Alibaba vs Sea

$Alibaba(BABA)$$Sea Ltd(SE)$

Many people discussing about this 2 companies. No doubt that their business model may be similar, but their financials are not and I think the valuations used for the both companies should be different. The argument between Alibaba or Sea feels like a argument between value (Alibaba) and growth (Sea). 

Many people view Sea as a high growth company, in which I think so too. Their growth is definitely higher than Alibaba. However, their ROE & ROA are still in a negative territory. Sea's revenue was 2.69B whereas Alibaba's revenue was 32.20B. So I would say it's really not fair to both companies if you compare them using the same metrics. 

Although Alibaba is also "technically" a ecommerce company, I think they're moving more towards a value stock. For Sea, obviously a growth stock with plenty of room to grow. 

So... I think Sea is a great company for growth investors. Alibaba, a great company for value investors. 

Again, just my 2 cents.
