n <tr>\n <td><b>Stock</b></td>\n <td><b>YTD</b> %</td>\n <td><b># Newsletters recommending</b></td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Bristol-Myers Squibb Company </td>\n <td>-5.0%</td>\n <td>2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Cardinal Health, Inc. </td>\n <td>-5.0%</td>\n <td>4</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Walt Disney Company </td>\n <td>-6.5%</td>\n <td>3</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Amgen Inc. </td>\n <td>-7.0%</td>\n <td>2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>FedEx Corporation </td>\n <td>-9.6%</td>\n <td>4</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>PetMed Express, Inc. </td>\n <td>-13.2%</td>\n <td>2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Activision Blizzard, Inc. </td>\n <td>-14.2%</td>\n <td>2</td>\n </tr>\n <tr>\n <td>Viatris, Inc. </td>\n <td>-24.5%</td>\n <td>2</td>\n </tr>\n </tbody>\n</table>\n<p></p>\n<p><i>YTD return as of 10/22/21</i></p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>\n<p></p>","source":"lsy1603348471595","collect":0,"html":"<!DOCTYPE html>\n<html>\n<head>\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; This occurs when an investor sells a stock at loss in order to offset capital gains realized earlier in the year and on which capital gains tax would otherwise be due. Such selling needs to be completed before Dec. 31 in order to reduce 2021 taxes.\nTo appreciate the big role that tax-loss selling plays as the new year approaches, consider the performance of a hypothetical portfolio containing the 10% of U.S. stocks with the lowest trailing-12 month returns, rebalanced monthly. The stocks in this portfolio should be the ones most susceptible to tax-loss selling.\nSince 1927, according to data from Dartmouth professor Ken French, this “losers” portfolio does progressively worse as the end of the year approaches, as the chart below indicates.\n\n\n\nThe investment implication of this pattern depends on your time horizon. If you’re not a short-term trader, then the takeaway is that you should prepare for extra market volatility over the next two months. Resist the inclination to dump a stock because of artificial selling pressure having nothing to do with its fundamentals.\nFor traders and short-term investors, there’s a separate investment implication — profit from others’ tax-loss selling. As the chart also shows, the stocks most punished by this selling tend to bounce back sharply in January. That makes sense, because tax-loss selling ends on Dec. 31; in January a huge weight is lifted off these already-beleaguered stocks, and many perform strongly.\nWith that in mind, I constructed a list of stocks with attractive longer-term prospects that are also losers for the year through Oct. 22. There’s a good chance that tax-loss selling will significantly depress their returns between now and the end of the year, enabling traders to pick up a few of them at bargain prices.\nYou might consider placing buy limits well-below the current market on a basket of them, in hopes that a couple of them get filled. If history is any guide, these stocks stand a good chance of rebounding significantly in January.\nTo construct the table below, I started with a list of stocks in the S&P 1500 index that were losers through the close of trading on Oct. 22. I narrowed the list further to include only those that are currently recommended by two or more of the top-performing investment newsletters that my auditing firm monitors.\n\n\n\n\nStock\nYTD %\n# Newsletters recommending\n\n\nBristol-Myers Squibb Company \n-5.0%\n2\n\n\nCardinal Health, Inc. \n-5.0%\n4\n\n\nWalt Disney Company \n-6.5%\n3\n\n\nAmgen Inc. \n-7.0%\n2\n\n\nFedEx Corporation \n-9.6%\n4\n\n\nPetMed Express, Inc. \n-13.2%\n2\n\n\nActivision Blizzard, Inc. \n-14.2%\n2\n\n\nViatris, Inc. \n-24.5%\n2\n\n\n\n\nYTD return as of 10/22/21","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMGN":0.9,"ATVI":0.9,"BMY":0.9,"CAH":0.9,"DIS":0.9,"FDX":0.9,"PETS":0.9,"VTRS":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":732,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"hots":[{"id":839575636,"gmtCreate":1629170108725,"gmtModify":1631886148285,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586229488061125","idStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SESN\">$Sesen Bio, Inc.(SESN)$</a>Cannot rrecognize myself.","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SESN\">$Sesen Bio, Inc.(SESN)$</a>Cannot rrecognize myself.","text":"$Sesen Bio, Inc.(SESN)$Cannot rrecognize myself.","images":[{"img":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3675ab6a0c5e49e795fa9a1fd776ccf4","width":"1080","height":"1920"}],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":4,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/839575636","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1481,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":1,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":831900469,"gmtCreate":1629276537151,"gmtModify":1631886148267,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586229488061125","idStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SESN\">$Sesen Bio, Inc.(SESN)$</a>intraday chiong to 2.20","listText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/SESN\">$Sesen Bio, Inc.(SESN)$</a>intraday chiong to 2.20","text":"$Sesen Bio, Inc.(SESN)$intraday chiong to 2.20","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/831900469","isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1165,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":806151110,"gmtCreate":1627643646030,"gmtModify":1631886991645,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586229488061125","idStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"great","listText":"great","text":"great","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/806151110","repostId":"2155013045","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":203,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":816608865,"gmtCreate":1630492039357,"gmtModify":1631884007682,"author":{"id":"3586229488061125","authorId":"3586229488061125","name":"RIC","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/40f79c31af5e7623d32535c3123b12c2","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3586229488061125","idStr":"3586229488061125"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"<a href=\"https://laohu8.com/S/BBIG\">$Vinco Ventures, Inc.(BBIG)$</a>come on babe you can do it.
