Microsoft has barred employees from using AI tools developed by Chinese startup Deepseek, citing data security risks and concerns over propaganda, Reuters reported Thursday, citing President Brad Smith.
Smith said Microsoft also excludes Deepseek's app from its store, warning that user data could be sent to China and the tool might generate content aligned with Beijing's messaging, according to the report.
