best time to buy these three Wood picks?","content":"
After an astounding 2020, the chief investment officer of ARK Invest and stock picker extraordinaire Cathie Wood has had a rough 2021. The ARK Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKK) is down 38% off its all-time high and down 22% year to date.
\n
ARK and Wood invest in lots of high-growth tech stocks that have been battered this year, which is what's causing the fund's poor performance. Coinbase Global (NASDAQ:COIN), Shopify (NYSE:SHOP), and UiPath (NYSE:PATH) are some of Cathie Wood's favorites, and all are between 20% and 50% off their all-time highs. However, the fact that millions of dollars of their stock are sitting in Wood's ETFs should be indicative of their long-term potential. These companies are trading at bargain prices today, so you might want to consider putting them on your watchlist.
\n
Coinbase: A way to invest in crypto
\n
Coinbase is ARK Invest's third-largest holding, clocking in at a market value of $1.25 billion. Shares of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange have sunk like a stone recently, falling 32% off its all-time highs. However, this isn't fully indicative of business performance.
\n
With over $255 billion in assets across 100 different countries and 72 million users, Coinbase has become a cornerstone of the crypto economy as one of the leading, most trusted cryptocurrency exchanges. The company takes a cut of every purchase of crypto on the platform, so the rise in popularity of cryptocurrency has resulted in impressive revenue success. The company's revenue increased by over 330% year over year in Q3. With this, the company has also achieved impressive profitability: Coinbase brought almost one-third of its revenue to the bottom line.
\n
While its reliance on cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) has led to amazing growth recently, it's really a double-edged sword. The company makes money only on purchases of crypto, so in large-scale crypto sell-offs, the company is left stranded. This leaves Coinbase largely vulnerable to the winds of the crypto markets.
\n
With the recent sell-off of crypto and Bitcoin, Coinbase has followed suit -- falling to a valuation of just 22 times earnings. Whether this is justified or not, Coinbase will likely mimic the crypto market, and its success largely depends on the widespread adoption of crypto. Therefore, if you think that cryptocurrencies will skyrocket over the next decade, Coinbase could be a smart investment.
\n
UiPath: An AI pureplay
\n
While not as large as Coinbase, ARK ETFs hold over $1 billion of UiPath stock -- making it the sixth-largest holding across all of Wood's funds. UiPath is disrupting the way companies operate and handle tedious, repetitive tasks by normalizing the use of artificial intelligence and bots. The company has the vision to deliver a fully automated enterprise so that workers can optimize their efficiency, and the way the company is doing this has attracted companies like AutoDesk (NASDAQ:ADSK) and NASA.
\n
While UiPath's product sounds like a pie-in-the-sky dream, the company is more than real. It has over 9,600 customers and $818 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). With such dominance, UiPath has been named a market leader in the robotic process automation (RPA) market in Gartner's Magic Quadrant. As the leader, it has gained the trust and confidence of companies that might be wary of bringing automation and robots into the workplace.
\n
UiPath has lots of potential to grow. The company sees a $30 billion addressable opportunity by 2024, which would be immense growth from its current $818 million in ARR. UiPath might get some pushback along the way from those wary of integrating robots into the workplace, but its robots can provide efficiency improvements. The company has saved its customers millions of hours and dollars without putting workers' jobs on the line. UiPath is meant to work alongside human employees, and it has been successful in doing so.
\n
Shares have fallen drastically since it came public earlier this year, and that has provided a valuation that an appealing valuation public at 60 times sales, but it now trades at 22 times sales. Cathie Wood has taken the opportunity to buy more shares this December, and you might want to consider doing the same.
\n
Shopify: The rising e-commerce pick
\n
Shopify is farther down at the 11th-largest ARK position, but still represents $950 million worth of shares -- and for good reason. The company has doubled its gross merchandise volume (GMV) over the past 16 months, reaching $400 billion in cumulative GMV on its merchants' platforms in Q3. This has been because of the company's relentless focus on its customers' growth and success. This is unrivaled by competitors like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), which have often stifled SMBs by noticing their success and then offering and promoting a self-developed product that competes with them directly.
\n
The company recently announced a new feature that would make international sales easier for merchants. Shopify Markets would allow companies to streamline global expansion -- something many Shopify users might never have thought possible. The company also has plans to roll out additional features over the next few years, with one of my personal favorites being Shopify Fulfillment. With this, users could access the fulfillment network that Shopify is building out and let the company pack and ship orders for them.
