Tesla (TSLA) Chief Executive Elon Musk's SpaceX said late Monday it has acquired xAI to build a vertically integrated engine spanning artificial intelligence, satellite internet, and real-time information networks.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The move signals Musk's ambition to launch a constellation of satellites that operate as orbital data centers, using solar energy to support AI-driven applications, the company said.
