Culture(NASDAQ:CPOP) stock is rocketing higher on Thursday after the company launched its initial public offering (IPO) yesterday.\nLet’s take a deeper dive into Pop Culture and its recent IPO.\n\nTo start off with, Pop Culture is a Chinese company based out of Xiamendedicated to promoting hip-pop culture.\nIts goal is to “promote hip-hop culture and its values of love, peace, unity, respect, and having fun, and to promote cultural exchange with respect to hip-hop between the United States and China.”\nThis has it offering up entertainment events, online programs, and other services with the younger generation as its primary target.\nPop Culture launched its IPO yesterday that put shares of CPOP stock on theNasdaq Exchange.\nThis saw it offering 6.2 million shares of CPOP stock at a price of $6 each.\nThe company expects to generate $37.2 million from the offering.\n\n\nThere’s also a 45-day option for underwriters of the IPO to purchase an additional 930,000 shares at the IPO price.\nThe offering is expected to close tomorrow.\nPop Culture already has plans for the money it gains from the IPO.\nThat includes using it to “develop and operate online content, develop a street dance training business, create derivative works of hip-hop intellectual properties, and develop hip-hop events, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.”\nWhile CPOP is currently trading well above the penny stock range, investors may still want to be careful when investing considering its low price before the massive surge yesterday and today.\n\nCPOP stock was up 99.7% as of Thursday morning.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":187,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":156186487,"gmtCreate":1625202402849,"gmtModify":1631892689695,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hi","listText":"Hi","text":"Hi","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":2,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/156186487","repostId":"2148873174","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":365,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":158150278,"gmtCreate":1625139054694,"gmtModify":1631892689699,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hi","listText":"Hi","text":"Hi","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/158150278","repostId":"1163123747","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1163123747","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625139001,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1163123747?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-01 term\nCompa","content":"
Meme stock popularity could help PLTR stock rally toward its high-water mark in the short term
\n
Compared to most investors, I hold a more bearish view on Palantir(NYSE:PLTR) stock. Due to its high valuation, and concerns over possible slowing growth, down the road this popular big data play may be at risk of a major correction. Yet, given two factors currently in play, these issues could continue to stay on the back burner.
\n
First, its meme stock status. As this status still holds, it stands to rally further. Not only that, this trend itself could give its underlying business an unexpected boost. Second, the transitory inflation narrative. As this view remains the consensus, fears of interest rate hikes will likely stay low. This will help prevent any valuation contraction among “story stocks” like this one.
\n
So far, both factors have enabled it to bounce back. After falling below $20 per share, Palantir today changes hands for around $27 per share. Based on its stock price trajectory, a move back above $30 per share looks to be on the horizon. A move to (or near) its high water mark of $45 per share may be attainable as well.
\n
That’s not to say it’s a less risky stock than it was before. Today’s sentiments could turn on a dime, sending shares on a double-digit percentage selloff. But, cautiously positioned, this may make for a solid vehicle to play current investing trends, before they change.
\n
PLTR Stock: Meme Stock Status May Help in More Ways
\n
Sure, Palantir’s booming prospects have played a role in the success of its stock this year. But, chances are its gains wouldn’t have been so massive if it wasn’t a favorite of Reddit’s r/WallStreetBetscommunity. The enthusiasm for it cooled a bit in the spring. But, in the past month, it’s come back in a big way.
\n
That’s not all. Its popularity among retail traders could be helping it out in more ways than one. I’m talking about recent statements from its COO, Shyam Sankar, who said the popularity of PLTR stock has helped sales. The company is best known for its sales to the U.S. federal government. But, it’s been looking to the private sector to help it sustain its high rate of revenue growth.
\n
A longstanding concern has been the company’s ability to expand its commercial unit in line with investor expectations. Yet, if Sankar’s statements are not an exaggeration, and the company’s meme stock status is having a synergistic effect in helping it grow its business, concerns over its long-term growth runway may prove overblown.
\n
Instead, as the company looks even more set to continue expanding at a 30%+ clip, its rich valuation may not be under threat. Coupled with cooling concerns about rising inflation leading to rising interest rates, and in turn, valuation contraction, PLTR stock could remain on the upward trajectory it’s been on since mid-May.
\n
Near-Term Correction Risk Is Low if Narrative Holds
\n
Recently, I included Palantir among several tech stocks that could continue to gain if the transitory inflation narrative stays in place. A few times this year, worries about the increase in cost of goods and services has left investors jittery about possible inflation, and a sharp increase in interest rates.
