Fool","summary":"These growth and value stocks are begging to be bought by investors.","content":"
When Warren Buffett buys or sells a stock, Wall Street and retail investors tend to pay very close attention. That's because the Oracle of Omaha's track record is virtually unsurpassed. Since taking the reins of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK.A)(NYSE:BRK.B) in the mid-1960s, Buffett's company has averaged an annual return of 20%. This works out to an aggregate gain of greater than 2,800,000% for its Class A shares.
\n
Although Buffett isn't perfect, he and his investing team have a knack for identifying attractively valued businesses that have clear competitive advantages. As we prepare to move into the second half of 2021, the following five Buffett stocks stand out as those that should be bought hand over fist.
\n
Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett. Image source: The Motley Fool.
\n
Amazon
\n
Even though Buffett's investing lieutenants, Todd Combs and Ted Weschler, are the architects behind Berkshire Hathaway's stake in Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), it's arguably the Buffett stock that should be bought most aggressively ahead of the second half of the year.
\n
As most folks probably know, Amazon is an e-commerce juggernaut. Based on an April report from eMarketer, the company effectively controls $0.40 of every $1 spent online in the United States. It's also pivoted its online retail popularity into signing up more than 200 million people to its Prime program worldwide. The fees Amazon collects from Prime help it to undercut its competition on price. And it certainly doesn't hurt that Prime members tend to spend many multiples more than non-Prime shoppers during the course of the year.
\n
But it's the company's cloud infrastructure service, Amazon Web Services (AWS), that has truly budded into a star. Since the operating margins associated with cloud infrastructure are considerably higher than what Amazon nets from retail and advertising, AWS' growth is leading to a surge in operating cash flow. If investors were to continue to pay the midpoint of Amazon's operating cash flow multiple over the past decade, it could hit $10,000 a share by 2025.
\n
\n
Bristol Myers Squibb
\n
Pharmaceutical stocks are money machines, and none looks to be more attractive on a valuation basis than Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE:BMY).
\n
One reason to be excited about this drug developer is its organic growth potential. Eliquis, which was co-developed with Pfizer, has blossomed into the world's leading oral anticoagulant, with sales expected to surpass $10 billion in 2021. Meanwhile, dozens of additional clinical trials are underway for cancer immunotherapy Opdivo, which generated $7 billion in sales last year. This offers plenty of opportunity to expand Opdivo's label and pump up its pricing power.
\n
Another reason Bristol Myers Squibb is such an intriguing stock is its November 2019 acquisition of cancer and immunology company Celgene. Buying Celgene brought the blockbuster multiple-myeloma drug Revlimid into the fold. Revlimid has sustainably grown its annual sales by a double-digit percentage for more than a decade, with label expansion, longer duration of use, and pricing power all playing a role. This key treatment, which topped $12 billion in sales last year, is protected from a full onslaught of generic competition until early 2026. That means Bristol Myers will be rolling in the dough for another five years, at minimum.
\n
\n
Mastercard
\n
Everyone seems to be looking for the smartest recovery play from the pandemic. Payment processor Mastercard (NYSE:MA) might well be the safest way to take advantage of a steady uptick in consumer and enterprise spending.
\n
Mastercard isn't a cheap stock by any means -- at 36 times Wall Street's forward-year earnings consensus -- but it benefits from a simple numbers game. While economic contractions and recessions are inevitable, these periods of turbulence tend to be short-lived. By comparison, economic expansions often last many years. Buying into Mastercard allows investors to take full advantage of these long periods of economic expansion and robust spending. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Mastercard has the second-highest share of credit-card network purchase volume in the U.S., the leading market for consumption.
\n
