The Windows Phone was very short-lived. It missed out on one market but didn't make the same mistake again. It's doing well as it positions itself to be a cloud leader. Will $IBM go through the same cycle? Who knows. IBM's share price has been stuck for a long time but not as long as Microsoft's. If history is of any indication, IBM bulls will need to be patient for a few more years at least. If you're not in a hurry for share price appreciation and happy with the steady dividend, by all means wait it out. For myself,

Not sure why they didn't answer questions on the issue hanging over this stock and the supplemental stock issuance. Management had a golden opportunity to speak to the direction of the company and blew it in my opinion! There are a lot of great initiatives working in TX but they need to state what they are planning to do with any additional capital raised.