\n
So far, the Federal Reserve has downplayed these concerns by calling today’s inflation “transitory,”a product of the reopening following the pandemic. Over the past month, market participants have taken this view as well. This, on top of its meme stock popularity, enabled PLTR stock to sustain its rich valuation.
\n
A few months from now, we’ll get a better idea whether today’s inflation is temporary or more akin to the inflation issues of decades past. But, in the near term, assuming the Fed isn’t forced to change its tune, this narrative will likely remain. Despite Palantir’s forward price-to-earnings, or P/E, ratio of 187.5x, a correction on valuation concerns could be minimal.
\n
Again, keep in mind this is only a short-term, not a long-term, forecast. If it becomes definite its growth train is slowing down? Investors will likely reassess this stock’s valuation, and not in a good way.
\n
Risk-Hungry Investors Stand to Profit in Near Term
\n
The long-term bull case remains shaky. With so much of its future growth already priced-in, it’s still at risk of eventually correcting. At the very least, PLTR stock could reach a point where it treads water, and grows into its valuation.
\n
The near term, though, still looks good for PLTR stock. With the meme stock phenomenon, and the transitory inflation narratives still at play, this popular stock may have a shot of retracing its high water mark. Just exercise some caution, as a reversal in sentiment could be painful.
\n

","source":"lsy1606302653667","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
If Current Conditions Hold, Palantir Stock Could Climb Back to Its Highs
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nIf Current Conditions Hold, Palantir Stock Could Climb Back to Its Highs\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-07-01 19:30 GMT+8 InvestorPlace\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
Meme stock popularity could help PLTR stock rally toward its high-water mark in the short term\nCompared to most investors, I hold a more bearish view on Palantir(NYSE:PLTR) stock. Don’t be surprised if the stock market keeps on rising.
\n
With June coming to an end, the S&P 500 finished the first half of 2021 with a gain of 14.4%. Since 1998, only 2019’s 17.4% first-half surge has been larger.
\n
The market got a boost from Covid-19 vaccinations, which have helped the U.S. economy reopen, while trillions of dollars of fiscal stimulus have helped shore up demand. The gains continued even as concerns about inflation have increased speculation that the Federal Reserve would be forced to take steps to slow the economy.
\n
The combination of big gains and a more hawkish Fed have raised concerns that the market has become too complacent. If inflation continues to run hot for long enough, the central bank could be forced to act more quickly than the market expects—and cause stocks to tumble. Others worry that U.S. economic growth could slow faster than investors anticipate, causing a pullback in the process.
\n
For those who take that view, there is no better time to back away from the stock market than the present. History suggests otherwise.
\n
Since 1979, the S&P 500 has gained 10% or more 14 times during the first half of the year, and the index has gone on to average a 6.3% gain over the second half of the year. What’s more, the index finished the second half of the year higher In 11 of those instances, or 79% of the time.
\n
Even the losses, when they occurred, weren’t all that bad. The S&P 500 dropped 1.9% in the second half of 1983 and 3.5% during the last six months of 1986.
\n
The one exception was the last six months of 1987 when the index fell 19% during the second half of the year. That period included Black Monday, when the S&P 500 dropped 20% in one day, still a record loss. While selling linked to so-called portfolio insurance was ultimately blamed for the size and speed of the loss, the second half of 1987 was a period of rising bond yields and high stock-market valuations, just like the first half of 2021.