Investors can also sleep easy with the understanding that Mastercard strictly sticks to payment facilitation. Even though some of its peers also lend, and are therefore able to generate interest income and fees during bull markets, Mastercard has avoided becoming a lender. It's something you'll truly appreciate when a recession strikes. Whereas most financial stocks will be forced to set aside capital to cover credit or loan delinquencies, Mastercard won't have to. This is a big reason it bounces back from recessions quicker than most financial stocks.
\n
\n
Teva Pharmaceutical Industries
\n
If you have an appetite for turnaround plays, brand-name and generic-drug developer Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE:TEVA) is the stock to buy hand over fist for the second half of 2021. Like Amazon, it's a stock that was added to Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio by either Combs or Weschler and not Buffett.
\n
While there's no denying that Teva has its fair share of hurdles to overcome, the company's turnaround-focused CEO, Kare Schultz, has been a blessing. Since taking the helm less than four years ago, Schultz has helped shave off more than $10 billion in net debt, and he's overseen the reduction of roughly $3 billion in annual operating expenses. There's more work to do to improve Teva's balance sheet, but the company is very clearly on much firmer ground than it was back in 2016-2017.
\n
Schultz also has the potential to play peacemaker for a number of outstanding lawsuits targeting Teva's role in the opioid crisis. If this litigation can be resolved with minimal cash outlay, Teva's valuation could soar. At just 4 times the company's projected earnings in 2021, Teva is about as cheap as a healthcare stock can get.
\n
\n
Bank of America
\n
Lastly, bank stock Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) has the look of a company that can be confidently bought hand over fist for the second half of 2021.
\n
For much of the past decade, the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates at or near historic lows. That's meant less in the way of interest income for banks. But the latest update from the nation's central bank suggests that interest rates could begin creeping up in 2023, a year earlier than previously forecast. Bank of America is the most interest-sensitive money-center bank. According to its first-quarter investor presentation, BofA would generate $8.3 billion in net interest income on a 100-basis-point shift in the interest rate yield curve. Translation: Bank of America's profits should rocket higher beginning in 2023-2024.
\n
At the same time, BofA has done an outstanding job of controlling its costs and improving its operating efficiency. Investments in digitization have resulted in higher mobile app and digital banking use, which is allowing the company to consolidate some of its branches. Even with its shares at a 13-year high, Bank of America has plenty left in the tank.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
5 Buffett Stocks to Buy Hand Over Fist for the Second Half of 2021
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\n5 Buffett Stocks to Buy Hand Over Fist for the Second Half of 2021\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2021-06-27 08:55 GMT+8 Motley Fool\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
When Warren Buffett buys or sells a stock, Wall Street and retail investors tend to pay very close attention. Meanwhile, dozens of additional clinical trials are underway for cancer immunotherapy Opdivo, which generated $7 billion in sales last year. This offers plenty of opportunity to expand Opdivo's label and pump up its pricing power.\nAnother reason Bristol Myers Squibb is such an intriguing stock is its November 2019 acquisition of cancer and immunology company Celgene. That means Bristol Myers will be rolling in the dough for another five years, at minimum.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nMastercard\nEveryone seems to be looking for the smartest recovery play from the pandemic. Payment processor Mastercard (NYSE:MA) might well be the safest way to take advantage of a steady uptick in consumer and enterprise spending.\nMastercard isn't a cheap stock by any means -- at 36 times Wall Street's forward-year earnings consensus -- but it benefits from a simple numbers game. While economic contractions and recessions are inevitable, these periods of turbulence tend to be short-lived. By comparison, economic expansions often last many years. Buying into Mastercard allows investors to take full advantage of these long periods of economic expansion and robust spending. Plus, it doesn't hurt that Mastercard has the second-highest share of credit-card network purchase volume in the U.S., the leading market for consumption.