Doesn't seem like it's for Charity... Why is Amazon committing so much money to build houses? Is it for the land? Is it for control? Or is amazon slowly coming into real estate? Either way Amazon is too over priced to buy, it may be a better idea to find out who Amazon employed to build these houses and invest in those company instead.