\n
Still, the market has been acting like it wants to go higher, not lower. Don’t be surprised if the stock market keeps on rising.\nWith June coming to an end, the S&P 500 finished the first half of 2021 with a gain of 14.4%. Since 1998, only 2019’s 17.4% first-half surge has been larger.\nThe market got a boost from Covid-19 vaccinations, which have helped the U.S. economy reopen, while trillions of dollars of fiscal stimulus have helped shore up demand. The gains continued even as concerns about inflation have increased speculation that the Federal Reserve would be forced to take steps to slow the economy.\nThe combination of big gains and a more hawkish Fed have raised concerns that the market has become too complacent. If inflation continues to run hot for long enough, the central bank could be forced to act more quickly than the market expects—and cause stocks to tumble. Others worry that U.S. economic growth could slow faster than investors anticipate, causing a pullback in the process.\nFor those who take that view, there is no better time to back away from the stock market than the present. History suggests otherwise.\nSince 1979, the S&P 500 has gained 10% or more 14 times during the first half of the year, and the index has gone on to average a 6.3% gain over the second half of the year. What’s more, the index finished the second half of the year higher In 11 of those instances, or 79% of the time.\nEven the losses, when they occurred, weren’t all that bad. The S&P 500 dropped 1.9% in the second half of 1983 and 3.5% during the last six months of 1986.\nThe one exception was the last six months of 1987 when the index fell 19% during the second half of the year. That period included Black Monday, when the S&P 500 dropped 20% in one day, still a record loss. While selling linked to so-called portfolio insurance was ultimately blamed for the size and speed of the loss, the second half of 1987 was a period of rising bond yields and high stock-market valuations, just like the first half of 2021.\nStill, the market has been acting like it wants to go higher, not lower. Pullbacks, a normal event in the midst of bull runs, have been mild in 2021, with the largest drops being less than 4%. “What the [S&P 500] has done throughout 2021 is pick itself up when and where it has needed to, maintaining an uptrend all along,” writes Frank Cappelleri, chief market technician at Instinet.\nThat 6.3% average second-half rise would push the S&P 500’s full-year gain to around 23%. That would represent a “textbook [market] recovery” from a recession, says Fundstrat’s Tom Lee.\nFor now, at least, the path of least resistance is higher.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":387,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":122291015,"gmtCreate":1624621336237,"gmtModify":1631892689714,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Wow","listText":"Wow","text":"Wow","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/122291015","repostId":"1122573318","repostType":2,"repost":{"id":"1122573318","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624620327,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1122573318?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-25 19:25","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Buy Tesla Stock Now, But Be Ready to Sell","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1122573318","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Tesla will soar in the short-term, but its competition will catch up eventually.Tesla is ready for its final push.
Pullbacks, a normal event in the midst of bull runs, have been mild in 2021, with the largest drops being less than 4%. “What the [S&P 500] has done throughout 2021 is pick itself up when and where it has needed to, maintaining an uptrend all along,” writes Frank Cappelleri, chief market technician at Instinet.
\n
That 6.3% average second-half rise would push the S&P 500’s full-year gain to around 23%. That would represent a “textbook [market] recovery” from a recession, says Fundstrat’s Tom Lee.\nFor now, at least, the path of least resistance is higher.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":387,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":807479871,"gmtCreate":1628053625493,"gmtModify":1631890400893,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Tell me your opinion about this news...","listText":"Tell me your opinion about this news...","text":"Tell me your opinion about this news...","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/807479871","repostId":"1124524228","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1320,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":808649643,"gmtCreate":1627577108282,"gmtModify":1631890400896,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Conment","listText":"Conment","text":"Conment","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/808649643","repostId":"1179174010","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1179174010","kind":"news","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1627572541,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1179174010?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-29 23:29","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Musk confirms Tesla AI Day will be on August 19","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1179174010","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Tesla shares surged more than 5% after Elon Musk confirming Tesla AI Day will be on August 19.Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed via tweet on Thursday that the company is holding an AI Day on Aug. 19.While the company did not provide details of the artificial intelligence event, Musk said in a June 21 tweet that the event \"will go over progress with Tesla AI software & hardware, both training & inference\" and that its purpose is recruiting. The focus of the AI event is likely to be around Tesla's self","content":"
Tesla shares surged more than 5% after Elon Musk confirming Tesla AI Day will be on August 19.
\n

\n
Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed via tweet on Thursday that the company is holding an AI Day on Aug. 19.
\n
While the company did not provide details of the artificial intelligence event, Musk said in a June 21 tweet that the event \"will go over progress with Tesla AI software & hardware, both training & inference\" and that its purpose is recruiting.
\n
The focus of the AI event is likely to be around Tesla's self-driving technology. TSLA stock is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you have the best EV maker in the world with promising upside in solar and energy storage. But you also have a ton of new competition entering the electric vehicle space in 2022. And the solar energy and energy storage businesses aren’t exactly booming.
\n
The current situation is a cocktail for near-term alpha and long-term beta in the stock.
\n
The near-term alpha is predicated on the fact that Tesla is killing it in China currently. Its Model 3 and Model Y are excelling. The latter of which wasthe best selling BEV in China in the second quarteraccording to UBS.
\n
These strong growth trends will help Tesla report solid second- and third-quarter numbers. As a result, TSLA stock should soar back to all-time highs.
\n
However, we think that’s Tesla’s last hurrah.
\n
Buy TSLA Stock Today, Sell the Future Rally
\n
New competition is coming. All the legacy auto makers — likeFord(NYSE:F),General Motors(NYSE:GM),Volkswagen(OTC:VWAPY) — are transitioning to electric.
