百世能在持续亏损中能活下来,全靠有阿里爸爸的助攻:百世的八次融资里,阿里参与了六次,上市前,阿里总共持有了百世约30%的股权。相比百世,极兔除了有东南亚总部持续输血和外部融资补充弹药,还有两条大腿:一是拼多多的商流。对通达系来说,拼多多的“5元包邮”利润空间实在太低,加上拼多多与阿里摩擦加剧,拼多多一边上线了电子面单系统,与阿里切割,另一方面开始扶持极兔,极兔的有90%以上的单量都来自拼多多[10],有稳定的商流支撑。加上极兔创始人李杰和黄峥同属“段永平系”,一度引发业界猜测。为了证明自己没有“钦点”极兔,拼多多还专门发了个声明,表示自己与极兔“无特殊合作、无投资关系”,但反手又把社区团购“多多买菜”的配送业务交给了极兔。二是OPPO的经销商。李杰曾是OPPO印尼市场的负责人,也是OPPO内部久经考验的老革命,OPPO内部还设定了一个“李杰奖”。极兔用于启动的近百亿资金,有很多来自OPPO一级代理商。极兔初期网点短缺的问题,除了蹭通达系的网,一部分也由OPPO手机门店解决:前面卖手机,后面放快递。极兔其实以一己之力改变了价格战的方式:以往大家的底线都是可以少赚点,但不能亏;现在是大家一起亏,比谁扛的久。今年4月,国家邮政局局长马军胜呼吁:“快递企业应该将利润投入科技与服务提升,而不是极端的价格竞争。”但起的作用不大。而对本就内卷升级的快递业来说,除了极兔从下而上亏本进攻,另一个消息是顺丰自上而下的垂直打击。顺丰虽然在时效件领域安稳地过日子,但从来没有放弃对电商件这个庞大市场的觊觎:2013年10月,顺丰以6折的定价揽收电商快递,跟通达系打价格战,但以直营打低价产品,成本太高,导致2014年盈利大幅下滑,不得不暂停。2016年四季度,顺丰又整了个新活:以集中揽件代替每次上门收件,压低了部分成本。针对中小型电商客户,顺丰还推出了两款定价不同的产品:日均超过200票的客户每单17