\nInvestors can also sleep easy with the understanding that Mastercard strictly sticks to payment facilitation. This is a big reason it bounces back from recessions quicker than most financial stocks.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nTeva Pharmaceutical Industries\nIf you have an appetite for turnaround plays, brand-name and generic-drug developer Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (NYSE:TEVA) is the stock to buy hand over fist for the second half of 2021. Like Amazon, it's a stock that was added to Berkshire Hathaway's portfolio by either Combs or Weschler and not Buffett.\nWhile there's no denying that Teva has its fair share of hurdles to overcome, the company's turnaround-focused CEO, Kare Schultz, has been a blessing. Since taking the helm less than four years ago, Schultz has helped shave off more than $10 billion in net debt, and he's overseen the reduction of roughly $3 billion in annual operating expenses. There's more work to do to improve Teva's balance sheet, but the company is very clearly on much firmer ground than it was back in 2016-2017.\nSchultz also has the potential to play peacemaker for a number of outstanding lawsuits targeting Teva's role in the opioid crisis. If this litigation can be resolved with minimal cash outlay, Teva's valuation could soar. At just 4 times the company's projected earnings in 2021, Teva is about as cheap as a healthcare stock can get.\nImage source: Getty Images.\nBank of America\nLastly, bank stock Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) has the look of a company that can be confidently bought hand over fist for the second half of 2021.\nFor much of the past decade, the Federal Reserve has kept interest rates at or near historic lows. Translation: Bank of America's profits should rocket higher beginning in 2023-2024.\nAt the same time, BofA has done an outstanding job of controlling its costs and improving its operating efficiency. Investments in digitization have resulted in higher mobile app and digital banking use, which is allowing the company to consolidate some of its branches. Even with its shares at a 13-year high, Bank of America has plenty left in the tank.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":0.9,"BAC":0.9,"BMY":0.9,"BRK.A":0.9,"BRK.B":0.9,"MA":0.9,"TEVA":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1447,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":128046018,"gmtCreate":1624496429834,"gmtModify":1634005305083,"author":{"id":"3579862040038906","authorId":"3579862040038906","name":"Harozzz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9fe4ee8e38ad1b6b8db21f9d745af71a","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579862040038906","authorIdStr":"3579862040038906"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Amazon stock to the moon","listText":"Amazon stock to the moon","text":"Amazon stock to the moon","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/128046018","repostId":"1156291883","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1156291883","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624457943,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1156291883?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-23 22:19","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Amazon Prime Day sales surpass $11 billion, topping record Cyber Monday levels, Adobe says","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1156291883","media":"cnbc","summary":"KEY POINTS\n\nOnline retail sales in the United States during Amazon's 48-hour Prime Day event have su","content":"
\n
KEY POINTS\n\nOnline retail sales in the United States during Amazon's 48-hour Prime Day event have surpassed record levels of e-commerce spending reached during Cyber Monday last year, according to a ...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Ark manages six actively traded exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and each one is centered around long-term growth and paradigm-shifting technology.
\n
Aside from electric vehicles, one of Wood's most outspoken ideas isBitcoin(CRYPTO:BTC). And so it's no surprise that the investment management firm's various funds owns shares of one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world,Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN). What is surprising, however, is the sheer number of shares that these funds have acquired in the two months since the company's direct listing. Let's take a look at the ARK's Coinbase stock accumulation -- as well as the company's strengths and weaknesses -- to determine if Coinbase is a stock worth buying now.
\n