\n
At the same time, many new entrants are launching EVs in 2022 and 2023 such asLucid Motors(NYSE:CCIV),Fisker(NYSE:FSR) andCanoo(NASDAQ:GOEV). Some of these companies offerEVs that are superior to Tesla’s.
\n
China’s big players, likeNio(NYSE:NIO) andXpeng(NYSE:XPEV), are starting with a big push in Europe but will expand and reach a global audience soon enough.
\n
Competition is going to heat up a lot in the coming years.
\n
While Tesla may still end up making the best EVs in the world, we think it’s silly to assume it won’t lose some market share to this wave of competition.
\n
It’s going to happen.It’s inevitable.
\n
And unfortunately, Tesla isn’t priced for market share erosion.
\n
The one thing that could save TSLA in the event of market share erosion is rapid expansion of their solar and energy storage business.
\n
But Tesla leaves us feeling unimpressed by their (lack of) progress in that space. TSLA stock is a double-edged sword. On one hand, you have the best EV maker in the world with promising upside in solar and energy storage. But you also have a ton of new competition entering the electric vehicle space in 2022. And the solar energy and energy storage businesses aren’t exactly booming.\nThe current situation is a cocktail for near-term alpha and long-term beta in the stock.\nThe near-term alpha is predicated on the fact that Tesla is killing it in China currently. Its Model 3 and Model Y are excelling. The latter of which wasthe best selling BEV in China in the second quarteraccording to UBS.\nThese strong growth trends will help Tesla report solid second- and third-quarter numbers. As a result, TSLA stock should soar back to all-time highs.\nHowever, we think that’s Tesla’s last hurrah.\nBuy TSLA Stock Today, Sell the Future Rally\nNew competition is coming. All the legacy auto makers — likeFord(NYSE:F),General Motors(NYSE:GM),Volkswagen(OTC:VWAPY) — are transitioning to electric.\nAt the same time, many new entrants are launching EVs in 2022 and 2023 such asLucid Motors(NYSE:CCIV),Fisker(NYSE:FSR) andCanoo(NASDAQ:GOEV). Some of these companies offerEVs that are superior to Tesla’s.\nChina’s big players, likeNio(NYSE:NIO) andXpeng(NYSE:XPEV), are starting with a big push in Europe but will expand and reach a global audience soon enough.\nCompetition is going to heat up a lot in the coming years.\nWhile Tesla may still end up making the best EVs in the world, we think it’s silly to assume it won’t lose some market share to this wave of competition.\nIt’s going to happen. It’s inevitable.\nAnd unfortunately, Tesla isn’t priced for market share erosion.\nThe one thing that could save TSLA in the event of market share erosion is rapid expansion of their solar and energy storage business.\nBut Tesla leaves us feeling unimpressed by their (lack of) progress in that space. For example,Bloombergjust reported thatits solar business is actually underperforminginternal expectations by a wide margin.\nAll in all, we think TSLA stock is due for a near-term surge but long-term struggles.\nWhich is exactly why I’ve been considering going all-in a new EV stock. One that is primed for early-Tesla-like growth over the months and years to come.\nIn fact, I have a number of EV stocks in my Innovation Investor portfolio, each of which represents the cream-of-the-crop in disruptive technological innovation. These companies all feature second-to-none management teams and massive long-term potential.\nTheseNext-Gen Mobilitystocks include a secret startup that’s spearheading the self-driving revolution, a company I consider my EV “sleeper” stock of the decade, and my No. 1 stock pick to not just rival Tesla, but to completely dominate it.","news_type":1},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":344,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":808643231,"gmtCreate":1627577217723,"gmtModify":1631890400893,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like pls","listText":"Like pls","text":"Like pls","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":2,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/808643231","repostId":"1143143611","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":850,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":158150278,"gmtCreate":1625139054694,"gmtModify":1631892689699,"author":{"id":"3586929408791259","authorId":"3586929408791259","name":"Limyeesiang","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/ad8f8e7a5c26a3513362d9220513dad1","crmLevel":2,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3586929408791259","authorIdStr":"3586929408791259"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Hi","listText":"Hi","text":"Hi","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/158150278","repostId":"1163123747","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1163123747","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1625139001,"share":"https://www.laohu8.com/m/news/1163123747?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-07-01 19:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"If Current Conditions Hold, Palantir Stock Could Climb Back to Its Highs","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1163123747","media":"InvestorPlace","summary":"Meme stock popularity could help PLTR stock rally toward its high-water mark in the short term\nCompa","content":"