\n
This focus on customer success is truly unique, which is why the company demands a very high premium. The company trades at roughly 40 times sales, which is the highest valuation out of these three stocks. However, I also believe that Shopify is the highest-quality stock on this list. The ARK Innovation ETF (NYSEMKT:ARKK) is down 38% off its all-time high and down 22% year to date.\nARK and Wood invest in lots of high-growth tech stocks that have been battered this year, which is what's causing the fund's poor performance. These companies are trading at bargain prices today, so you might want to consider putting them on your watchlist.\nCoinbase: A way to invest in crypto\nCoinbase is ARK Invest's third-largest holding, clocking in at a market value of $1.25 billion. Shares of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange have sunk like a stone recently, falling 32% off its all-time highs. However, this isn't fully indicative of business performance.\nWith over $255 billion in assets across 100 different countries and 72 million users, Coinbase has become a cornerstone of the crypto economy as one of the leading, most trusted cryptocurrency exchanges. The company takes a cut of every purchase of crypto on the platform, so the rise in popularity of cryptocurrency has resulted in impressive revenue success. The company's revenue increased by over 330% year over year in Q3. With this, the company has also achieved impressive profitability: Coinbase brought almost one-third of its revenue to the bottom line.\nWhile its reliance on cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) has led to amazing growth recently, it's really a double-edged sword. The company makes money only on purchases of crypto, so in large-scale crypto sell-offs, the company is left stranded. This leaves Coinbase largely vulnerable to the winds of the crypto markets.\nWith the recent sell-off of crypto and Bitcoin, Coinbase has followed suit -- falling to a valuation of just 22 times earnings. Whether this is justified or not, Coinbase will likely mimic the crypto market, and its success largely depends on the widespread adoption of crypto. Therefore, if you think that cryptocurrencies will skyrocket over the next decade, Coinbase could be a smart investment.\nUiPath: An AI pureplay\nWhile not as large as Coinbase, ARK ETFs hold over $1 billion of UiPath stock -- making it the sixth-largest holding across all of Wood's funds. UiPath is disrupting the way companies operate and handle tedious, repetitive tasks by normalizing the use of artificial intelligence and bots. The company has the vision to deliver a fully automated enterprise so that workers can optimize their efficiency, and the way the company is doing this has attracted companies like AutoDesk (NASDAQ:ADSK) and NASA.\nWhile UiPath's product sounds like a pie-in-the-sky dream, the company is more than real. It has over 9,600 customers and $818 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). With such dominance, UiPath has been named a market leader in the robotic process automation (RPA) market in Gartner's Magic Quadrant. As the leader, it has gained the trust and confidence of companies that might be wary of bringing automation and robots into the workplace.\nUiPath has lots of potential to grow. UiPath is meant to work alongside human employees, and it has been successful in doing so.\nShares have fallen drastically since it came public earlier this year, and that has provided a valuation that an appealing valuation public at 60 times sales, but it now trades at 22 times sales. Cathie Wood has taken the opportunity to buy more shares this December, and you might want to consider doing the same.\nShopify: The rising e-commerce pick\nShopify is farther down at the 11th-largest ARK position, but still represents $950 million worth of shares -- and for good reason. The company has doubled its gross merchandise volume (GMV) over the past 16 months, reaching $400 billion in cumulative GMV on its merchants' platforms in Q3. This has been because of the company's relentless focus on its customers' growth and success. This is unrivaled by competitors like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN), which have often stifled SMBs by noticing their success and then offering and promoting a self-developed product that competes with them directly.\nThe company recently announced a new feature that would make international sales easier for merchants. Shopify Markets would allow companies to streamline global expansion -- something many Shopify users might never have thought possible. The company also has plans to roll out additional features over the next few years, with one of my personal favorites being Shopify Fulfillment. With this, users could access the fulfillment network that Shopify is building out and let the company pack and ship orders for them.\nThis focus on customer success is truly unique, which is why the company demands a very high premium. The company trades at roughly 40 times sales, which is the highest valuation out of these three stocks. However, I also believe that Shopify is the highest-quality stock on this list. While all three of these stocks are appealing, Shopify has proven itself the most, and the company's expansion efforts beyond SMB look very promising. While there is more risk that share prices could continue dropping, I think it is worth paying up for high-quality companies, and Shopify fits that bill. Given the number of shares that Cathie Wood owns, I think she is in agreement.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"COIN":0.9,"PATH":0.9,"SHOP":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1875,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":698599620,"gmtCreate":1640434989460,"gmtModify":1640434989865,"author":{"id":"3559646996357772","authorId":"3559646996357772","name":"小熊家族","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3a5653b8f67e7f6deae6e1f8cef74bd0","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3559646996357772","authorIdStr":"3559646996357772"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Pls like ","listText":"Pls like ","text":"Pls like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":9,"commentSize":3,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/698599620","repostId":"1156159690","repostType":4,"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2821,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0},{"id":693486088,"gmtCreate":1640062404953,"gmtModify":1640062405364,"author":{"id":"3559646996357772","authorId":"3559646996357772","name":"小熊家族","avatar":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/3a5653b8f67e7f6deae6e1f8cef74bd0","crmLevel":4,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"idStr":"3559646996357772","authorIdStr":"3559646996357772"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Pls like ","listText":"Pls like ","text":"Pls like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":1,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://laohu8.com/post/693486088","repostId":"2192358181","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2192358181","kind":"highlight","pubTimestamp":1640055937,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2192358181?lang=&edition=full","pubTime":"2021-12-21 11:05","market":"us","language":"en","title":"3 Growth Stocks That Could Skyrocket 50% or More in 2022, According to Wall Street","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2192358181","media":"Motley Fool","summary":"There are good reasons for Wall Street analysts to be bullish about these stocks.","content":"
Want to have a really happy new year? Here are brief introductions to five contenders you might consider for your portfolio. With $25,000, you might park $5,000 in each, but you can choose just one or two, and you can, of course, invest less if you don't have $25,000 burning a hole in your pocket.