\n
\n
ARK's Coinbase stock accumulation
\n
As of June 16, ARK's funds cumulatively own a staggering 4.63 million shares of Coinbase, valued at nearly $1.04 billion at the time of this writing. For context, that's nearly 2% of Coinbase's fully diluted capitalization of 261.3 million shares, which includes common stock, options, and restricted stock. This makes Ark one of the largest institutional owners of Coinbase.
\n
After a sizable purchase during the first week of Coinbase's direct listing, theARK Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKK),ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKW), andARKFintech Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKF) have been gradually adding shares. The following chart shows the combined daily buys and sells of these three ETFs.
\n

\n
Data source: ARK Invest, ARK ETF Track. Chart by author.
\n
As you can see in the chart, ARK acquired most of its position in April and May. That's a good sign for investors considering the stock at its current price, which is much cheaper than what Ark has been paying. Coinbase is now one of the largest holdings in the ARK suite of funds. Notably, it's now a top-10 holding in ARK's flagship Innovation fund.
\n
\n
\n
\n

Metric

\n

ARK Innovation (ARKK)

\n

ARK Nextgen Internet (ARKW)

\n

ARK Fintech (ARKF)

\n
\n
\n
\n
\n

Shares held

\n

3,309,612

\n

844,630

\n

463,517

\n
\n
\n

Position rank

\n

9/51

\n

10/48

\n

12/44

\n
\n
\n

% of fund

\n

3.5%

\n

3.5%

\n

2.9%

\n
\n
\n
\n
Data source: Ark Invest.
\n
A thriving business
\n
Coinbase is the No. 1 cryptocurrency custodian and exchange available in the U.S. Last year's first quarter (Q1) witnessed 34 million verified users and proceeded to earn $1.28 billion in revenue and $322 million in net income for the whole of 2020. But that was nothing compared to its blowout Q1 this year. Coinbase finished the quarter with 56 million verified users, produced $1.8 billion in revenue, and generated $771 million in net income for a profit margin of 43% compared to 25% for the full year 2020. Coinbase clearly benefited from a surge in cryptocurrency trading and valuations as the cumulative market cap of all tokens went from less than $800 billion at the end of 2020 to over $2 trillion by the end of Q1 2021.
\n
Coinbase charges a minimum trading fee of 1.49% per transaction. While it's true that it makes money from both the buying and selling of securities, it's generally going to make more money when cryptocurrency prices are going up. Higher valuations mean increased assets under management, trading volumes, and potentially more users entering its platform to try and get in on the action.
\n
Aside from cryptocurrency prices, Coinbase is also benefiting from increased institutional adoption of Bitcoin. Cathie Wood's Bitcoin optimism is centered around the notion that the more regular companies (not just banks and fintech platforms) that hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets, the more its value and reputation can grow. It may surprise you to learn that Coinbase's institutional trading volumes were about 80% higher than retail trading volumes in Q1. A lot of that came from Bitcoin andEthereum(CRYPTO:ETH), which comprise over 75% of the assets held on the Coinbase platform. Put another way, the cryptocurrency market is now sophisticated and dominated by big players -- a far cry from its fringe roots.
\n
In sum, Coinbase is one of those rare companies that pairs profitability with some serious growth potential. Management is optimistic that the growth can continue into the second quarter while acknowledging the cyclicality of the cryptocurrency market and the positive and negative effects this dynamic will have on Coinbase's performance.
\n
Increased competition
\n
That leads us to Coinbase's weaknesses, the first being cryptocurrency volatility. Cryptocurrency may be more mainstream than it used to be, but it's just as volatile as ever. The worst of the May cryptocurrency crash knocked Bitcoin and Ethereum down over 50% in just a matter of days. Volatility has rendered Bitcoin ineffective as a currency. Prolonged downturns in asset values and investor sentiment could lead to difficult comps or even negative growth for Coinbase over the short to medium term.
\n
It's probably best to steer clear of Coinbase if you don't believe in the future of cryptocurrency. But even after that baseline is met, there's still the threat of increased competition. Many of Coinbase's competitors offer higher interest rates and lower (or free) trading fees than Coinbase. As cryptocurrency adoption grows, Coinbase is likely to face even fiercer competition -- which could pressure profit margins and stagnate or shrink Coinbase's user count. However, Coinbase has never been hacked and has invested heavily in security and its user-friendly interface, and it has a reputation for offering high liquidity (which institutional investors love).
\n
The bottom line
\n
Cathie Wood and her team have been gobbling up Coinbase shares because they believe in the future of Bitcoin as both an asset class and a store of value. Given Coinbase's Q1 performance and Q2 projections, the company's 2021 numbers are poised to look excellent, which will make its valuation ratios look stellar. The big question is whether or not it can sustain its impressive pace.
\n
For investors new to the space, it's probably best to spend some time learning about the different types of cryptocurrency before diving headfirst into cryptocurrency-related investments. But for investors who already own Bitcoin or Ethereum, or are simply looking to start a position in equities rather than tokens, Coinbase seems to be one of the best cryptocurrency stocks out there.
","source":"fool_stock","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Cathie Wood Has Invested Over $1 Billion Into This Crypto Stock. Ark manages six actively traded exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and each one is centered around long-term growth and paradigm-shifting technology.\nAside from electric vehicles, one of Wood's most outspoken ideas isBitcoin(CRYPTO:BTC). Let's take a look at the ARK's Coinbase stock accumulation -- as well as the company's strengths and weaknesses -- to determine if Coinbase is a stock worth buying now.\n\nImage source: Getty Images.\nARK's Coinbase stock accumulation\nAs of June 16, ARK's funds cumulatively own a staggering 4.63 million shares of Coinbase, valued at nearly $1.04 billion at the time of this writing. For context, that's nearly 2% of Coinbase's fully diluted capitalization of 261.3 million shares, which includes common stock, options, and restricted stock. This makes Ark one of the largest institutional owners of Coinbase.\nAfter a sizable purchase during the first week of Coinbase's direct listing, theARK Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKK),ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKW), andARKFintech Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKF) have been gradually adding shares. The following chart shows the combined daily buys and sells of these three ETFs.\n\nData source: ARK Invest, ARK ETF Track. Chart by author.\nAs you can see in the chart, ARK acquired most of its position in April and May. That's a good sign for investors considering the stock at its current price, which is much cheaper than what Ark has been paying. Coinbase is now one of the largest holdings in the ARK suite of funds. Notably, it's now a top-10 holding in ARK's flagship Innovation fund.\n\n\n\nMetric\nARK Innovation (ARKK)\nARK Nextgen Internet (ARKW)\nARK Fintech (ARKF)\n\n\n\n\nShares held\n3,309,612\n844,630\n463,517\n\n\nPosition rank\n9/51\n10/48\n12/44\n\n\n% of fund\n3.5%\n3.5%\n2.9%\n\n\n\nData source: Ark Invest.\nA thriving business\nCoinbase is the No. Coinbase clearly benefited from a surge in cryptocurrency trading and valuations as the cumulative market cap of all tokens went from less than $800 billion at the end of 2020 to over $2 trillion by the end of Q1 2021.\nCoinbase charges a minimum trading fee of 1.49% per transaction. While it's true that it makes money from both the buying and selling of securities, it's generally going to make more money when cryptocurrency prices are going up. Higher valuations mean increased assets under management, trading volumes, and potentially more users entering its platform to try and get in on the action.\nAside from cryptocurrency prices, Coinbase is also benefiting from increased institutional adoption of Bitcoin. Put another way, the cryptocurrency market is now sophisticated and dominated by big players -- a far cry from its fringe roots.\nIn sum, Coinbase is one of those rare companies that pairs profitability with some serious growth potential. Management is optimistic that the growth can continue into the second quarter while acknowledging the cyclicality of the cryptocurrency market and the positive and negative effects this dynamic will have on Coinbase's performance.\nIncreased competition\nThat leads us to Coinbase's weaknesses, the first being cryptocurrency volatility. Prolonged downturns in asset values and investor sentiment could lead to difficult comps or even negative growth for Coinbase over the short to medium term.\nIt's probably best to steer clear of Coinbase if you don't believe in the future of cryptocurrency. However, Coinbase has never been hacked and has invested heavily in security and its user-friendly interface, and it has a reputation for offering high liquidity (which institutional investors love).\nThe bottom line\nCathie Wood and her team have been gobbling up Coinbase shares because they believe in the future of Bitcoin as both an asset class and a store of value. Given Coinbase's Q1 performance and Q2 projections, the company's 2021 numbers are poised to look excellent, which will make its valuation ratios look stellar. The big question is whether or not it can sustain its impressive pace.\nFor investors new to the space, it's probably best to spend some time learning about the different types of cryptocurrency before diving headfirst into cryptocurrency-related investments. But for investors who already own Bitcoin or Ethereum, or are simply looking to start a position in equities rather than tokens, Coinbase seems to be one of the best cryptocurrency stocks out there.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"ARKIU":0.9,"COIN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1552,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":120671891,"gmtCreate":1624323140513,"gmtModify":1634007851097,"author":{"id":"3579862040038906","authorId":"3579862040038906","name":"Harozzz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9fe4ee8e38ad1b6b8db21f9d745af71a","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579862040038906","authorIdStr":"3579862040038906"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Nice move","listText":"Nice move","text":"Nice move","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/120671891","repostId":"2145031425","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2145031425","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1624318087,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2145031425?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-22 07:28","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Moderna Plans To Expand COVID-19 Vaccine Production By 50% Including Boosters, Supply Other Countries","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2145031425","media":"Benzinga","summary":"Moderna Inc (NASDAQ: MRNA) will be adding two new production lines at the rebuilt former Polaroid pl","content":"