\n
1. Datadog
\n
Datadog (NASDAQ:DDOG) offers companies a cloud-based monitoring and security platform. Its stock has been on a tear in its short time on the public markets, more than tripling in value in about two years -- with an average annual growth rate of nearly 90%.
\n
The stock is popping because the company is. In its second quarter, revenue grew 67% year over year to $234 million, while its number of larger customers generating $100,000 or more in annual recurring revenue rose 59%. Datadog has partnerships in place with some rather sizable and prominent tech businesses, too, such as Microsoft and Salesforce.com, and it keeps adding to its offerings, making for a \"sticky\" environment that many customers won't want to leave.
\n
2. Palo Alto Networks
\n
Palo Alto Networks (NYSE:PANW) is a global leader in cybersecurity, something few individuals or companies would want to be without these days. The company's stock has surged roughly ninefold over the past nine years, averaging an annual return of about 27%. (For some context, the S&P 500 averaged closer to 15% over the same period, which is still far above average.) Palo Alto's future looks bright, too.
\n
In its recent fiscal year-end presentation, the company noted that it more than doubled the number of major product releases between fiscal 2019 and 2021, with 29 of them in 2021. In its impressive fourth quarter, revenue was up 28% year over year and total billings rose 34%. In the fourth quarter conference call, chair and CEO Nikesh Arora noted:
\n
\n As a company, we've continued to focus on getting more presence in our customers and getting larger deals with them. I'm delighted to say, we had 18 customers sign transactions over $10 million in the quarter. We had our first customer that surpassed $100 million in their booked business during the fiscal year as they standardized for Palo Alto Networks across the entire enterprise. And our Millionaire customers were up to 986 in Q4, approximately up 30% for the third quarter in a row.\n
\n
3. PayPal Holdings
\n
PayPal Holdings (NASDAQ:PYPL) may need little introduction, but many people don't appreciate what a big business it is -- with a recent market value topping $300 billion. That's partly due to the fact that PayPal is more than just PayPal. It also encompasses other services, such as the popular payment app Venmo. As of its second quarter, it had 403 million active accounts, and 4.7 billion payment transactions, with a total payment volume of $311 billion.
\n
PayPal's stock has soared more than 600% since the summer of 2015, when it was spun off by eBay, representing an average annual growth rate of about 37%. The company does face meaningful competition, such as from the likes of Square, but it's still a fintech leader, with plenty of growth likely ahead. Its customer engagement, for one thing, has been accelerating, with the number of transactions increasing.
\n
\n
4. Atlassian
\n
Atlassian (NASDAQ:TEAM) specializes in collaboration and productivity software, and recently boasted more than 200,000 customers. The company's fourth-quarter letter to shareholders bragged: \"We generated $560 million in revenue, up 30% year-over-year, and achieved subscription revenue growth of 50% year-over-year. We added over 23,000 net new customers and the pace of cloud migrations continues to build, increasing more than 2x year-over-year.\"
\n
Shares of Atlassian have been trading on the public market since late 2015, and since then they have surged more than 1,700%, enough to turn a $10,000 investment into more than $180,000. (That's an average annual growth rate of nearly 65%, by the way.) As the company grows via new product development and acquisitions, its future looks rosy.
\n
5. Shopify
\n
Shopify (NASDAQ:SHOP) may not be a household name, but it's well known in the business world, having achieved a market value recently near $170 billion by offering a popular e-commerce platform. In its second quarter, the company posted year-over-year revenue growth of 57%, with its subscriptions solutions revenue surging 70%, in large part thanks to new customers. The company's monthly recurring revenue (investors love to see recurring revenue, as it's generally predictable) rose 67%.
\n
There's a lot of growth going on at Shopify, and it shows when you look at how its stock has performed in recent years: Shopify shares have been well shopped by investors, advancing nearly an eye-popping 8,000% since only mid-2015. That's an average annual growth rate of about 99%, enough to turn a $10,000 investment into more than $800,000.
\n
That's enough to have some investors wondering whether the stock has gotten way ahead of itself. Here are brief introductions to five contenders you might consider for your portfolio. With $25,000, you might park $5,000 in each, but you can choose just one or two, and you can, of course, invest less if you don't have $25,000 burning a hole in your pocket.\n1. Datadog\nDatadog (NASDAQ:DDOG) offers companies a cloud-based monitoring and security platform. Its stock has been on a tear in its short time on the public markets, more than tripling in value in about two years -- with an average annual growth rate of nearly 90%.\nThe stock is popping because the company is. In its second quarter, revenue grew 67% year over year to $234 million, while its number of larger customers generating $100,000 or more in annual recurring revenue rose 59%. Datadog has partnerships in place with some rather sizable and prominent tech businesses, too, such as Microsoft and Salesforce.com, and it keeps adding to its offerings, making for a \"sticky\" environment that many customers won't want to leave.\n2. Palo Alto Networks \nPalo Alto Networks (NYSE:PANW) is a global leader in cybersecurity, something few individuals or companies would want to be without these days. The company's stock has surged roughly ninefold over the past nine years, averaging an annual return of about 27%. (For some context, the S&P 500 averaged closer to 15% over the same period, which is still far above average.) Palo Alto's future looks bright, too.\nIn its recent fiscal year-end presentation, the company noted that it more than doubled the number of major product releases between fiscal 2019 and 2021, with 29 of them in 2021. In its impressive fourth quarter, revenue was up 28% year over year and total billings rose 34%. In the fourth quarter conference call, chair and CEO Nikesh Arora noted:\n\n As a company, we've continued to focus on getting more presence in our customers and getting larger deals with them. I'm delighted to say, we had 18 customers sign transactions over $10 million in the quarter. We had our first customer that surpassed $100 million in their booked business during the fiscal year as they standardized for Palo Alto Networks across the entire enterprise. And our Millionaire customers were up to 986 in Q4, approximately up 30% for the third quarter in a row.\n\n3. PayPal Holdings\nPayPal Holdings (NASDAQ:PYPL) may need little introduction, but many people don't appreciate what a big business it is -- with a recent market value topping $300 billion. That's partly due to the fact that PayPal is more than just PayPal. It also encompasses other services, such as the popular payment app Venmo. As of its second quarter, it had 403 million active accounts, and 4.7 billion payment transactions, with a total payment volume of $311 billion.\nPayPal's stock has soared more than 600% since the summer of 2015, when it was spun off by eBay, representing an average annual growth rate of about 37%. The company does face meaningful competition, such as from the likes of Square, but it's still a fintech leader, with plenty of growth likely ahead. Its customer engagement, for one thing, has been accelerating, with the number of transactions increasing.\nImage source: Getty Images.\n4. Atlassian \nAtlassian (NASDAQ:TEAM) specializes in collaboration and productivity software, and recently boasted more than 200,000 customers. The company's fourth-quarter letter to shareholders bragged: \"We generated $560 million in revenue, up 30% year-over-year, and achieved subscription revenue growth of 50% year-over-year. We added over 23,000 net new customers and the pace of cloud migrations continues to build, increasing more than 2x year-over-year.\"\nShares of Atlassian have been trading on the public market since late 2015, and since then they have surged more than 1,700%, enough to turn a $10,000 investment into more than $180,000. (That's an average annual growth rate of nearly 65%, by the way.) As the company grows via new product development and acquisitions, its future looks rosy.\n5. Shopify \nShopify (NASDAQ:SHOP) may not be a household name, but it's well known in the business world, having achieved a market value recently near $170 billion by offering a popular e-commerce platform. In its second quarter, the company posted year-over-year revenue growth of 57%, with its subscriptions solutions revenue surging 70%, in large part thanks to new customers. The company's monthly recurring revenue (investors love to see recurring revenue, as it's generally predictable) rose 67%.\nThere's a lot of growth going on at Shopify, and it shows when you look at how its stock has performed in recent years: Shopify shares have been well shopped by investors, advancing nearly an eye-popping 8,000% since only mid-2015. That's an average annual growth rate of about 99%, enough to turn a $10,000 investment into more than $800,000.\nThat's enough to have some investors wondering whether the stock has gotten way ahead of itself. Many, though, especially long-term investors, see plenty of growth ahead -- and possibly a trillion-dollar market value.\nThere are no guarantees in the stock market, but these growth stocks seem quite promising. If you can imagine them valued much higher in the future, consider buying in. If you're not convinced they're attractively priced right now, perhaps just add them to your watch list or buy into them incrementally over time.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"DDOG":0.9,"PANW":0.9,"PYPL":0.9,"SHOP":0.9,"TEAM":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2213,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"CN","totalScore":0}],"defaultTab":"following","isTTM":false}