\n
\n
Moderna Inc (NASDAQ: MRNA) will be adding two new production lines at the rebuilt former Polaroid plant where it manufactures its COVID-19 vaccine to prepare for making booster shots.
\n
The company is getting one new line up and running by fall and the other by early 2022.
\n
The additions will help Moderna increase its overall production capacity by 50% at its plant in the Boston suburb of Norwood.
\n
Moderna and its manufacturing partners are also expanding production capacity outside the U.S., aiming to roughly triple the annual global output of COVID-19 vaccine doses to about 3 billion in 2022 from as many as 1 billion this year.
\n
Company officials said the latest expansion would help Moderna boost its overall supply of COVID-19 vaccine doses to the U.S. and other countries.
\n
Citing FactSet, Wall Street Journal posted that Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine sales will top $17.1 billion this year, dip slightly to $16.8 billion in 2022 and come in at $7.4 billion in 2023.
\n
The company currently makes between 40 million to 50 million doses a month in the U.S., most of which is made at the Norwood plant, but some are made at a contractor’s plant in New Hampshire, WSJ noted.
\n
Moderna has been on a hiring spree. And CNBC’s Jim Cramer believes we could be setting up for a similar performance, and possibly even worse.\nBespoke Investment Group looked at the intraday data and found theS&P 500typically is higher going into the 2:30 p.m. ET press conference, but then, on average, turns lower when Powell’s briefing begins. After the turn lower, the benchmark ends Powell press conference days lower by 2 basis points, according to Bespoke. (1 basis point is 0.01%)\n“Powell taking the podium has been the equivalent of ‘last call’ at a bar,” the firm said in a note.\nThis time, the Fed chief is faced with one of the tougher tightrope walks in his tenure as markets expect him to address the bubbling inflationary pressures that he previously characterized as transitory. At the same time, many believe Powell could upset the market if he signals that the central bank will start tapering their ultra-easy monetary policy. Investors will parse through tiny shifts in sentiment during Powell’s delicate dance this afternoon.\nThe Fed’s statement on policy and forecasts will be released at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday and Powell will take the podium at 2:30 p.m.\nBillionaire investors Paul Tudor Jonestold CNBC on Mondaythat this is the most important press conference in Powell’s career, and if he’s not careful, it could lead to another taper tantrum that could cause a correction in stocks.\nCramer echoed the sentiment on Wednesday, saying Powell could trigger a sell-off in the stock market as reporters will likely grill him on inflation.\n“I think that a lot of the heckling, which is what I regard the questions of the press being, is going to be about oil and inflation and at some point if Powell breaks his resolve and says, ‘Yes, I’m looking at oil,’ the traders will come in at 2:43 and smash the market.” Cramer said. “Press has to give Powell a hard time. At one point Powell slips up, the market goes down big.”\nTo be sure, the market’s performance during Powell’s briefing has been less negative in the pandemic era. The average for the past year’s Fed days has seen the S&P 500 hit its highs of the day after the press conference begins, and while there has been a sharp reversal off those highs, by the end of the day, the S&P 500 has only been modestly below its pre-announcement levels, according to Bespoke.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{".DJI":0.9,".IXIC":0.9,".SPX":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1993,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":163563908,"gmtCreate":1623889137704,"gmtModify":1631889103351,"author":{"id":"3579862040038906","authorId":"3579862040038906","name":"Harozzz","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/9fe4ee8e38ad1b6b8db21f9d745af71a","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3579862040038906","authorIdStr":"3579862040038906"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Future is Coinbase ","listText":"Future is Coinbase ","text":"Future is Coinbase","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":1,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/163563908","repostId":"1137784542","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1137784542","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1623856057,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1137784542?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-06-16 23:07","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Buy Coinbase on the dip for a long-term opportunity on the crypto economy, Canaccord says","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1137784542","media":"cnbc","summary":"Coinbase’s price may fluctuate alongside the value of bitcoin in the short-term, but Canaccord is be","content":"
\n
Coinbase’s price may fluctuate alongside the value of bitcoin in the short-term, but Canaccord is betting on the future of blockchain technology and initiating coverage of the crypto exchange as a buy...
\n\nWeb Link\n\n
\n","source":"cnbc_highlight","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n<meta http-equiv=\"Content-Type\" content=\"text/html; Bitcoin is currently trading around $39,000 following a rollercoaster month of trading after itsprice drop almost a month ago.\nCoinbase’s revenue is largely driven by trading fees, 81% of which come from retail trading and 5% from institutional trading, according to Canaccord. It has the highest trading fees across crypto exchanges, the bank found.\nStill, Canaccord said it’s confident Coinbase’s business will ultimately expand beyond retail trading and into emerging opportunities for the blockchain – which could include supporting new protocols beyond bitcoin and Ethereum, decentralized finance and cloud solutions – and that crypto exchange will be a “super on-ramp” into that new world.\nCanaccord set its one-year price target on the stock at $285, which is 12 times its 2022 enterprise value-to-sales estimate.Enterprise value-to-salesis a ratio that measures a firm’s value versus its sales revenue.\n“Market share and technology leaders that leverage their positions to drive innovation via creating new customer behaviors present some of most compelling, long-term value propositions in the market,” the bank said. “Although we will see ongoing volatility, we don’t think that comparing the longer-term potential of the blockchain and digital assets to what we have seen in ecommerce is off the mark.”\nThe analysts noted that Coinbase shares are likely to see headwinds in the short term, based on crypto spot price volatility so far in June.\n“If we are in a bitcoin holding pattern here for a while, COIN could likely see sequentially weaker financial performance,” they said.\nStill, “we remain biased to the upside on bitcoin medium term and believe that resilience and elegance in the blockchain provide a great foundation for the entirety of digital assets from here,” the analysts wrote.\nCanaccord’s analysts highlighted bitcoin’s increasingly vertical supply curve – that is, the fact that quantities are limited, regardless of how much investors are willing to pay – as well as institutional interest in digital assets, comparative valuation to other stores of value, and “importantly what we view as an inevitable U.S. ETF.”","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"COIN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1667,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0}],"defaultTab":"posts","isTTM":false}
